Retro games probably never go out of style, no matter how many years and years they have, when you achieve a status like this Metal Gear people tend not to forget you, the world does not forget you and you always become part of something.

That's true, retro games will never go out of fashion, there will always be a way for them to come back and have a second life. Look at the new Monkey Island remake that came out a few days ago. They gave a new face to one of the most classic games of a whole generation, and from the few reviews I've read, many people are praising it. Retro never dies.
