Steam showed me the free game 'Muck' a few days ago and it looked kinda fun! So here we are, trying out Muck.
Steam says: "Muck is a survival-roguelike. Collect resources, find items & build a base to survive for as long as you can."
Well, I do like a survival and building game! It kinda sounds like I might die a lot though... Anyways, with settings checked and adjusted, it's time to start. I guess we'll go for 'Host Lobby'.
Looks like I'm going to have to own that beard! Let's go for Game Mode 'Creative', that sounds a little less agressive than 'Survival'. Hopefully I'll die less and build more. And hey, why make things difficult for myself? I'll go for 'Easy'.
Here we go!
This is where the game dropped me. It's telling me to find a rock, so let's head over to that indicator, shall we? Although... I see some chests to my left...
Distracted!
Aaaah so many chests! If only I could open them, but I can press 'E' as much as I want, nothing's happening...
Fine, I'll listen! Let's grab that stupid rock!
Distracted again!
Turns out I can pick up wheat. Guess I'll need a key or something for chests? Anyways, I'm still on my way to that rock. Aaaaany second now...
Look, cows! I wonder if they can be my friends... although with that health bar up there, I'm afraid I might have to attack them.
Oh, turns out my food bar is already halfway down aswell.
Rock time!

Okay, time to check my inventory with Tab.
'It's a rock', yes, I noticed. Also, great that I can make dough with wheat. Teach me though, before I die of starvation!
Oh, right, putting the rock in my hotbar... sorry.
Time to slap a tree apparently!
That gave me wood to craft a workbench, but, even better, it dropped an apple!
Well... that didn't still my hunger much... hopefully this next tree will give me more apples.
Bah no apple, but I've got plenty of wood now. Oh yeah, let the crafting begin!
Hah, this bench lets me make dough, but I don't have enough weed yet... I think I won't survive this.
So, my hunger bar has been at zero for a while now and so far, I'm still alive... In the meanwhile, I'm gathering, have made an axe and I have also found this statue to Revive my homies.
I don't think I have any 'homies'...
I wish the cows would be my homies... Now if only I could find some bark for my next tool... Oh wait, I have to create it from wood. That's easy! Yay, pickaxe! Time to smash some rocks.
My food bar is still at zero and now, so is my stamina bar. I was able to run while holding Shift. No more. I'll have to figure out how to refill that stamina bar... Maybe an apple?
Yes! That did the trick!
While gathering, I'm discovering a couple of new materials and with them, new recipes. That's pretty cool. I can now create building components, other crafting stations and I think one of those will let me make a bow and arrow by now.
Now, what to do first? Build a home? Or make more crafting stations?
Decisions, decisions...
Okay, that's it for the first introduction. I'll play around some more and might give you a follow-up later! It's a fun game so far and the best part: It's free! So why not give it a go?

I installed this a week ago to try it. It just looked so stupid and I was intrigued by the rogue-like elements. I should try and get to it soon. Looks fun.
It is fun! Probably more fun to play with others, so you can do some battling aswell.
