I am on Hive since almost four years but I have never organized a giveaway and this is my first time.
admin of Farming Tales and he asked me if I would like to organize a giveaway on Hive to give out some Farming Tales NFTs and I gladly agreed.
Phage93 sent me several NFTs which I divided into 3 Starter Packs and also gave me total freedom in choosing the giveaway requirements.About a month ago I was contacted by @phage93 who is a Hiver and also an

- the draw methodology I chose for the giveaway
I want to write a short introduction about the Farming Tales game for those of my readers who who do not know this game.
What is Farming Tales?
(Brief Introduction)
Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain.
Farming Tales is the only non-Hive-based game I decided to play.
I decided to start playing and investing in Farming Tales for the following reasons:
Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
Farming Tales has some NFTs that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).
Farming Tales although is not a Hive-based game has chosen my beloved Hive to:

- publish updates related to the game (account: @farmingtales)
- organize contests to incentivize players to sign up on Hive and post game-related content
- on the Farming Tales Discord channel there is a section completely dedicated to Hive.
On November 30, 2022 Farming Tales implemented and released its Metaverse: the New Waxchester.
With the release of New Waxchester Farming Tales has become a multiplayer game.
From the home page of Farming Tales it is possible to choose between three different game modes:
- 1. New Waxchester Solo Mode
- 2. New Waxchester Multiplayer Mode
- 3. Farmer Mode
To start playing Farming Tales you need to create a Wax Wallet.
You can create it in two ways (Wax Cloud Wallet or Anchor Wallet) by following the steps outlined in the following guide: Tutorial: How to Create a Wax Wallet
To play the multiplayer mode you must register using an email.
Recently Farming Tales organized a contest on Hive to encourage the writing of Guides for new users and in the table below you can find the links of the guides ranked in the top four places.
Giveaway Prizes: 3 Starter Packs = Total Prizes Market Value: 873 WAX = 67$
The prizes up for grabs for this giveaway are 3 Starter Packs and therefore there will be 3 winners.
The first two Starter Packs contain:
- 1 NFT Vegetable Garden (common type)
- 1 NFT Water Tower (rare type)
- 1 NFT Barn (rare type)
- 1 NFT seed type (to be planted in the garden)
- 50 CBIT to recharge the Water Tower.
The third Starter Pack contains:
- 1 NFT Vegetable Garden (common type)
- 1 NFT Water Tower (rare type)
- 1 NFT seed type (to be planted in the garden)
- 50 CBIT to recharge the Water Tower.

50 CBIT are worth 9,250 WAX = $0.713
The total prize money of the giveaway is 873.38 WAX = $67,139
The first winner of the giveaway will receive a prize worth 27.30$
The second winner of the giveaway will receive a prize worth 26.58$
The third winner of the giveaway will receive a prize worth $13.25
Requirements to participate in the giveaway
Often in giveaways on Hive, the requirements are too easy to meet because often the giveaway giver thinks more about the reward of the post than who a prize can go to.
A giveaway worth $67.13 needs to have more stringent requirements in my opinion and must especially reward those who have medium to long term goals on Hive.
Hive is my favorite blockchain project and since Farming Tales has given me complete freedom in choosing the requirements I have decided to allow only Hive lovers to participate in this giveaway.
To exclude Hive farmers/milkers and to exclude multiaccounters and bots I decided to set the following requirements.
Requirements:
Requirement #1: You must have a Wax Wallet and you must write in a comment to this post the address of your WAX Wallet.
If you don't have a Wax Wallet you can create it by following the following guide: Tutorial: How to Create a Wax WalletRequirement #2: you must have a minimum of HP in your Hive Wallet:
- If you have been registered on Hive for less than 1 year, you must have at least 500 HP in your wallet.
- If you have been registered on Hive for more than 1 year you must have at least 100 HP for every month since your registration.
For example, if you have been on Hive for 2 years and 2 months you must have at least 2600 HP
- Requirement #3: On Hive you must have a reputation greater than or equal to 50
- Requirement #4: You must not have done Power Downs in the last 6 months.
If you have done Power Downs of your HPs in the last 6 months, you cannot participate - Requirement #5: You must not have moved your HIVEs or HBDs outside of the Hive ecosystem in the past 6 months.
- Example 1: If you have converted your HIVEs to SWAP.HIVE and then to SWAP.LTC or SWAP.BTC in the past 6 months you cannot participate
- Example 2: If, for example, you have used your HIVEs or HBDs to purchase tokens or NFTs of Hive based projects such as Splinterlands or dCrops assets or LEO tokens you can participate ;)
- Requirement #6: You must have a good level of interaction on Hive.
If your interaction level on Hive is low = if you have written fewer comments than the number of posts you have published, you cannot participate.

DeadLine e Modalità di estrazione
DEADLINE: You may participate in this giveaway up to seven days after the payment date of this post.
You then have a time to participate of 14 days from the time I published this post.
Within two to three days after the giveaway deadline, I will verify whether the winners have met all the requirements and I will distribute the prizes and publish a post stating the winners.
DRAWING METHOD: As the drawing method I have chosen a method totally independent of me to ensure a totally transparent drawing.
To all participation comments I will assign a progressive number from 1 to 90 (if number of partecipants = 90) or a range of numbers between 1 and 90 (if the number of partecipants < 90).
If there will be exactly 90 participants:
- The first comment will have the number 1 assigned.
- The 90th comment will have the number 90 assigned.
This means that the maximum number of participants is 90!
To ensure maximum transparency and my total non-involvement in the draw mechanics I will link my giveaway to the Saturday, March 4, 2023 draw of the national lottery "il gioco del Lotto " of my country: Italy.

Linked to the giveaway will be the drawing of the first wheel, which is that of BARI.
If the 5 numbers drawn on the BARI wheel are not sufficient to declare all three winners I will proceed to use the numbers drawn on the second wheel and then the third...
If there are 90 participants in the giveaway the first number drawn will decree winner number 1, the second number drawn will decree winner number 2, and the third number drawn will decree winner number 3.
For example if the first number drawn is 27 the participant who wrote the 27th comment will be the first winner.
If the giveaway participants will be less than 90 then I will divide the number 90 by the number of participants and assign a range of numbers to each participant based on the chronological order of comments.
For example, if there will be only 4 participants I will divide the grid of 90 numbers in the way you can see in the following image.
90 : 4 = 22.5 -> I will take the integer part of the result and to each participant I will assign a range of 22 numbers
If, for example, the draw on the BARI Wheel will be as follows:
The first winner will be the participant who wrote the second comment to participate in the giveaway.
The second winner will be the one who wrote the third comment of participation in the giveaway.
In this example case, I did not consider the second number drawn (37) because it is in the number range of the first winner.
In this example, the numbers drawn on the first wheel are not sufficient to find the third winner because the fourth number drawn is in the range of the first winner (4) and the fifth number drawn is in a range of numbers not assigned to any participant (89).
Should a case similar to this occur I will use the numbers drawn on the second wheel which is that of CAGLIARI.
In my simulation, the third and final winner is the person who wrote the third giveaway entry comment.

Cos'è Farming Tales?

Farming Tales è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain WAX.
Farming Tales è l'unico gioco non Hive-based a cui ho deciso di giocare.
Ho deciso di iniziare a giocare e ad investire su Farming Tales per i seguenti motivi:
- Farming Tales ha una bella grafica e utilizza un motore grafico 3D
- Farming Tales ha alcuni NFT che sono collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie (zafferano, miele,...).
- Farming Tales anche se non è un gioco Hive-based ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:

Requisiti per partecipare al giveaway
Spesso nei giveaway su Hive i requisiti sono troppo facili da soddisfare perchè spesso chi fa un giveaway pensa più alla ricompensa del post che a chi può andare un premio.
Un giveaway del valore di 67.13$ deve avere secondo me dei requisiti più stringenti e deve soprattutto premiare soprattutto chi ha obiettivi di medio-lungo termine su Hive.
Hive è il mio progetto blockchain preferito e dato che Farming Tales mi ha dato piena libertà nella scelta dei requisiti ho deciso di permettere la partecipazione a questo giveaway solo agli Hive lovers.
Per escludere farmers/milkers di Hive e per escludere multiaccounters e bots ho deciso di fissare i seguenti requisiti.
Requisiti:
Requisito #1: devi avere un Wallet Wax e devi scrivere in un commento a questo post l'indirizzo del tuo WAX Wallet.
Se non hai un Wax Wallet puoi crearlo seguendo la seguente guida: Tutorial: How to Create a Wax WalletRequisito #2: devi avere un minimo di HP nel tuo Hive Wallet:
- Se sei registrato su Hive da meno di 1 anno devi avere almeno 500 HP nel tuo wallet
- Se sei registrato su Hive da più di 1 anno devi avere almeno 100 HP per ogni mese trascorso dalla tua iscrizione.
Ad esempio se sei su Hive da 2 anni e 2 mesi devi avere un HP di almeno 2600 HP
Requisito #3: Su Hive devi avere una reputazione maggiore o uguale a 50
Requisito #4: Non devi aver fatto Power Down negli ultimi 6 mesi.
Se hai fatto Power Downs dei tuoi HP negli ultimi 6 mesi non puoi partecipareRequisito #5: Non devi aver portato i tuoi HIVE o HBD al di fuori dell'ecosistema di Hive negli ultimi 6 mesi.
- Esempio 1: se negli ultimi 6 mesi hai convertito i tuoi HIVE in SWAP.HIVE e poi in SWAP.LTC o SWAP.BTC non puoi partecipare.
- Esempio 2: Se ad esempio hai utilizzato i tuoi HIVE o HBD per acquistare tokens o NFTs di progetti Hive based come ad esempio gli assets di Splinterlands o di dCrops o i token LEO puoi partecipare ;)
- Requisito #6: Devi avere un buon livello di interazione su Hive.
Se il tuo livello di interazione su Hive è basso = se hai scritto un numero di commenti inferiore al numero dei post che hai pubblicato non puoi partecipare.

Se ad esempio ci saranno solo 4 partecipanti dividerò la griglia di 90 numeri nel modo che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente.
90 : 4 = 22.5 -> prenderò la parte intera del risultato e ad ogni partecipante assegnerò un range di 22 numeri
Se ad esempio l'estrazione sulla Ruota di BARI sarà la seguente:
Il primo vincitore sarà il partecipante che ha scritto il secondo commento di partecipazione al giveaway.
Il secondo vincitore sarà chi ha scritto il terzo commento di partecipazione al giveaway.
In questo caso di esempio non ho considerato il secondo numero estratto (37) perchè ricade nel range di numeri del primo vincitore.
Per trovare il terzo vincitore non sono sufficienti i numeri estratti sulla prima ruota perchè il quarto numero estratto ricade nel range del primo vincitore (4) e il quinto numero estratto ricade in un range di numeri non assegnati a nessun partecipante (89).
Se dovesse presentarsi un caso simile a questo utilizzerò i numeri estratti sulla seconda ruota che è quella di CAGLIARI.
Nella mia simulazione il terzo e ultimo vincitore è chi ha scritto il terzo commento di partecipazione al giveaway.

Evviva! :) sul requisito degli HP mi sono dovuto fare due calcoli, perchè con il fatto che il primo anno su Hive mi ero solo registrato senza fare niente, non ero sicurissimo di soddisfare il requisito... meno male che ci sono rientrato proprio a pelo! :)))
Ora spero di beccare, tra gli altri, anche il numero 7... vediamo in quanti si registrano, anche se - lo ammetto - avrei piacere di vedere tutti e 9o i posti occupati!
