Exploring the mysteries of the Hinterlands in Dragon Age Inquisition.

Hi, guys! Today I bring you a new adventure from my journeys in Dragon Age Inquisition, a game that never ceases to amaze me with its vast world full of details, secrets, and challenges.

Hola, chicos!. Hoy les traigo una nueva aventura de mis andanzas en Dragon Age Inquisition, un juego que nunca deja de sorprenderme con su vasto mundo lleno de detalles, secretos y desafíos.

This time, I decided to take a break from the main quests and focus on something more relaxed and slow-paced (or so I thought): exploring and uncovering the locations marked on the maps I had found in the early areas.

En esta ocasión decidi tomarme un descanso de las misiones principales y quize enfocarme en algo mas tranquilo y pausado ( o eso pense) explorar y descubrir los lugares que estaban en los mapas que habia encontrado en las primeras zonas.

One of my destinations was the Hinterlands, which, for those who may not know, is the starting area of the game. It’s an enormous and diverse region filled with forests, hills, and ruins that hide more than they seem. However, uncovering its secrets is no easy task, so I armed myself with patience and got to work.

Uno de mis destinos fue las tirras interiores, que para quienes no lo sepan es la zona inicial y es una region enorme y variada llena de bosques, colinas y ruinas que ocultan mas de lo que paarentan aunque no es nada facil descubrirlo, asi que me arme de paciencia y me puse al lio.

With maps in hand, I set out to explore the area. From the start, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, as navigation isn’t exactly my strong suit, and in an open world as vast as Dragon Age’s, getting lost happens far more often than I’d like to admit.

Still, there was something thrilling about stopping to examine every detail of the landscape, comparing it to the clues on the map. Each ridge, tree, or ruin felt like it could hold the key to uncovering a hidden treasure. It added an extra layer of immersion, making me feel like a true adventurer piecing together a puzzle scattered across the wilds.

Con los mapas en mano, me dispuse a recorrer el área. Desde el principio, supe que no iba a ser nada fácil ya que la orientación no es precisamente mi fuerte, y en un mundo tan abierto como el de Dragon Age, perderse es algo que me pasa más seguido de lo que quisiera admitir.
De todas formas, había algo emocionante en detenerme a observar cada detalle del paisaje, comparándolo con las pistas del mapa.

One of the first challenges was searching for something near a waterfall. The map marked a specific spot with a few drawings that, honestly, didn’t give much away. Finding it was no easy task, as distinguishing between the numerous waterfalls and the dense vegetation didn’t help at all. I ended up spending a good while exploring different waterfalls, battling wolves, bears, bandits, and even closing rifts along the way.

But finally, when I found the right spot, I can say it was absolutely worth it. I was rewarded with rare materials, gold, and a few high-quality weapons for both myself and some of my party members. It felt like a well-earned treasure after all the effort, and it reminded me of why I love the exploration aspect of this game. Each discovery, big or small, feels like an adventure in itself.

Uno de los primeros desafio fue buscar algo cerca de una cascada, el mapa me marcaba un lugar especifico con unos dibujos que no daban muchas pistas rn realidad, y encontrar eso no fue nada facil ya que diferenciar los dicimiles saltos de agua y la vegetación que no ayudaba, asi que pase un buen rato exploramdo cascadas luchando con lobos ,osos,vandidos y cerrando grietas en el proceso.
Pero finalmente cuando di con el lugar puedo decir que valio la pena ya que me recompensaron con materiales raros, oro y alguna que otra arma de buena calidad para mi y algunos de los compañerosde equipo.

But the real challenge was yet to come: the riddle of the Grandfather’s Tomb. This was the fourth spot I visited based on the map, and it led me to a monolith located in a cemetery. Thankfully, finding it wasn’t too difficult, as I remembered seeing a spot that matched the description when I passed by the spider nest earlier.

However, when I arrived and explored the area, I found a note that spoke about the "cycle of time." It was cryptic and confusing, to say the least. After a while of debating the puzzle with my cousin, we concluded that I had to walk around the monolith three times in a clockwise direction. But here was the kicker: which monolith? There were tons of stones scattered around that could be monoliths (seriously, why so many?).

So, I started circling every single stone that remotely looked like one, going round and round like a confused adventurer chasing their tail. Finally, after about 15 minutes of trial and error, I found the right one—it was literally right at the entrance, complete with a clock-like sphere on top! Talk about facepalming hard after that.

Pero el verdadero reto aun estaba por llegar, el enigma de la tumba del abuelo, este fue como el 4to de los lugares que visité segun el mapa debia llegar a un monolito que estaba por un cementerio y me cue bastante facil dar con el ya que lo recordaba de cuando pase por el nido de las arañas habia un lugar que encajaba con la descripción.
Pero al llegar e ir al lugar encontre una nota que decia algo del ciclo del tiempo y era totalmente confusa, asi que despues de un giempo de estar debatiendo el enigma con mi ñrimo llegamos a la conclusión de que habia que girar 3 veces en dirección de las manecillas d reloj alrededor de un monoloto, pero el problema es que de cual porque habian muchos ( que hp ) asi que me puse en marcha a dar vueltas alrededor de cualquier pidra que viese similar a un monoloto , hasta que finalmente tras uno 15 minutos di con la correcta jajaja ( estaba en mi cara a la entrada del lugar con una esfera de reloj encima)

But the moment the scene activated was one of those instances of absolute satisfaction.

Pero el momento en que la escena se activo fue uno de esos instantes de satisfacción obasoluta.

Beyond the rewards, what fascinated me was how the game made me stop and think beyond the conventional, setting it apart from many games of today. This game doesn’t just give you missions; it forces you to connect with its world in the most unexpected ways.

Mas alla de las recompensas lo que me fascino fue como el juego me obligo a detenerme apensar mas alla fuera de lo convencional, diferenciándolo de muchos juegos de estos tiempos y es que este juego no solo da misiones sino que obliga a conectar con su mundo y lo hace de las formas más inesperadas.

I could spend three more days talking about this.

Dragon Age reminded me why I love it so much. It's not just an RPG with a great story; it's an immersive experience that rewards the curious and the patient. Every map, every corner, and every detail is there for a reason, waiting to be discovered.

Esta sección de juego no termino ahi pero si continuo podria estar 3 dias mas hablandomes del tema.

Dragin age me recordó por qué lo amo tanto y es que no es solo un RPG con una buena historia; es una experiencia inmersiva que recompensa a los curiosos y a los pacientes. Cada mapa, cada rincón y cada detalle están ahí por una razón, esperando a ser descubiertos.
