Hey guys, today was without a doubt one of the most epic and intense gaming sessions I’ve experienced in my adventure through the vast world of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I want to share it with you.
Hola chic@s , hoy fue sin duda una de las sesiones de juego más épicas e intensas que he vivido en mi aventura por el vasto mundo de Dragon Age Inquisition y quiero compartirla con ustedes.
It all began when I returned from the Forbidden Oasis, that desert where I was lost for much longer than I expected. Exhausted and with my morale somewhat low, I went back to Haven with the intention of upgrading my gear, recovering my strength, and finally progressing in the main story.
What I didn’t expect was for my world to fall apart in a matter of minutes.
Todo comenzó cuando regresé del Oasis Sombrío, ese desierto donde estuve perdido mucho más tiempo de lo que esperaba asi que agotado y con la moral algo baja, volví a Refugio con la intención de mejorar mi equipo, reponer fuerzas y, finalmente, avanzar en la historia principal.
Lo que no esperaba era que mi mundo se fuera a desmoronar en cuestión de minutos.
After meeting with the council at the War Table, I sent my agents to complete some secondary missions I had accumulated. Everything seemed calm, but suddenly, the alarm sounded—we were under attack.
Luego de reunirme con el consejo en la Mesa de Guerra, envié a mis agentes a completar algunas misiones secundarias que había acumulado. Todo parecía tranquilo, pero de repente, sonó la alarma, estábamos bajo ataque.
From the mountains, I could see hundreds of torches lighting up the darkness, like cursed stars in the sky. At that moment, I realized we were in serious trouble. The peace we had enjoyed in Haven shattered in an instant. The Red Templars and the Elder One had arrived to destroy us.
Desde las montañas, pude ver cientos de antorchas iluminando la oscuridad como si fueran estrellas malditas en el firmamento. En ese momento, comprendí que estábamos en serios problemas. El ambiente de paz que habíamos disfrutado en Refugio se quebró en un parpadeo. Los templarios rojos y el Antiguo habían llegado para destruirnos.
They didn’t give us any time to recover from the last event, so we had no choice but to shelter the civilians inside the conclave and organize a resistance with the men we had available. The problem was that they outnumbered us… and they didn’t just bring soldiers, but also a beast by their side—an enormous dragon.
No nos dieron tiempo ni para recuperarnos del último acontecimiento, asi que sin más opción, refugiamos a los civiles en el interior del cónclave y organizamos una resistencia con los hombres que teníamos disponibles. El problema era que nos superaban en número… y no solo traían soldados, sino también una bestia a su lado un enorme dragón.
It was impossible to win that battle in a direct confrontation, so I came up with a desperate strategy. I remembered a scene from Mulan (yes, the Disney one) and decided to replicate her tactic using a catapult. If I could hit the mountain and trigger an avalanche at the right moment, we might be able to balance the odds. But just as I was about to execute the plan, an even worse enemy appeared.
Era imposible ganar esa batalla en un enfrentamiento directo, así que tracé una estrategia desesperada. Recordé una escena de Mulán (sí, la de Disney) y decidí replicar su táctica con una catapulta, si lograba golpear la montaña y provocar una avalancha en el momento exacto, podríamos esequilibrar fuerzas. Pero justo cuando me disponía a ejecutar el plan, apareció un enemigo aún peor.
In the midst of the chaos, a demonic-looking and terrifying Templar captain stood in my way. This guy wasn’t just tough—he hit with brutal force. And this was where my strategic mistake started to take its toll. I was testing out a new tank for my team (whom I affectionately nicknamed Toreto), but he wasn’t fully upgraded yet. The result? The fight was absolute hell.
I had to constantly switch between characters, keeping the weaker ones away, spamming healing spells, and carefully positioning everyone to avoid getting wiped out in seconds. I was doing everything manually because the AI alone wasn’t going to save me from this mess. It was a frantic battle, full of twists and split-second decisions.
En medio del caos, un capitán templario con un aspecto demoníaco y aterrador se interpuso en mi camino ste tipo no solo era resistente, sino que golpeaba con una brutalidad impresionante y aquí fue donde mi error estratégico comenzó a pasar factura, ya que estaba probando a un nuevo tanque en mi equipo (Toreto, como lo apodé cariñosamente), pero aún no tenía las mejoras adecuadas, resultado (la pelea fue un infierno).
Tuve que cambiar constantemente entre los personajes, alejando a los más débiles, usando hechizos curativos a cada rato y buscando posicionamiento para evitar que nos aniquilaran en segundos. Todo lo hacía manualmente, porque la IA por sí sola no iba a sacarme de esta situación, fue una pelea frenética, llena de giros y decisiones al límite.
To make matters worse, the Elder appeared with his eerie, whispering voice, speaking to me about the Old Gods and the power I had supposedly stolen. All of this while I was desperately trying not to get crushed by a dragon and an army of Templars.
But just when all hope seemed lost... the kaboom plan worked. I managed to activate the catapult at the perfect moment, the dragon took the hit, and amid the chaos, we seized the opportunity to escape.
Para colmo, el Antiguo se apareció con su voz susurrante, hablándome de los dioses antiguos y el poder que supuestamente había robado. Todo esto mientras intentaba no morir aplastado por un dragón y un ejército de templarios.
Pero justo cuando todo parecía perdido… el plan kabumfuncionó. Logré activar la catapulta en el momento justo, el dragón recibió el impacto y en medio del desorden, conseguimos escapar.
The retreat was brutal. We spent days wandering through the freezing mountains, with the survivors on the brink of collapse. But just when hope seemed to fade, something incredible happened—we spotted a ruined castle, hidden among the peaks. Abandoned, yet imposing and defiant, it was waiting to be claimed.
La retirada fue brutal. Pasamos días vagando por las frías montañas, con los supervivientes al borde del colapso. Pero cuando la esperanza parecía desvanecerse, ocurrió algo increíble avistamos un castillo en ruinas, oculto entre las montañas abandonado, pero imponente y desafiante que estaba esperando ser reclamado.
It was the perfect place to rebuild the Inquisition—a stronghold that, in time, we could restore and fortify. The fall of Haven was a devastating blow, but here we had a second chance.
And that’s where today’s epic adventure ends! I’ll be reading your comments.
Era el lugar perfecto para reconstruir la Inquisición. Un bastión que, con el tiempo, podríamos restaurar y fortalecer. La caída de Refugio fue un golpe devastador, pero aquí tendríamos una segunda oportunidad.

That castle looks amazing through the clouds. You were looking down from over the clouds...that was gorgeous shot.
Fue impresionante y lo mejor de todo es que al llegar me di cuenta que el castillo lo puedo personalizar casi a mi antojo fuaaaa brutal.
One of the best RPG game out there. More like a sandbox but full of narrative and graphics so good. It has moree characterization than the Witcher series.
