As I mentioned before, I am a big fan of Pokémon games. And in this opportunity I want to talk about one that enters my top 3 favorites.
Como mencioné anteriormente, soy un gran aficionado a los juegos de Pokémon. Y en esta oportunidad quiero hablar de uno que entra en mi top 3 de favoritos.

A pesar de que Pokemon Stadium ya tenga casi 25 años, es impresionante lo bien que envejeció este juego. Si no supiera su fecha de lanzamiento y alguien me dijera que salió hace 10 años, me lo creería. Esto se debe al trabajo impecable y al gran amor que pusieron los desarrolladores. Resultando en un juego bastante decente, incluso para la época actual.

Pokémon Stadium was a real revolution at the time it came out. And this is due to a very simple reason, it improved in a very drastic and abrupt way the Pokémon battles. Otra revolución que trajo este juego, fue el hecho que te permitía poder usar los pokemones qué tenías en tus cartuchos de Pokémon Red, Blue y Yellow para disputar los distintos desafíos. Les explico, el Pokémon Stadium venía con unos aparatos que se conectaban por la parte inferior del joystick. Esos te habilitaban poder introducir cartuchos de Game Boy Color a través del joystick.
Being able to use the pokemon that you had been training for weeks and that had accompanied you on the adventure, to play different tournaments and competitions within Pokémon Stadium. It was amazing and great. Aside from being able to see them in high quality outside of your console. It was a very rewarding feeling.
Poder usar los pokemones qué estuviste entrenando por semanas y que te habían acompañado en la aventura, para disputar distintos torneos y competencias dentro de Pokémon Stadium. Era increíble y genial. Aparte de poder verlos en una alta calidad fuera de su consola. Fue una sensación muy gratificante.
Apart from the various tournaments and competitions, this game has a mini-games section. Not everything was battles, we could also compete with our friends in who could be the Magikarp that made the most jumps, who was the fastest Rattata, who was the fastest digging Sandshrew, etc. This at the age of 13 together with my brothers, was a lot of fun. And it was a way to keep the game from getting a bit monotonous.
Aparte de los diversos torneos y competencias, este juego posee una sección de minijuegos. No todo era batallas, también podíamos competir con nuestros amigos en quien puede ser el Magikarp qué hace más saltos, en quien era el Rattata más rápido, en quien era el Sandshrew que cava más rápido, etc. Esto en la edad de 13 años junto a mis hermanos, era muy divertido. Y era una forma de evitar que el juego se haga algo monótono.
The best thing is that this game had a section where you could continue the game of the cartridge you had on the joystick, but on the big screen. Plus you had the possibility of being able to play in x2 and x3 speed from here.
Lo mejor es que este juego tenía una sección donde podías continuar la partida del cartucho qué tenías en el joystick, pero en la pantalla grande. No se dan una idea lo que es pasar de la pantalla diminuta de la Game Boy Color que necesita luz para distinguirse a la gran pantalla de tu televisor. Sumado a qué tenías la posibilidad de poder jugar en velocidad x2 y x3 desde aquí.

Lo había vuelto a jugar hace unas semanas con mi hermano - de alguna forma lo único que es más gracioso que los minijuegos es sobrevivir por poco a los ataques de otro Pokémon y terminar ganando por esa suerte 😂
No lo he jugado extensamente en solitario como tal, pero se que tiene bastante que ofrecer para veteranos del juego (mi otro hermano se lo llegó a completar).
Es curioso como pasamos de los Stadium a los Coliseum (que eran prácticamente juegos de Pokémon caseros antes de la Switch), luego Battle Revolution salió pero era limitado en opciones si no tenías los juegos de DS...y hasta ahí quedó eso cuando ya los juegos de Switch eran juegos como tal de Pokémon ya que la Switch es portátil.

Otra cosa muy graciosa es cuando congelas un Pokémon del rival. Ya que en este juego el congelamiento era sentencia de derrota jaja.
Yo si lo he jugando extensamente, pero no logré completarlo al 100%. Me faltó conseguir el mítico Pikachu con surf.
Pude jugar hasta el Coliseum. Después se me complico seguir el ritmo por razones económicas xd. Aunque tengo entendido que no salió algo similar a Stadium. Por desgracia.

I cannot even imagine the excitement of shifting from 2D Pokémon battles to fully 3D ones with good animations. I never played this one though. But the minigames sounds fun. Poor Magicarps were abused! xD
Dude, I wouldn't be surprised if when I first played it I had an erection. The change was very abrupt. It was like going from playing classic Doom to straight up Doom Eternal. The jump is huge.
