After everything that had happened, I managed to send the distress signal from the top of the communications tower. It was an epic moment, one of those that makes you feel like things are finally going to work out. The signal was received, and hope began to grow. All that was left was to wait for the rescue team to show up. The guys on the radio were excited, and for a second, I really believed the worst was over. But of course, it was way too calm to be true.
Después de todo lo que había pasado, logré enviar la señal de auxilio desde lo alto de la torre de comunicaciones. Fue un momento épico, de esos que te hacen sentir que finalmente las cosas van a salir bien. La señal fue recibida y las esperanzas comenzaron a crecer. Solo quedaba esperar a que el equipo de rescate apareciera. Los chicos en la radio estaban emocionados, y por un segundo, realmente creí que lo peor había pasado. Pero claro, estaba demasiado tranquilo para ser cierto.
As I made my way to set up a visual signal so they could locate us from the air, I had to fight my way through several enemies patrolling the area. The battles were intense, but nothing Lara couldn’t handle.
The best part is how the game manages to balance action with narrative tension, keeping you on edge at all times.
Mientras me dirigía a dejar una señal visual para que pudieran ubicarnos desde el aire, tuve que abrirme paso entre varios enemigos que patrullaban la zona. Las peleas fueron intensas, pero nada que Lara no pudiera manejar.

From the top of a hill, I could see the rescue plane approaching. The excitement was palpable. Even the guys on the radio were overflowing with joy. For a moment, I thought, "This time, we’ve really made it."
And that’s when the storm appeared out of nowhere.
Desde lo alto de una colina pude ver el avión de rescate aproximándose. La emoción era palpable. Incluso los chicos por la radio se desbordaban de alegría. Por un momento pensé: “Esta vez sí lo logramos”. Y fue entonces cuando la tormenta apareció de la nada.
Lightning tore through the sky, and before I could react, one struck the plane directly. The scene was brutal — the aircraft destabilized and began to nosedive. The feeling of helplessness and despair as I watched the hope of rescue crumble before my eyes was overwhelming. Lara stood motionless for a second, and I did the same in front of the screen. But I knew that if there was any chance someone had survived the crash, I had to do something.
Unos rayos desgarraron el cielo y antes de que pudiera reaccionar, uno de ellos impactó directamente en el avión. La escena fue brutal, la aeronave se desestabilizó y comenzó a caer en picada, la sensacion de impotencia y desesperación mientras observaba cómo la esperanza de rescate se desmoronaba ante mis ojosfue abrumadora,Lara se quedó inmóvil por un segundo y yo junto a ella tras la pantalla, pero sabía que si había una oportunidad de que alguien hubiera sobrevivido al impacto, tenía que hacer algo.
I set off toward the crash site, moving quickly through rough terrain filled with danger. Along the way, I stumbled upon another hidden tomb that my girlfriend had mentioned during her playthrough. She had told me it was impossible to solve, but to my surprise, I managed to figure out the puzzle quickly. It involved manipulating some windows and air pressure to align certain mechanisms. The satisfaction of solving it was immense, especially since it was one of those optional tombs that add so much depth to the game.
Me puse en marcha hacia el lugar del accidente, moviéndome con rapidez a través de un terreno complicado y plagado de peligros. En el camino, encontré otra tumba oculta que mi novia me había mencionado en su partida. Ella me dijo que le había resultado imposible resolverla, pero para mi sorpresa, logré descifrar el puzzle rápidamente. Se trataba de jugar con unos ventanales y la presión del aire para alinear ciertos mecanismos. Fue una satisfacción enorme lograrlo, sobre todo porque era una de esas tumbas opcionales que agregan profundidad al juego.
When I arrived at the site, the situation turned critical. The pilot had survived the crash and managed to send a signal. I tried to reach him, but an explosion threw me through the air and left me dazed. As I recovered, I watched helplessly as the enemies executed the pilot.
Anger and frustration surged through me, but before I could react, something completely unexpected happened.
Cuando llegué al lugar la situación se tornó crítica. El piloto había sobrevivido al impacto y logró enviar una señal. Intenté llegar hasta él, pero una explosión me lanzó por los aires y me dejó aturdido. Mientras me recuperaba, vi cómo los enemigos ejecutaban al piloto.
La rabia y la frustración me invadieron, pero antes de que pudiera reaccionar, ocurrió algo completamente inesperado.
A group of warriors in samurai armor appeared out of nowhere and began fighting the bandits. It was a surreal scene. I didn’t know if I was hallucinating or if I had really seen what I thought I had seen. The island clearly holds secrets far darker than I had imagined.
Un grupo de guerreros con armaduras de samurái apareció de la nada y comenzó a enfrentarse a los bandidos. Fue una escena surrealista. No sabía si estaba alucinando o si realmente había visto lo que creía haber visto. La isla claramente guarda secretos mucho más oscuros de lo que pensaba.
Now it's time to keep moving forward, even when it feels like fate is working against me. The storm is still raging, and the enemy forces aren’t going to stop. But Lara has proven time and time again that she can survive anything. Who were those samurai? Was it real or just a vision brought on by exhaustion? That’s something I’ll have to uncover in the next part of this adventure.
Ahora toca seguir adelante, incluso cuando parece que el destino está en mi contra. La tormenta todavía ruge con fuerza y las fuerzas enemigas no van a detenerse. Pero Lara ha demostrado una y otra vez que es capaz de sobrevivir a cualquier cosa. ¿Quiénes eran esos samuráis? ¿Fue real o solo una visión provocada por el agotamiento? Eso es algo que tendré que descubrir en la próxima parte de esta aventura.

STOPThe way they build up tension and then finally do it again is almost unmatched in the gaming industry. Very hard to master, that entire radio tower climb was a perfect example of it and when all seemed good, suddenly the rescue team died.
