It was banned in Turkey probably for the same reason it was banned in so many other countries, including India. Kids were going crazy after this game, some met with accident, some just walked right off the edge of cliffs etc. It got bad rep, I think. I never played it though. Walking through Indian streets and roads while holding a phone is a terrible idea for sure...lol

True, such things have happened. It's sad that the aim of the game is to encourage people to walk, but this is what happens. I don't know how many people are playing this game now, but it's definitely not as popular as it used to be.
