Hello everyone! Today I want to share my experience after the first ten hours of playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the ambitious new title from Warhorse Studios.
The second installment of Kingdom Come Deliverance, has been officially released this February 4 for PC and consoles. I don't usually buy games at launch price, but I've been excited for more than three years since I played the first title in the franchise.

La segunda entrega de Kingdom Come Deliverance, se ha lanzado oficialmente este 4 de febrero para PC y consolas. No suelo comprar juegos a precio de salida, pero llevaba más tres años con el hype por las nubes desde que jugué al primer titulo de la franquicia.
Why have I become attached to this saga?
- I am passionate about the medieval era, and few games have explored the history of Bohemia in depth, beyond a campaign in Age of Empires II.
- The game was born thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014, and with just 2 million dollars, it managed to release a game that fulfilled almost all promises, being the first game from the studio.
- Its historical accuracy. Unlike games like Assassin's Creed, it doesn't take as many historical liberties when telling the story.
- Its representation of medieval combat, the most accurate I've seen in a video game. The movements, equipment, and weapon use are recreated with impressive detail.
¿Por qué me he encariñado con esta saga?
- Soy un apasionado de la época medieval, y pocos juegos han explorado en profundidad la historia de Bohemia, más alla de la campaña del Age of Empires II.
- El juego nació gracias a una exitosa campaña de Kickstarter en 2014 y con tan sólo 2 millones de dólares, logro sacar un juego que cumplia con casi todas las promesas.
- Su precisión histórica. A diferencia de juegos como Assasin´s Creed, no se toman tantas licencias historicas al momento de contar la historia.
- Su representación del combate medieval, la más acertada que he visto en un videojuego. Los movimientos, las equipaciones y el uso de armas están recreados con un nivel de detalle impresionante.
Introduction
The game begins with a brief historical context. We find ourselves at the beginning of the 15th century, in the middle of a civil war in the Kingdom of Bohemia. The conflict pits King Wenceslas IV, the legitimate monarch, against his half-brother Sigismund of Hungary, the pretender to the throne. After this introduction, the story places us in the year 1403, in the middle of the siege. We are part of the forces loyal to King Wenceslas, defending the castle against the invading forces of Sigismund.Introducción
El videojuego comienza con un breve contexto historico. Nos encontramos a comienzos del siglo XV, en medio de una guerra civil en el Reino de Bohemia. El conflicto enfrenta al rey Wenceslao IV, legimitimo monarca contra su medio-hermano Segismundo de Hungria, que es el pretendiente al trono. Tras esta introducción, la historia nos sitúa en el año 1403, en pleno asedio. Formamos parte de las fuerzas leales al rey Wenceslao, defendiendo el castillo contra las fuerzas invasoras de Segismundo.
At first glance, we can see something quite interesting. Yes, they are gunpowder weapons, in fact they are the first models that have existed, they are quite rudimentary, slow to reload, not very accurate and quite dangerous to use them, they could explode when shooting. They have also added something that in previous installments had not been part of the game, the crossbows.
A simple vista, podemos ver algo bastante interesante. After fighting the battle in the castle, we travel back in time, to the moment before it all began. We are Henry of Skalice, the son of a blacksmith, determined to avenge the death of his parents. Now, as part of the escort of the noble Sir Hans Capon, we embark on a journey to deliver a letter in search of new allies in the civil war raging in Bohemia.
Después de librar la batalla en el castillo, viajamos al pasado, al momento previo a que todo comenzara. Somos Henry de Skalice, el hijo de un herrero, decidido a vengar la muerte de sus padres. Ahora, como parte de la escolta del noble Sir Hans Capon, emprendemos un viaje para entregar una carta en busca de nuevos aliados en la guerra civil que asola Bohemia.
Impressive graphics
The graphic level of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, is of new generation. Although it can not be seen in the video due to the quality in which I exported it. The graphic quality of the environment is impressive: the lush forests, roads, towns and cities are recreated with such a level of detail that make the experience even more immersive.
Compared to the first installment, it is evident that they have achieved an impressive graphical improvement. But not only that, they have also created a map twice as big, with colossal cities like Kutna Hora, which is simply a work of art.
Graficos impresionantes
El nivel gráfico de Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, es de nueva generación. Por más que no se pueda apreciar en el video debido a la calidad en la que lo exporté. La calidad gráfica del entorno es impresionante: los frondosos bosques, los caminos, los pueblos y las ciudades están recreados con tal nivel de detalle que hacen que la experiencia sea aún más inmersiva.
En comparación con la primera entrega, es evidente que han logrado una mejora gráfica impresionante. Pero no solo eso, también han creado un mapa dos veces más grande, con ciudades colosales como Kutna Hora, que es simplemente una obra de arte.
Their combat
In terms of combat, the game is vastly improved over its predecessor. The game maintains a sense of realism in which we are not invincible. Facing a group of enemies while alone is an almost suicidal mission, and, with luck, we will be able to handle a couple of them at a time. However, it has been made as accessible as possible for new players without losing its difficulty. Melee combat has been perfected, making attacks, blocking and counterattacks much more natural.Su combate
En cuanto al combate, el juego ha mejorado muchísimo respecto a su predecesor. El juego mantiene una sensación de realismo en la que no somos invencibles. Enfrentarse a un grupo de enemigos estando solo es una misión casi suicida, y, con suerte, podremos manejar un par de ellos a la vez. Sin embargo, se ha hecho lo más accesible posible para los nuevos jugadores sin perder su dificultad. El combate cuerpo a cuerpo, se ha perfeccionado, haciendo que los ataques, bloqueo y contraataques sean mucho más naturales.
At the beginning of the game, defeating an enemy in a duel can be quite difficult. For that, the game introduces a progression mechanic that rewards practice, the more you fight melee with a sword, the better your technique with it. So you will be able to strike harder and faster.
Al principio del juego, vencer a un enemigo en un duelo puede ser bastante dificil. Para eso, el juego introduce una mecánica de progresión que recompensa la practica, cuanto más pelees cuerpo a cuerpo con una espada, mejoraras tu tecnica con ella. Herbs and Alchemy
Like its predecessor, the game features a system of collecting herbs in the environment. Herbs that we can then use to create different potions or drinks, in the video game's complex alchemy system. It requires following the step by step of each recipe, mastering the cooking time, grinding herbs and controlling the temperature. Each ingredient must be prepared in a specific way to create potions, poisons or ointments.Hierbas y Alquimia
Al igual que su predecesor, el juego cuenta con un sistema de recolección hierbas en el entorno. Hierbas que luego podemos utilizar para crear diferentes pociones o bebidas, en el complejo sistema de alquimia del videojuego. Requiere seguir el paso a paso de cada receta, dominar el tiempo de cocción, moler hierbas y controlar la temperatura. Cada ingrediente debe ser preparado de manera específica para crear pociones, venenos o ungüentos.
Smithing
One of the new systems that have been implemented to the game, is the possibility of being able to forge our own weapons and shields. This system of blacksmithing, is one of the most complex I've seen in video games. Throughout the process, we go through various steps such as heating the weapon, molding the weapon and tempering the weapon at the end.Herreria
Uno de los sistemas nuevos que han implementado al juego, es la posibilidad de poder forjar nuestras propias armas y escudos. Este sistema de herreria, es el más complejo que he visto en cualquier videojuego. This type of system adds much more immersion to the game, allowing us to earn money in different ways.

Conclusion
So far, after ten hours of gameplay, I have experienced only a fraction of what Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has to offer. What has impressed me the most is the graphical improvement and its realism, taking very few historical licenses, trying to be as faithful as possible. I want to highlight the secondary missions that are quite entertaining and interesting. The missions are not the typical ones of going from “Point A” to “Point B” and back. They are very well developed, both in terms of storyline and gameplay. I recommend this game to anyone who has an interest in medieval times and have enough patience to learn its mechanics, as it is a game that you have to get the hang of little by little. When I finish its story, I will do a much more complete review determining if it really deserves to be this year's GOTY, highlighting even more playable aspects. From what I've seen so far, it has met all my expectations and more than lived up to them.Conclusión
Hasta el momento, después de diez horas de juego, he experimentado solo una fracción de lo que Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 ofrece. Lo que más me ha impresionado es la mejora gráfica y su realismo, tomándose muy pocas licencias históricas, intentando ser lo más fidedigno posible. Quiero destacar las misiones secundarias que son bastante entretenidas y interesantes. Las misiones no son las típicas de ir de un "Punto A" a un "Punto B" y volver. Están muy bien desarrolladas, tanto en el aspecto argumental como en la jugabilidad. Recomiendo este videojuego a cualquier persona que tenga interés sobre la época medieval y tengan la paciencia suficiente para aprender sus mecanicas, ya que es un juego al que hay que ir agarrandole la mano poco a poco. Cuando termine su historia, haré una reseña mucho más completa determinando si realmente merece ser el GOTY de este año, destacando aún más aspectos jugables. Por lo que he visto hasta el momento, ha cumplido con todas mis expectativas y con creces.

I heard a lot about this title, man. I watched a spoiler-free review a few days ago and they praised it a lot despite being a bit challenging at first trying to learn all the mechanics.
I love how it kinda forces you to learn the melee attacks and makes you practice a lot to get the hang of it. It could be punishing at first but that progression should feel quite good after all the practice.
It looks amazing too!
It is an impressive game. I've been hype for a long time, even more so when it was announced a year ago. I never buy a game out of the box because $70 is a good number for me.
The combat is very well done, at the beginning you get beaten up and as you develop your skills your attacks become faster and harder.
Wow this is one bloody ancient game. I'll go search it on epic game store. The graphics and war zone is top notch

The graphics sure are impressive. I really liked the parry thing maintaining the realism as a battle style is such a good touch to the game I didn't see in other titles. Also the reforging thing is like "Wow I can make my own sword?"
