RISK OF RAIN 2
Not gonna lie this is one of the best game in my Steam library. Granted I don't have that much games in it but still the price of Risk of Rain 2 is totally worth it. I really want to show you some gameplay and a Lets play of me playing it but my laptop can't handle playing and recording at the same time. Maybe next time if I got a descent rig I can show you how fun it is to play and maybe stream some of it if I got some fans out there. You will just need to settle on me writing my blog and talking on how amazing it really is.
Survivor
When you start playing the game your first character that you will be using is the Commando. As the name suggest he uses a gun. His main attacking method is shooting his 2 guns. In Risk of Rain 2 your survivors i.e. the Commando can have different abilities and you can get this abilities by doing the indented challenges for it. Like when you land the killing blow on an Overloading Worm as the Commando you will get his Phase Blast a some sort of shotgun that deals a lot of damage when it hits. If you want to check the different challenges in game to unlock survivors, items, and abilities for your survivor you can click this.
Difficulty
There are 3 difficulties in the game Drizzle, Rainstorm, and Monsoon. If you want to start the game you'll probably want to play first in Drizzle to get the feel of playing the game like shooting enemies and fighting bosses. You can also play Drizzle if you want to do the challenges to un lock certain stuff. For example, In order to get REX you need repair the broken robot with an Escape Pod's Fuel Array. Sounds easy enough right? No! The catch is when your health falls below 50 percent, the fuel will self destruct and killing your run. This is hard to do in Monsoon difficulty that is why you probably want to play in Drizzle. My choice of difficulty is; when I want to chill and mess around I play on Rainstorm to have some challenge but if I am warmed enough and want to be the best I try Monsoon difficulty to test my skill and improve.
Items and Equipments
There are so many items in this game and every items has its own description, story, and uses. For example, the Goat's Hoof it increases your movement speed, while the Energy Drink increases the speed of your sprint. The fun part is all of this items are stackable. Meaning, if you got 10 goats hoof you will be zooming around the map. You can get these items in chest scattered across the map. There are all sort of chest in the map like the normal chest, big chest, combat chest, multi-shop etc. You can see the photo above that there are different rarity in items White (Common)Green (Uncommon)Red (Legendary)Yellow (Boss / Planet)Blue (Lunar Items / Equipment)Orange (Equipment). The most fun items are the legendary because it will make you overpowered and feel like a god. An example of the best legendary item is the '57 Leaf Clover',
this item will make you lucky like your items will 'proc' or activate more if you have this legendary item.
Bosses and Monsters
There is a wide array of enemies you can fight and sometimes they will get abilities like they are fused with fire making their attacks burn and path also burn, there is also an ability that camouflaged the enemies even their attack is invincible making them hard to fight. These monsters have their own unique attacks and abilities, especially the bosses. You will encounter the boss when you interact with the portal to get to the next level and defeating the boss will drop item/s that will make you better.
Gameplay
I'll be showing a gameplay of mine. In this gameplay I beat the final boss in Rainstorm difficulty. Sorry for the bad quality, I can play it fine but when it is recording my laptop can't handle it. There is also no commentary, maybe next time I post you can hear my voice and my recording is better. Playing Risk of Rain 2 is so fun that you wouldn't notice the time. You can also play this in multiplayer. Sadly for me, none of my friends have this game. I often play this game while listening to a podcast in that way I'll never be lonely and have a background music.
