I'm just not getting enough time or the situation for commentary, so I've not been talking about the rest of my journey in Uncharted: A Thief's End. So, I decided to do the writing as I can do it taking time as there's a draft option. Today I got a chance to play a chapter but not the situation to do commentary so I'm covering this chapter with my writing only.
So, it was right after the flashback of The Brother's Drake and now I had to follow Elena as she had a jeep somewhere that we could use to go for Sam.
After running around for some time, we noticed the jeep Elena mentioned she borrowed from Nathan's Shoreline friends. However, we couldn't use the way she used to come down as it was slipper. There was a ladder, and I helped Elena get up; she released it for me.
Then we noticed an elevator that was probably being used to carry resources from the river up on the mountain and we noticed we were getting close to the jeep.
We found another ladder where I boosted Elena but the ladder broke down after she got up so she found me a crate that pulled and used to get up on another part.
It looked like Elena had separated from Nathan and she was doing some pretty jumps when I was looking for a way to get to her.
When I jumped from this side to the other side of that wooden bridge, it collapsed and I started slipping below towards the river along with the bridge logs.
Fortunately, there was a swing point that I used to hold onto and after climbing up there, Nathan was talking abut the elevator being stuck for centuries and might not work now but Elena sent it to him though it stuck at some point.
I was looking for a way to get to Elena and when I was too close, two enemies noticed me and started shooting me when I was already hanging to death. Elena came over and took care of one of them when I shot down the other one.
And the Shoreline found their jeep before we did and it looked like there were a lot of them so I decided to take them down by surprise so the others won't shoot me as I still had some fights ahead.
After knocking everyone down in stealth, that was the last one and I tried a different death for him. I shot that barrel that blew up when that enemy was near and he blew up as well.
Then we got into the jeep and I started driving it to get to New Devon where we should find Sam, and we noticed that massive elevator which was far from us and we had to get to it anyhow.
This place looked beautiful with all the waterfalls around and it gave me visual treats for sure.
We reached this part where we found an elevator that's big enough to lift our jeep up but it was not in working position so I had to look for a way and Elena helped me there.
Elena helped me find an open window and then she stopped the wheel there so I could move ahead and I activated the elevator.
Elena drove the jeep into the elevator and it started moving up so I had to hurry and get on the elevator fast though I didn't find a way to get inside so I was just hanging on there.
When we were going up, a group the Shoreline found us and they started shooting us when I was in a real bad situation and I got killed there for like 4-5 times.
When I shot down all the enemies around me leaving Elena behind, I ran towards her as there were enemies trying to take her down but she bumped the enemies with the car before I reached her.
Then I drove the jeep through some real bad routes and was getting close to the last elevator that we'd use to get on top of the mountain.
And there we were, inside the elevator. When it was pulling them up, Nathan was asking Elena why she came back for him and she said she couldn't leave when he was clearly in over his head.
There was the only bridge that'd take me to New Devon but it collapsed when we were passing it and we fell on the water.
Elena somehow climbed up but I got stuck in the jeep as it kept going with the water current and I found a swing point there and used that to get saved.
I hardly got up there though Elena gave a hand and the chapter was not finished yet. We had to move forward, towards the collapsed bridge and we were already on the other side.
And at last, we found New Devon, and we found a grave where the bodies were not buried, but caged.
