Today, I bring you a game called Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, an adventure and open-world game.
I'm here to share with you the story mode of this game, where we'll accompany Edward Kenway, a young pirate with ambitions for wealth, who finds himself entangled in a conflict between Templars and Assassins that goes beyond anything he can imagine.

Hoy les traigo un juego llamado Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag es un juego de aventuras y mundo abierto.
Vengo a compartir con ustedes el modo historia de este juego en el que tendremos que acompañar Edwar Kenway un joven pirata con ambiciones de riqueza, quien se ve envuelto en un conflicto entre Templarios y asesinos que va más allá de lo que puede imaginar.

Today I dove headfirst into another session of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and although the main mission was to reach the port of Kingston to begin the rescue of the Sage, the journey itself turned out to be a full-fledged adventure on its own. I already knew the route would be long, so I decided to make good use of the time and take care of something I had pending—hunting a lamia shark that had been lurking near the coordinates I planned to sail through.
Hoy me lancé de lleno a otra partida en Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag y, aunque la misión principal era llegar al puerto de Kingston para iniciar el rescate del sabio, el viaje en sí terminó siendo toda una aventura por derecho propio. Ya de por sí sabía que el trayecto iba a ser largo, así que decidí aprovechar el tiempo y hacer algo que ya tenía pendiente, cazar un tiburón lamia que merodeaba cerca de las coordenadas por donde pensaba navegar.
I readied the harpoons, secured the boats, and we lowered ourselves into the water, fully prepared for the encounter. The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife. The waves rocked the boat with force, and the silence was only broken by the creaking of wood and the shouts of the sailors. The shark didn’t take long to show—it was massive, fast, a deadly shadow beneath the surface. But thanks to the upgrades I’d already made to the harpoons, the hunt was quicker than expected. A couple of well-aimed throws were enough to bring the beast down. When we finally hauled it onto the boat, I knew the effort would pay off in valuable materials for crafting tools and upgrades.
Preparé los arpones, aseguré los botes y bajamos al agua listos para enfrentarlo. La tensión se podía cortar con un cuchillo. El oleaje movía la barca con fuerza, y el silencio sólo se rompía con el crujido de la madera y los gritos de los marineros. El tiburón no tardó en aparecer, enorme, ágil, una sombra letal bajo el agua. Pero gracias a las mejoras que ya le había hecho a los arpones, la caza fue más rápida de lo que esperaba. Un par de buenos lanzamientos certeros bastaron para doblegar a la bestia. Cuando finalmente lo subimos a la barca, supe que ese esfuerzo me traería recompensas en forma de materiales valiosos para la fabricación de herramientas y mejoras.
With that taken care of, I continued my journey through heavily guarded seas and storm-ridden zones. Every time the skies darkened and lightning began to strike the ocean, I was reminded that there's no place more dangerous than the sea when it’s angry. But my biggest setback didn’t come from nature—it came from a fortified outpost blocking the passage between two islands. I wasn’t ready to take it on directly, so I was forced to steer around it, losing some time but avoiding a battle that surely would have cost me dearly.
Con eso resuelto, continué el viaje por mares custodiados y atravesando zonas plagadas de tormentas. Cada vez que el cielo se oscurecía y los rayos empezaban a golpear el mar, recordaba que no hay lugar más peligroso que el océano cuando se enfurece. Pero mi mayor contratiempo no fue la naturaleza, sino un fortín armado que bloqueaba el paso entre dos islas. No estaba preparado aún para enfrentarme a él directamente, así que me vi obligado a rodearlo, perdiendo algo de tiempo, pero evitando una batalla que sin dudas me habría costado caro.
Upon arriving in Kingston, I was pleasantly surprised—the city was much larger and livelier than I had expected. People filled the streets, with street vendors, guards, musicians… it was like a living postcard of the colonial Caribbean. I climbed a viewpoint to synchronize the first area of the map and get a better sense of the terrain. Then, without wasting any more time, I headed straight to the mission point.
Al llegar a Kingston me llevé una grata sorpresa, la ciudad era mucho más grande y animada de lo que esperaba. Gente en las calles, vendedores ambulantes, guardias, músicos, toda una postal viva del Caribe colonial. Subí a una atalaya para sincronizar la primera zona del mapa y tener una mejor idea del terreno. Luego, sin perder más tiempo, me dirigí hacia el punto de la misión.
That's where I ran into James Kidd again, who was already in the city with a clear goal: to eliminate Torres and Prins. But of course, we couldn't act so hastily. I had to stop him from killing them right then and there, while also tailing them from the shadows, silently taking out several guards without being detected. It was a mission that demanded patience, precision, and absolute stealth.
Ahí fue donde me encontré nuevamente con James Kidd, quien ya estaba en la ciudad con un objetivo claro eliminar a Torres y a Prins. Pero claro, no podíamos actuar tan rápido. Yo tenía que impedir que los matara en ese momento, y a la vez seguirlos de cerca entre las sombras, eliminando discretamente a varios guardias sin ser detectado, esta misión requería paciencia, precisión y sigilo absoluto.
Everything was going smoothly—or so I thought—until things spiraled out of control. Just as Torres and Prins were about to carry out an important exchange, Prins noticed my presence. In an instant, he fled, ruining everything we had planned. James was furious, enraged that his targets had slipped through our fingers. And I don’t blame him—we had been close, so close.
Todo iba viento en popa, o al menos eso pensaba, hasta que la situación se salió de control. Justo cuando Torres y Prins iban a realizar un intercambio importante, Prins notó mi presencia. En un instante, escapó, arruinando todo lo que habíamos planificado. James entró en cólera, frustrado por haber dejado escapar a sus objetivos. Y no lo culpo,habíamos estado cerca,muy cerca.
Now I have to find another way to get to them. Because in this game, nothing ever goes exactly as planned—but there's always another way forward.
