A great, raw war game, one of the best I've tried
Hello Hive friends, I know I have been a bit inactive, I have not been able to post due to personal problems, but today I come with a lot of encouragement and tell you a bit about my experience playing Medal of honor: Assault on the Pacific. I have to admit that I played this game years ago and I have not had the opportunity to play another one like this, I feel that most games now do not have an amazing story to grab me in such a way as Medal of honor did.
Well, this game is set in World War II, between the United States and Japan. And it is the only game that I dared to play off this extensive saga of Medal of honor and I really liked the realism as such playing, because as soon as we start we incarnate in the skin of a soldier in full battle arriving at a beach, which seemed to be a little difficult to adapt I did not see or where I was shot, once in the sand a grenade hits us and we begin to remember all the past, his training and we see how a rookie becomes an experienced marine is how the game begins at the end of the story to the beginning and we understand everything little by little how we got to this point, I found very good narrative, start the game is amazing.
Once playing, I really liked the cinematics and narration, they are very well done, besides the graphics were very good although it was a little rough at times in the jungle, the weapons were very realistic as well as the cars, ships, and planes (you can't ask much for a game of those years).
The animations and physics, like for example when you were wounded and fell to the ground you started to cloud everything, you heard the voices far away I thought that touch was very very very real. One of the things I liked about the game although it bothered me is that sometimes a Japanese came and finished me off on the ground and that I hated it XD, but seriously I found it very realistic to see how you agonized and besides having to call the doctor to heal you (you can also heal your wounds yourself) and be able to return to the battle and it is another very good point too. Although if he didn't listen to you it wouldn't be so funny anymore, and also I found doctor Jimmy to be a very funny character.
You have a few missions that will keep you playing for a long time, plus the game has difficulty levels and if you try to pass it on hard or realistic, you will end up with a big headache and a lot more time playing, but with a totally different experience, the game has a lot of action always, with the objective of disarming the enemy in the jungle and even on beaches, I could also notice that the Japanese have an artificial intelligence too good or too exaggerated for my taste, I only had my head out and they were already shooting at me from a pretty far distance, the Japanese are quite scary.
A very noticeable point is also that in the battles, most of the time they were in the jungle, and I found it a bit boring and repetitive. I think they could have mixed in a lot more battles on the beaches, but I think it was all very obvious, we landed on the beach and the mission was to take back the jungle. Maybe that's why there weren't so many beach wars.
As for the playability it was a little difficult for me to adapt since it was the first game I played of this saga, but once you start playing you adapt quickly and they give you a kind of tutorials at the beginning when you are a novice so you adapt quickly and learn to use the keyboard, (although the idea is to play it with the controller) and once you have the knack, either give orders, advance, fire, regroup, etc... Once you start using it, you do not leave it or at least I got used to it and I really liked to use it, it is a game with which I spent hours playing, doing missions and learning a little about the story and thanks to this game I think that:
War does not lead to anything good and is not the best method to solve problems, the best solution is to talk how civilized people.
As for the sound effects and effects of the game I thought they were up to par for a shooter game, it has very good physics and as for the voices of the characters are also very well crafted, and when they narrate the experiences in the battles in that perfect English, I think it was the best thing they could have done because to my personal taste I like to read subtitles and listen to everything originally either in English or in the native language to have a mispronounced Spanish so to speak, in short, I loved it and gave a realistic touch that I needed so much.
The truth is the more you play the more you get to know these characters that accompany you in battle and you get to take a little bit of affection for them.
Final Toughts
To conclude, it is a one-of-a-kind game. Since like this I have not played any other and it is a game that I recommend despite some negative things, the story it has is great, a whole jewel, will not be the best graphics, we do not have the best gameplay, but still, the essence of this game is what most draws attention, I think the way they tell you and the story and make you feel in the terrifying skin of a US Marine in the second world war. Un gran y crudo juego de guerra, uno de los mejores que he probado
Hola amigos de Hive, sé que he estado un poco inactiva, no he podido postear por problemas personales, pero hoy vengo con mucho ánimo y contarles un poco sobre mi experiencia jugando Medalla de honor: Asalto al Pacífico. tengo que admitir que juegue este juego ya hace años atrás y que no he tenido la oportunidad de jugar otro así, siento que la mayoría de juegos ahora no tienen una historia increíble como para qué me atrape de tal forma como lo hizo Medal of honor.
Pues bien, este juego está ambientado en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, entre Estados Unidos y Japón. Y es el único juego que me animé a jugar de esta extensa saga de Medal of honor y Me gustó mucho el realismo como tal jugando, pues apenas comenzamos encarnamos en la piel de un soldado en plena batalla llegando a una playa, que me pareció un poco difícil adaptarme no veía ni de dónde me disparaban, una vez en la arena nos alcanza una granada y comenzamos a recordar todo el pasado, su entrenamiento y vemos como un novato se convierte en marine experimentado es así como comienza el juego en el final de la historia hasta el comienzo y vamos comprendiendo todo poco a poco como fue que llegamos hasta este punto, me pareció muy buena la narrativa, empezar así el juego es increíble.
Una vez jugando, me gustaron mucho las cinemáticas y la narración, están muy bien hechas, aparte que el apartado gráfico estaba muy bien aunque era un poco tosco a veces en la jungla, pero las armas se me hacían muy realista igual que los carros, barcos y aviones (no se puede pedir mucho para un juego de esos años).
Las animaciones y físicas, como por ejemplo cuando estabas herido y caías al suelo se te empezaba a nublar todo, escuchabas las voces muy lejos me pareció que ese toque fue muy muy real. Una de las cosas que me gustaba del juego aunque me molestaba es que a veces llegaba un japonés y me remataba en el suelo y eso sí que lo odiaba XD, pero en serio me pareció muy realista ver como agonizabas y aparte tener que llamar al doctor para qué te curé (también puedes curarte tu mismo las heridas) y poder volver a la batalla y es otro punto muy bueno también. Aunque si este no te escuchaba ya no sería tan gracioso, y además que el doctor Jimmy me pareció un personaje muy cómico.
Tienes unas cuantas misiones que te mantendrán jugando por un largo rato, además que el juego tienes niveles de dificultades y si tratas de pasártelo en difícil o en realista, terminarás con un gran dolor de cabeza y mucho más tiempo jugando, pero con una experiencia totalmente diferente, el juego tiene mucha acción siempre, con el objetivo de desarmar al enemigo en la selva e incluso en playas, también pude notar que los japoneses tienen una inteligencia artificial demasiado buena o muy exagerada para mi gusto, solo asomaba la cabeza y ya los tenía disparándome desde una distancia bastante lejana, los japoneses dan bastante miedo.
Un punto muy notorio también es que en las batallas, la gran parte del tiempo eran en la selva y se me hizo un poco aburrido y repetitivo. Creo que pudieron haber mezclado mucho más batallas en las playas, pero creo que todo era muy obvio, desembarcábamos en la playa y la misión era recuperar la selva. Tal vez por eso no hubo tantas guerras en la playa.
En cuanto a la jugabilidad se me hizo un poco difícil adaptarme, ya que era el primer juego que jugaba de esta saga, pero ya una vez que empiezas a jugar te adaptas rápido y te dan una especie de tutoriales al principio cuando eres un novato así que te adaptas rápido y aprendes el uso del teclado, (aunque lo ideal es jugarlo con el mando) y una vez que le tienes la maña, ya sea dar órdenes, avanzar, fuego, reagruparse, etc. Allí ya no hay vuelta atrás. una vez que empiezas a usarlo, no lo dejas o por lo menos yo si me acostumbré y me gustaba mucho utilizarlo, es un juego con el que pase horas jugando, realizando misiones y aprendiendo un poco sobre la historia y gracias a este juego pienso que:
La guerra no lleva a nada bueno y no es el mejor método para solucionar los problemas, la mejor solución es hablando cómo personas civilizadas.
En cuanto a los efectos de sonidos y efectos del juego me pareció que estaban a la altura para un juego de disparos, tiene unas físicas muy buenas y en cuanto a las voces de los personajes también están muy bien elaboradas, y cuando narran las vivencias en las batallas en ese perfecto inglés, me parece que fue lo mejor que pudo haber hecho ya que a mi gusto personal me gusta leer subtítulos y escuchar todo originalmente ya sea en inglés o en el idioma nativo a tener un español mal pronunciado por así decirlo, en fin me encantó y le dio un toque realista que tanto necesitaba.
La verdad mientras más juegas más conoces a estos personajes que te acompañan en la batalla y le llegas a tomar un poco de cariño.
Pequeña conclusión
Para finalizar, es un juego único en su clase. Ya que como este no he jugado ningún otro y es un juego que recomiendo a pesar de algunas cosas negativas, la historia que tiene es buenísima, toda una joya, no serán los mejores gráficos, no contamos con la mejor jugabilidad, pero aun así la esencia de este juego es lo que más llama la atención, creo que la manera en como te narran y la historia y te hacen sentir en la terrorífica piel de un Marine estadounidense en la segunda guerra mundial. Gran juego, soy amante de Medal of Honor, practicamente fue uno de los primeros juegos que jugué en PS2 y le tengo mucho cariño, lástima que aún no me he dignado a probar sus nuevas versiones a ver si aún mantienen esa magia, saludos Pao, sé mas activa!
