Hey Fellow Gamers.
Today, I bring you one of the longest and most intense missions that I faced in Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. The mission was called Redlight Greenlight. We needed to break inside a Soviet secret army base and get information about a mission called Operation Greenlight from there.
It's a long mission with a lot of things going altogether and that's why I'll just mention the main point and I'd suggest you watch the gameplay. It's long but I believe you will like the action scenes and it's full of them.
Before starting the mission, we were briefed about the mission, the camp's location and its basic structure. Other than that information, we didn't know anything more about it and what was going on inside this huge facility.
We were dropped far from the camp so that our helicopter wouldn't get noticed by the enemies. After gearing up ourselves, me and woods continued the mission.
First of all, we inspected the whole place as much as possible and I took some shots of it with my camera to gather evidence. The camera was also useful for zooming in and spot the guards at the gate.
I used the sniper to take down the guards in the watch tower and at the gate one by one. Woods also took down some of them and I rushed inside the base cause I needed to hurry up and get inside the main building before they noticed the breach,
Inside the base, I was hiding behind covers and continued moving toward my target while killing the soldiers blocking my way one by one.
I was trying to pick the lock of the backdoor of the main building but the guards inside noticed it and almost killed me. Luckily, Woods arrived just at the right time kicked the gun out of his hand and saved me. We killed them and continued forward.
We faced many guards along the way and after killing all of them we finally reached a huge door and inside was a gaming room. Woods jumped into one of them to kill the person and just then he realised that it was a doll.
After seeing the full view of the place, we found out that they created a copy of USA cities and were training their soldiers so that if a full-scale war broke out, they could easily fight in this environment.
The soldiers arrived at the scene and we got upstairs to get in position. I started off by killing the officers so that they lose their commanding lead.
Man, there was a literal hell going on and I was actually getting tired of killing this many enemies. Luckily I was constantly picking up ammos from the dead soldiers. Otherwise, I'd be long out of ammo.
After passing through many more obstacles than the last one, we finally reached the control room and got access to the secret files. There I learned about a secret operation called "Operation Greenlight". And it seems like Hudson, one of our bosses, was leading that operation and trying to keep it a secret.
Our escape route was blocked by an enemy APC. I tried fighting it but it was no use and instead, I was killed by it. So, we decided to take cover and escape this open area.
After running for a while, we reached this place. It was full of soldiers but there was an APC there too. I was killing the soldiers but one soldier was shooting from the top of the APC and another armoured soldier with an RPD was causing me the most trouble. So, I killed them first and after we killed most of the soldiers, I got inside the APC and took over the machine gun and Woods started driving it.
We smashed the heavy door and broke out of the place. Now, it's time to escape.
But, escape was not easy at all. As soon as we came out, we were against hundreds of enemies and 3 APCs. I took down the soldiers with RPG first and then focused on the APC. These APCs are almost indestructible. So, I decided to take down the drivers and the machine gun users.
The last one was blocking my route so I decided to blast it.
There was actual hell going on and you can guess it by the sample images below. To enjoy all of it in real, check out the last part of the gameplay. Luckily we were able to escape this hellhole.
After our escape scene, there started a cinematic scene where Hudson was calling to someone and just then Woods, Mason and Adler appeared there in a car. And just as they got out, Woods rushed to Hudson, broke his nose and asked him about keeping the mission secret and putting his and my life in danger. And there was a long conversation about it. And the mission ended there.
That was my explanation about the mission. I tried to keep it short but just mentioning the main event made it this hard. I'd appreciate you watching the gameplay and I'm sure you will like it if you're into action games. I've uploaded it on YouTube and will share it below from there.
