NFTs are still going hard right now, even in a bear market. Its like everyone has a sense that NFT-gaming is the next big thing. We're all pretty sure NFT jpegs are over, but other uses for NFTs still have big energy! And gaming is on the top of the heap right now.
So many groups of people go hard on the NFTs, and they'll get a game built later, some other time, surely we are all sure about that. And sure, game building takes time, why don't you just buy a bunch of NFTs and see if there is a game in a month or a year?
Okay yeah sure Star Atlas, let me pay you today for a hamburgerplayable game in 5-8 years.
But what if it could be different? What if we could skip that part and go right to the gameplay? Why couldn't somebody build a game using all the NFTs that were already out there? Sure its 'fun' to sell NFTs to supportive gamers waiters, but wouldn't it be even more fun to use those tokens in a GAME?? Any game - even a minigame!
So a group of us got together and decided to form what we are calling Psyber Sects, a pocket universe where gamers can get together and tactically experiment with NFTs they already own and collect...
We even already have a logo! (and a login)
Game development does take time, but our studio knows that if you skip the shilling, the selling, the art design, the discord moderation, the community management, and just dive straight into something resembling gameplay, you get there faster. And we are already half way down this road we have embarked on almost by accident!
We have been bashing about on a backend all week now, and we reached out to JBoss at @psyberx about letting us into his backend where we could get a good look into the NFT's they are distributing through their airdrop program, so that we can pull in a starter inventory into our interface. And he agreed! So over the next couple days we will be testing to see if we can pull some of this ready-made stuff in to experiment with.
And in the future we could use any NFTs from HIVE, Punks, Splinterlands, dCtiy or dCrops - and even NFTs from other blockchains!
There is a lot of potential here. We could do anything - With any NFTs - and we have a lot of ideas. Time, and this blog, will tell what sort of mischief we get up to.

The concept and timing for 'Star Atlas' reminds me too much of 'Star Citizen', Pay now for an eventual game. Yes, Star Citizen is now playable and has weekly events but how long did it take? I am hoping Star Atlas doesn't prove to be the same.
Your project sounds interesting! To allow participants to interact with their NFT, Sounds like it's going to be ambitious but a cause worth fighting for! The Art NFTs have given the term 'NFT' a bit of a bad rap so I hope your project is successful in showing the masses what the true purpose of owning an NFT is about.

Regarding Psyber-X, I see a lot of NFTs and tokens sold but no game. I've seen that sort of thing before, and never seen it turn out well. Caveat emptor. Not only is people's money at stake, but also the reputations of those who promote schemes like this.
psyber sects is independent of psyberx, although we may use some of their nfts in what we are planning (and we couldnt resist the spoof name), we plan to use other nft games tokens as well

I see a lot of NFT sales, and almost nothing of a game. Screenshots of an environment 3D model from an editor are far from a game.

Nice that you call it a scheme without joining the discord or attempting to do any due dilligence, this mini game is for the investors and gamers and I see them selling nothing here. Is there anything this game can do to not bring out your negativity?
I was in the PsyberX discord channel early on but I must have left when I consolidated which discords I was in.
I don't see a game, or anything resembling one yet, but I see a lot of NFT sales. Seems like an upside down scheme to me, likely to result in fraud if it hasn't crossed that line already.

Not sure where any proof of the negative comments come from is all without some reason. The NFT sales are not that huge for such a game, many on Hive say there is no possible way to accomplish this it without raising millions and a huge team with years and others say get lost, you don't have a game yet? I am convinced that it is a very risky investment. Ask anyone that knows me, I say come win some tokens and NFTs not buy them too often, have plenty of psyberx posts with this in them. Agreed the risk is great yet I am gambling on the reward and onboarding to Hive all the while.
I hope for the best too, but what I'm seeing is not looking good. I'll be happy if I'm proven wrong.

Not at all competitors we have no game launched and have only helped where possible and still standing by for a collaboration. I am merely concerned of his involvement in negatively bashing psyberx and wanted to know if he is a large holder or not. Curious of his intentions. I don't think I have access to your private stuff yet feel free to limit me, I only have helped and interesting in furthering the value you bring to Hive blockchain and provide the psyberx fans a place to play a shooter game.
I've been pondering this idea lately. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
If you can make it so I can sell my dcrops inside the psyberverse in a couple years I'd be thrilled.
