Hello and welcome back to my blog!

It has been a long time since I hunted in Medved-Taiga National Park in theHunter: Call of the Wild and even more time since I last completed some missions here. There are a lot of active side missions, and I decided to take them on. I went for the easiest one first.
A photo quest
Crater on Camera was a simple mission where you had to go to a place and take a picture of the Permafrost Crater. The game gives you a lot of area to cover and doesn't pinpoint the location exactly, so it makes it a bit interesting. Along the way, I had a few unsuccessful encounters with Moose. They were too skittish today and ran away.
I was enjoying these beautiful views. One of the prettiest maps, and for every snow lover, this is so gorgeous. I wish they had a bit more variety of animals to hunt here. It felt a lot emptier compared to some of the other maps, and that's the reason I don't come here often, despite it being this beautiful.
Finding that crater didn't took long, it was much bigger than I was expecting it to be. Look at the size of this things. NO wonder the local authorities keep track of it.
I looked for any signs of movement there but couldn't spot anything. This was turning out to be a bit too quiet. It wasn't that quiet while I was wandering through the forest, you could hear the mating calls of Moose and sometimes Brown Bear's warning calls.
I found a railway track going right through the middle of this forest. The fresh snowfall almost covered those tracks.
A perfect heart shot
I was getting a bit impatient, but then I found some fresh signs of Bears, some footprints. These bears are not too confrontational and mostly choose to run away from danger.
After a few minutes of tracking those marks, I was close to them. The game tells you some clues like warning calls so you know the animals are close. Once I heard those calls, I became much more silent so to not make any noise. That's how I reached close to one of them who was resting. You can see from the following shot that how close I got this time.
A no-scope shot right into the chest that pierced the heart and left lung, killing that bear instantly. There was another one close, and I saw it running away just after it heard the gunshot.
A big male with enough points to get a Gold trophy. This completed another active side mission where I had to shoot down a brown bear with a trophy rating of 22 or higher and get a quick kill bonus of 25 or higher. This was an instant kill, so the quick kill wasn't an issue, and it had a 25 trophy rating as well. To be honest, I forgot about this mission, it was an old one, but I thought it was too difficult to even pursue for now and look at this, without trying, I got it lol.
Harvesting 2 reindeer
The next mission that caught my attention was harvesting two reindeer. I was seeing some signs of them, so I spent some more time looking for them. Soon, I heard some mating calls and found a fairly large group of them. The males had heightened senses and detected me quickly. They seemed to get away from me.
Those females followed them too, but they were not fast enough. I took out the slowest one.
It died quickly, too. Now, it was time to lie down and wait for them to come back. It was their eating zone, so the chances were that they would come back once they felt the danger was gone. Their AI is kinda predictable in this sense. It took them about 5 minutes to come back to the same spot. But they were a lot attentive.
For the mission, I just had to kill and harvest them without any other conditions, so even though the angle wasn't good and I could barely see it behind the trees, I went for the shot. My bullet missed the vital organ, but it was still powerful enough to take it down.
Both of those harvest were small females but they helped me get the third side mission in a row. It turned out to be much better than I was expecting.
I will focus on the main story missions next. As far as I remember, there was an Anthrax outbreak which needed to be contained. Let's see how it will go in the future. For today, it was a nice session. I should play more in this beautiful white heaven.

All the photos you shared are very nice but the photo of the railway track is outstanding. I am going to use that photo as my desktop wallpaper😍
I just have this game on my to-play list. Several people recommended it to me and told me it's the perfect game to play while listening to a podcast. xd
It reminds me a bit of Far Cry.
Cheers, my friend.
