Good day people, my name are Abdulwaliyi Omeiza from Nigeria. I was introduced to this platform by Henry000, he is a great guy, if you are able to, please check out his content. I'm 27-years-old, pushing 28 and I am a pharmacist (yes gaming is not my life) and I will be sharing my gaming experience with fellow gamers and interested parties. I will like to express what great joy it gives me to be among you all.
Over the years I have picked up lots of games; pro evolution soccer, FIFA, call of duty, hitman to mention but a few but I am not here to talk about those, I will be talking about the number one most popular game in the world today League of Legends. Since I am hoping everyone gets to read this, I will be explaining what the game is all about.
League of Legends (LOL) is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) video game. It is basically a game in which two teams are paired against each other in a map to fight, contest for objectives and to kill one another’s objectives, yes you guessed it right, the loser is the one without objectives to defend at the end of the game.
League of legends have over 150 different champions spread across five roles; Toplane, Midlane, Jungle, Botlane (or the ADC lane) and the Support role. Depending on the style of play that suits each player more, one get to decide which role or champions to play. The different champions are spread across seven categories; controllers (Enchanters and Catchers), Fighters (Juggernauts and divers), Slayers (Assassins and Skirmishers), Mages (Burst mages, Battle mages and Artillery mages), Marksman, Tanks (Wardens and Vanguards) and Specialists. I will create a write up to explain each of these categories in the future.
League of legends have 9 ranks; iron, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, masters, grandmasters and challengers. The iron rank is the lowest rank in league of legends and the challenger is the highest rank. The goal of every LOL player is to climb to challengers. Each of this ranks except challengers have 4 sub-ranks, making it a total of 32 ladders to climb. I know everyone is curious to know which rank I am…I won’t hide it, I am currently an iron 2 ranked player, in the last two seasons I have finished in bronze rank. I can’t seem to climb. In the LOL community, I am what you will refer to as a hard stuck player.
Many people that play LOL today complains about how it is not fun, stressful, toxic and addictive and wished they never started playing the game. I personally have a lot of fun playing the game. It has its tilting moments but it is by far one of the most challenging games I have ever had to play. The fact that it involve teaming up with random people to achieve the same objective is what makes the game fun for me. If everyone plays their roles right, the win is surely yours but if even one person doesn’t play right and no one tried to help cover their weaknesses then surely, you take the L.
I know many of you that will go through this write up will have many questions, just leave them in the comments for me and I will reply to it all ASAP. And of course, I will welcome any suggestions and criticism but please go easy on me guys.
