Hey guys from #hivegaming, today was one of those days where there weren’t major story progressions, but plenty of pending tasks finally got done. Exploration, hunting, and diplomacy were the key themes of today’s chapter—an episode where I revisited several areas to tie up loose ends, collect items, complete side quests, and, of course, face one of the most feared beasts in Thedas: a dragon from the Chimera Forest
Hola chicos de #hivegaming, hoy ha sido un día de esos en los que no hay grandes avances en la historia, pero sí muchas tareas pendientes que finalmente logré completar. Exploración, cacería y diplomacia fueron las claves del capítulo de hoy, un episodio en el que volví a recorrer varias zonas para cerrar asuntos inconclusos, recoger objetos, completar misiones secundarias y, por supuesto, enfrentarme a otra de las bestias más temidas de Thedas, un dragón del bosque Cimera.
I returned to Skyhold, where I encountered a rather tense situation. One of the council members looked worried, and when I spoke to her, I discovered the reason—she had received a death threat. It wasn’t just any threat; someone from the assassin's guild had been sent after her, meaning her life was in imminent danger.
Comencé regresando al Nuevo Refugio, donde me encontré con una situación bastante tensa. Una de las miembros del consejo se veía preocupada, y cuando le saqué conversación, descubrí el motivo, había recibido una amenaza de muerte. No era cualquier amenaza; alguien del gremio de asesinos había sido enviado tras ella, lo que significaba que su vida estaba en peligro inminente.
We decided to arrange a meeting with the assassin to clarify the situation. When we met, it turned out to be a surprisingly diplomatic conversation—far from what I expected from someone who kills for hire. Among the dialogue options, I had the chance to eliminate him immediately, but his calm demeanor and the way he handled the conversation made me choose the peaceful approach. I decided to play along, trying to understand more about his intentions. In the end, before leaving, he made it clear that our next encounter would be his target’s last breath, bidding farewell with an unsettling tranquility. Now, I have to figure out how to prevent him from carrying out his mission without this ending in more bloodshed.
Decidimos coordinar una reunión con el asesino para aclarar la situación. Cuando nos encontramos, resultó ser una conversación sorprendentemente diplomática, muy lejos de lo que esperaba de alguien que se dedica a matar por encargo. Entre las opciones de diálogo, tuve la posibilidad de eliminarlo de inmediato, pero su actitud serena y su forma de manejar la conversación me hicieron optar por la vía pacífica. Preferí seguirle la corriente, tratando de entender más sobre sus intenciones. Al final, antes de irse, dejó claro que el próximo encuentro sería el último aliento de su objetivo, despidiéndose con una tranquilidad perturbadora. Ahora tengo que descubrir cómo evitar que lleve a cabo su misión sin que esto termine en más sangre derramada.
With this problem in mind, I decided to clear my head with some action and went to face the Northern Hunter, the electric-element dragon of the Chimera Forest. Fresh off my recent victory over another dragon, I felt confident enough to take on this new challenge. However, it turned out to be a much tougher battle than I had anticipated.
Con este problema en mente, decidí despejarme con algo de acción y me fui a enfrentar al cazador del norte, el dragón de elemento eléctrico del bosque Cimera. Viniendo de la reciente victoria sobre otro dragón, me sentía con la confianza suficiente para enfrentar este nuevo desafío. Pero resultó ser una batalla mucho más complicada de lo que esperaba.
To begin with, I had Dorian on my team, who specializes in lightning magic, which meant that most of his attacks were practically useless against this enemy. Fortunately, the staff he carried had an ice attack by default, and I had added some fire abilities to help balance things out a bit. Even so, the fight was long and exhausting. The dragon was fast, unleashed devastating attacks, and forced me to use more potions than I would have liked. The intensity of the battle was so overwhelming that I didn’t even have time to take decent screenshots. But in the end, after a hellish struggle, the beast finally fell.
Para empezar, tenía en mi equipo a Dorian, quien está especializado en magia de relámpagos, lo que significaba que gran parte de sus ataques eran prácticamente inútiles contra este enemigo. Afortunadamente, el báculo que llevaba tenía un ataque de hielo por defecto, y le había agregado algunas habilidades de fuego que sirvieron para equilibrar un poco la balanza. Aun así, la pelea fue larga y agotadora. El dragón era rápido, lanzaba ataques devastadores y me obligó a gastar más pociones de lo que me habría gustado. La intensidad del combate fue tanta que ni siquiera tuve tiempo de tomar capturas decentes de la batalla. Pero al final, tras una lucha infernal, la bestia cayó.
After the victory, I refocused on some pending tasks. I went in search of gloves I had been wanting to eliminate, closed several rifts that had been too complicated at the time, and in general, I made progress in clearing the map and gathering materials to craft a better set of weapons for the next section of the game.
Después de la victoria, volví a centrarme en algunas tareas pendientes. Fui en busca de gucantes queestaba anhelando rliminar , cerré varias brechas que en su momento habían sido demasiado complicadas y, en general, avancé en la limpieza del mapa y en la obtencion de materiales para fabricarme una mejor set de armas para el proximo seccion de juego.
