Focus on Upcoming New Reward System: GLINT + 50% in Modern Format + The "Short Circuit" for Real Players Caused by Bots
On April 2 the new Reward System will be introduced on Splinterlands.
The new Reward System will eliminate:
- daily focus
- daily and seasonal rewards in chests.
The new Ranked System will introduce:
- GLINT (in-game non-transferable token).
- Reward Shop.
In the Reward Shop it will be possible to purchase:
- Draws
- Merits
- Energy
- Potions
- Limited Edition Titles (transferable).
The Draws will be similar to the current chests but will contain only Reward cards.
Draws will have more levels and costs in GLINT increasing based on level.
The cost of Draws will increase by 50% for every 10 Draws of the same level purchased by a player during a single season.
The new feature of the new Ranked System that will have the most impact on game dynamics will be the bonus of +50% in Glint for those playing in the Modern Format.
So those who play in the Modern Format, with the same game results, will earn more GLINT than those who play in the Wild Format.
This change may increase the number of players in the Modern Format.
With the new Reward System, it will no longer be possible to earn SPS tokens in chests, and the only way to earn SPS tokens will be to win a game battle.
Therefore the average gain in SPS per battle won will increase from the beginning of the next season.
In order to evaluate the impact the new Reward System will have on the game rewards in SPS, I took a screenshot of the Reward Pool statistics section of https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools that I will use to evaluate the differences after the introduction of the new reward system.
Obviously we will have to wait for the actual introduction of the new Reward System to evaluate the positive or negative effects of this new system but I like this change because in the new Rewards System I will be able to choose what to buy with my GLINT tokens without relying on the randomness of a random prize found in chests.
I really like to play on Splinterlands but only in the Modern Format where there are no bots because I like to play only against real players and not against bots.
In particular, the legendary Soulbound cards are particularly useful in battle and I hope to be able to increase their level faster when the new Reward System is active.
The Short Circuit Caused by Bots in Wild Format
Those who read my posts know very well what is my opinion about bots in the game of Splinterlands because I have repeatedly expressed my opinion in my posts and have even written entire posts dedicated to this topic.
I have never been against bots creators and I have never been against those who use bots but I have always been against Splinterlands choice to tolerate bots.
The pillars of any web 2 or web 3 game are the real players.
Bots, especially when efficient, drive real players away from any game!
This is why I am glad that Splinterlands has decided to reinforce Terms of Service regarding the banning of bots and battle helpers in Modern Format, Tournament and Brawls.
I also like that @sylar (the creator of Xbot) joined the Splinterlands team with the goal of countering the use of bots in Modern Format.
In fact, who better than he who created the most efficient bot can counter and recognize those who use bots in Modern Format?
I am happy with the changes that have taken place on Splinterlands and I am happy with the direction Splinterlands has taken in the last few months because real players who like to play on Splinterlands have finally been given more importance and more consideration than in the past but in my opinion it is still not enough and in this post I want to point out a big problem/aspect that is not considered as it should and that, if not solved, will create discontent and frustration among real players especially in the future and every time a new set will be released!
In fact the exit of a card set from Modern Format every time a new set is released is and will always be a big problem for real players!
Imagine a new player who, like me, wants to play only against real players and not against bots.
The new player starts playing and starts buying cards only of the sets that can be used in the Modern Format including cards of the Chaos Legion set.
When the new set comes out he will find himself in the unfortunate situation of not being able to use his Chaos Legion cards unless he chooses to play against bots in the Wild Format!
But that player chose the modern format from the beginning because he only wants to play against real players like him!
- he will be forced to play against bots that are much more efficient than him (= 0 fun) even if he has never wanted to play against bots and would never want to!
- or he will be forced to use a bot for his cards of past editions
- or he will be forced to sell cards that he can no longer use in the modern format.
**How frustrating will this situation be for a real player?
Is this a pro-real player situation?
In my opinion no and it should be corrected immediately!
How?
There are only two solutions to this problem in my opinion:
- eliminate bots and battle helpers even from Wild Format
- create a league just for bots.
Since bots and battle helpers were banned in Modern Format I immediately switched to Modern Format and my fun has increased.
I sold many of my cards from the Beta and Untamed editions because I could no longer use them in Modern Format.
I did not put up for sale only a few cards I was particularly fond of such as Byzantine Kitty.
Byzantine Kitty has always been my favorite summoner card, I've wanted it for a long time and took a long time to do the upgrade to level 3.
In my opinion Byzantine Kitty is still the strongest and most versatile summoner in Splinterlands but I haven't used her in in-game battles for a long time now and since Splinterlands doesn't seem to have as a short-term goal to remove bots even from Wild Format I decided to put her up for sale.
I should have sold Byzantine Kitty a long time ago but real players like me, unlike bot farms, get attached to the strongest/most useful cards and have fun as their first goal and then profit.
I honestly got tired of hoping that bots would be removed from the wild format.
Without bots in the Wild Format I would play in the Wild Format because with more pickable cards it is more fun than the Modern Format but with bots it is the least fun format for me!
My favorite card has totally lost its value to me because I don't have fun playing against bots like I wouldn't have fun making love with a robot! :)
I spent more than 1300$ to having Byzantine Kitty at level 3 and had a lot of fun using it in game battles before the Rebellion set was released but now if I sell it for 600$ I will be happy because I will have 600$ to invest in cards that can be used in Modern Format.
I recently added Akane of level 4 to my collection.
Akane has a lower market value than Byzantine Kitty but it is much more valuable to me than Byzantine Kitty because I can use Akane in battle while Byzantine Kitty cannot.
I love Splinterlands because it was my first blockchain game and because after more than 32K battles I still enjoy playing it.
I welcome the current direction taken against bots by @yabapmat and Splinterlands but in my opinion it is still too little and more should be done because real players deserve much more consideration than bot-farms, because real players are the pillars of Splinteralnds and not bot-farms and because a great and fun game like Splinterlands deserves to be played and not turned into an idle game by bots!

Il 2 aprile sarà introdotto il nuovo Reward System su Splinterlands.
Il nuovo Reward System eliminerà:
- daily focus

Il nuovo Ranked System introdurrà:

Nel Reward Shop sarà possibile acquistare:

I Draws saranno simili ai chests attuali ma conterranno solo Reward cards.
I Draws avranno più livelli e costi in GLINT crescenti in base al livello.
Il costo dei Draws aumenterà del 50% per ogni 10 Draws dello stesso livello acquistati da un giocatore durante una singola stagione.
La novità del nuovo Ranked System che avrà più impatto sulle dinamiche di gioco sarà il bonus del +50% in Glint per chi gioca nel Modern Format.
Quindi chi giocherà nel Modern Format, a parità di risultati di gioco, guadagnerà più GLINT rispetto a chi gioca nel Wild Format.
Questa novità potrebbe aumentare il numero di giocatori nel Modern Format.
Con il nuovo Reward System non sarà più possibile guadagnare i token SPS nei forzieri e l'unico modo per guadagnare i token SPS sarà vincere una battaglia di gioco.
Per questo motivo il guadagno medio in SPS per battaglia vinta aumenterà fin dall'inizio della prossima stagione.
Per valutare l'impatto che avrà il nuovo Reward System sulle ricompense di gioco in SPS ho fatto uno screenshot della sezione Reward Pool statistics del sito https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools che utilizzerò per valutare le differenze dopo l'introduzione del nuovo reward system.
Ovviamente bisognerà aspettare l'effettiva introduzione del nuovo Reward System per valutare gli effetti positivi o negativi di questo nuovo sistema ma mi piace questa modifica perchè nel nuovo Rewards System potrò scegliere cosa acquistare con i miei token GLINT senza affidarmi alla casualità di un premio random trovabile nei chests.
A me piace molto giocare su Splinterlands ma solo nel Modern Format dove non ci sono i bots perchè mi piace giocare solo contro giocatori reali e non contro i bots.
Per questo motivo con molta probabilità punterò sui Draws di livello alto perchè ci sono carte Reward Soulbound molto forti e utili in battaglia e mi piacerebbe avere queste carte al massimo livello nel mio deck.
In particolare sono le carte Soulbound leggendarie ad essere particolarmente utili in battaglia e spero di riuscire ad umentare il loro livello più velocemente quando sarà attivo il nuovo Reward System.
Chi legge i miei post sa molto bene qual'è la mia opinione sui bots nel gioco di Splinterlands perchè ho più volte espresso la mia opinione nei miei posts e ho anche scritto interi post dedicati a questo argomento.
Non sono mai stato contro i creatori di bots e non sono mai stato contro chi utlizza i bots ma sono stato sempre contrario alla scelta di Splinterlands di tollerare i bots.
I pilastri di ogni gioco web 2 o web 3 sono i giocatori reali
I bots, soprattutto se efficienti, allontanano i giocatori reali da qualsiasi gioco!
Per questo motivo sono contento che Splinterlands ha deciso di rinforzare i Terms of Service relativi al ban dei bots e battle helpers nel Modern Format, Tournament e Brawls.
Mi piace anche che @sylar (il creatore di Xbot) sia entrato nel team di Splinterlands con l'obiettivo di contrastare l'utilizzo di bots nel Modern Format.
Infatti chi meglio di lui che ha creato il bot più efficiente può contrastare e riconoscere chi usa i bots nel Modern Format?
Sono contento della direzione che ha preso Splinterlands negli utlimi mesi perchè i giocatori reali che amano giocare su Splinterlands hanno finalmente avuto più importanza e più considerazione rispetto al passato ma secondo me non è ancora sufficiente e in questo post voglio evidenziare un grande problema/aspetto che non è considerato come dovrebbe e che di fatto, se non risolto, creerà malcontento e frustrazione tra i giocatori reali soprattutto in futuro e ogni volta che un nuovo set verrà rilasciato!
Infatti la fuoriuscita di un set di carte dal Modern Format ogni volta che viene rilasciato un nuovo set è e sarà sempre un grande problema per i giocatori reali!
Immagina un nuovo giocatore che, come me, vuole giocare solo contro giocatori reali e non contro i bots.
Il nuovo giocatore inizia a giocare e inizia ad acquistare le carte solo dei set utilizzabili nel Modern Format tra cui le carte del set Chaos Legion.
Quando uscirà il nuovo set si troverà nella spiacevole situazione di non poter utilizzare le sue carte Chaos Legion a meno che non scelga di giocare contro i bots nel Wild Format!
Eppure quel giocatore ha scelto fin da subito il modern format perchè vuole giocare solo contro giocatori reali come lui!
Questo è secondo me un CORTO CIRCUITO che va totalmente contro l'impegno attuale di cercare di aumentare i giocatori reali su Splinterlands, non migliora l'esperienza del giocatore reale ed è un problema che deve essere risolto prima del rilascio del prossimo set di carte!
Le bot farms possono usare nel Wild Format tutte le carte di tutte le edizioni,
Il giocatore reale, ogni volta che uscirà un set dal formato moderno, sarà costretto a scegliere solo tra tre opzioni per le sue carte uscite dal formato moderno:
- sarà costretto a giocare contro i bot molto più efficienti di lui (= divertimento 0) anche se non lo desidera e non vorrebbe mai farlo!
- oppure sarà costretto a usare un bot per le sue carte delle edizioni passate
- oppure sarà costretto a vendere le carte che non può più utilizzare nel formato moderno.
Quanto sarà frustrante questa situazione per un giocatore reale?
E' questa una situazione pro giocatori reali?
Secondo me no e andrebbe immediatamente corretta!
Come?
Ci sono solo due soluzioni a questo problema secondo me:
- eliminare i bots e battle helpers anche dal Wild Format
- creare una lega solo per i bots
Da quando sono stati vietati i bots e i battle helpers nel Modern Format sono passato immediatamente nel Modern Format e il mio divertimento è aumentato.
Ho venduto molte mie carte delle edizioni Beta e Untamed perchè non le avrei potute più usare nel Modern Format.
Non ho messo in vendita solo alcune carte a cui ero particolarmente affezionato come ad esempio Byzantine Kitty.
Byzantine Kitty è sempre stata la mia carta evocatore preferita, l'ho desiderata per tanto tempo e ho impiegato molto tempo per fare l'upgrade al livello 3.
Secondo me Byzantine Kitty è ancora l'evocatore più forte e versatile di Splinterlands ma ormai non la uso da tanto tempo nelle battaglie di gioco e dato che Splinterlands non sembra avere come obiettivo di breve termine di rimuovere i bots anche dal Wild Format ho deciso di metterla in vendita.
Avrei dovuto vendere Byzantine Kitty molto tempo fa ma i giocatori reali come me, a differenza delle bot farms, si affezionano alle carte più forti/utili e hanno come primo obiettivo il divertimento e poi il guadagno.
Sinceramente mi sono stufato di sperare che i bots siano rimossi dal wild format.
Senza bots nel Wild Format giocherei nel Wild Format perchè con più carte sceglibili è più divertente del Modern Format ma con i bots è il formato meno divertente per me!
La mia carta preferita ha perso totalmente il suo valore per me perchè non mi diverto a giocare contro i bots come non mi divertirei a fare l'amore con un robot! :)
Ho speso più di 1300$ per avere Byzantine Kitty di livello 3 e mi sono divertito molto ad utilizzarla nelle battaglie di gioco prima del rilascio del set Rebellion ma adesso se la venderò a 600$ sarò contento perchè avrò 600$ da investire nelle carte utilizzabili nel Modern Format.

Considero positivamente la direzione attuale intrapresa contro i bots da @yabapmat e Splinterlands ma secondo me è ancora troppo troppo poco e andrebbe fatto di più perchè i giocatori reali meritano molta più considerazione delle bot-farms, perchè i giocatori reali sono i pilastri di Splinteralnds e non le bot-farms!

Thanks for the overview of the changes. I agree that a separate league for bots should be introduced. Putting the player experience first than having bots should be the priority.
Yes my friend I'm glad you feel the same way.
Bots are useful to individual players when time is short but botfarms invalidate this usefulness and destroy any future prospects for assets. This is why a league just for bots would be a solution

Sono d'accordo con te, ma se mi permetti il bot nei momenti di difficoltà ti aiuta a portare a casa le reward giornaliere;
Per esempio: in questo periodo ho molto poco tempo per giocare come vorrei, ed ho usato il bot in wild, certo che neanche io tollero le bot farm,in questo hai ragione quando giochiamo in modern almeno giochiamo contro giocatori reali e ti dirò....è pure bello perdere quando incontri qualcuno che conosci😀

Ma certo e capisco perfettamente l'utilità di usare un bot da parte dei giocatori ma a me piace guardare all'insieme e al medio-lungo periodo e ti posso assicurare che i bots anche se utili per i singoli giocatori sono distruttivi per le prospettive future di ogni gioco web 2 e web 3 e senza bots Splinterlands oggi avrebbe molti più giocatori ;)

I don't really know if it will help solve the bot issue. As of now, I still think there are bots in modern and I can't help but think all the mario accounts that I fight are bots. Do we know if they have stopped any accounts and how many did they force over to wild?

I been playing since 2018 and I do have some old original cards that I just love and can't get rid off.
Lord of darkness was my very first maxed card and I used to play him alot and mimosa. I still play in wild but also play modern with my other one.
I miss the old times and all the changes over the years have drained my motivation a bit and honestly today splinterland is no different than a government, they suck the money out of the players and the rewards just isn't there anymore.
I love the game as it is my first and only hive game but there have been times I thought about checking out. I won't tho but I do feel you on the bots and why I also chose modern a while instead of wild.
As a player I need motivation, fun playing, excitement and feel happy with rewards. I don't feel it like I used to. It used to be about the players but now all about money.
Guess it is like life all around these days 😜 lol
But I hope the new changes helps and Im here to see how it goes.

Come hai scritto, ci da la possibilità di scegliere almeno le tipologie di ricompense. Io mi sto scervellando per capire meglio come funzionano le LAND. Forse a breve inizieró anche a fare dei post a riguardo
