This is the weekly Challenge of SHARE YOUR BATTLE, and the Theme for the Week is CRUEL SETHROPOD
Welcome to my Gaming Space where I give detailed analysis of my Splinterlands Battle.
For this week we shall discuss the theme of CRUEL SETHROPOD.
Like I always say, every weekly Battle Challenge is an opportunity for me to learn more about each Monster, their abilities and how best to use them. This, in turn, would help me better my understanding of Splinterlands game.
The Cruel Sethropod.... hmmm
I rarely use this Monster, however, this is an opportunity for me to explore and know more about this Monster, as well as using it for a battle.
Let's get into an in-depth analysis of this Monster and I will share a battle were I used it.
CRUEL SETHROPOD
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
Attack: MELEE
Abilities:
LORE
Sailors tell many tales of the dangers of the Cruel Sethropods. Armed with strong pincers and teeth as sharp as spears, they attack anything that gets within range. It is nearly impossible to remove a Cruel Sethropod once it has latched on, and many a sailor has the scars to show where they ventured too close.

MY BATTLE

My battle was against PIGDADA732 who chose Summoner and Monsters from the Primal Force of Fire. On the other hand, I selected my Summoner and my Monsters from the Primal Force of Water. We are both without Guilds.
RULES OF THE BATTLE
The rules of the game were:
- Standard Game: which means no changes, modification or addition to the normal playing techniques.
- Mana Cap of 15
- Elements that can be used include all: Water, fire, Earth, light, death and dragon.
MY STRATEGY AND LINE-UP
For my strategy, here are my Summoner and Monsters, and I'll tell you why I chose each Summoner and Monsters.
MY SUMMONER
Kelya Frendul
I chose Kelya Frendul as my Summoner in order to give my Monsters extra speed and shield.
MEET MY MONSTERS
Serpent Of Eld
Cruel Sethropod
Albatross
REASON FOR CHOOSING MY MONSTERS
Monster Name | Image | Reason for Choosing |
---|---|---|
Serpent Of Eld | Serpent Of Eld is a good first position Monster. It has good health, speed, attack effect plus an amazing ability to Dodge attacks. | |
Cruel Sethropod | This is the themed Monster of the week. It has a weak speed and low attack effect, however its shield helps it prevent blows from ranged and Melee attackers. | |
Albatross | With a low mana for the game, I picked this Monster of 1 mana cap to fill up the space. I placed it at this point to receive the hits from my opponent's Sneak or Opportunist Monster, if there is any. |
COMMENTARY AND SUMMARY ON THE BATTLE
RUMBLE
At the beginning of the Battle, the following events happened:
☆ My opponent's Summoner, Pyre gave my opponent's Monsters 1 speed each.
☆ My Summoner, Kelya Frendul, gave my Monsters 1 shield and 1 speed.
THE BATTLE LASTED FOR 7 ROUNDS
ROUND ONE
☆ In the First round, my Monster, Serpent Of Eld defeated my opponent's first position Monster.
ROUND TWO
☆ My opponent's opportunist Monster took out my Albatross. Well, remember, that is why I placed it there.
ROUND THREE
☆ In this round, both teams were without any loss.
ROUND FOUR
☆ With the defeat of my opponent's first position Monster, my victory was glaring because his remaining team members couldn't stand a chance.
ROUND FIVE, SIX AND SEVEN
☆ The rest was just a walk over 😁
....I WON THE BATTLE!!!
DID YOUR STRATEGY WORK?
Yes, it worked. Although I wasn't confident with the choices based on the small mana cap of the game, my Opponent's team was weaker.
DO YOU LIKE CRUEL SETHROPOD?
Well, it's not bad though. But I can't purchase it with my money, though.

An excellent publication, recently I also participated in this challenge, where I discovered that despite being a card without skills it is very useful at least in low mana battles.
Thank you so much
Yes it is
