Vigor is a free-to-play game. That means I can keep on pouring hours in to this game without ever having to spend a single dollar. I'm not the kind of person to buy skins and such which makes playing free-to-play games very cheap for me. I do however like supporting the games and developers that I like so I decided to put some money into Vigor even when I didn't have to.
Starter pack contents
The starter packs in these kinds of games usually contains the same kind of things. A few skins to make you not look like the starting guy anymore. Some premium currency that you can spend on more skins if you so want, and a few guns to get you started in the game. None of which are necessary to play the game. Skins don't give an advantage, premium currency only lets you buy cosmetics and guns are so abundant it's barely like a drop in the ocean.
It has to be said that the skins doesn't really look very good. They're mostly rain coats and leather jackets and doesn't really make your character stand out that much. Still, it's nice to look at least a little different that the beginner raincoat that everyone else is running around in.
The premium currency is just short of letting you buy the premium battle pass. It's a little disappointing that they just don't give you the flat 690 you need to get it. Luckily they're quite generous with premium currency in this game and they even let you collect some daily so getting enough to buy the premium battle pass isn't much of a problem.
I did get the premium battle pass even if it's halfway through the season already. I probably won't be able to finish it but I don't know what else I would spend the premium currency on. At least it will get me a few more skins and cosmetics to play around with.
I'm still enjoying my time in Vigor and I think it's well worth to spend $10 on to support the developers. I hope more people think like that when it comes to games like these. Free games can't support themselves without us gamers spending at least a little something.

This is the only time I believe that MTX are acceptable! A f2p game with MTX is fine as long as it's not a P2W system! Nothing wrong with supporting the devs!
I have uncovered some shady business with their monetization model which would probably have made me reconsider this purchase. They seem to be quire predatory at a second glance.
How so? If you don't mind explaining.
The world of Vigor looks good, I just watched part of a gameplay on YouTube after reading this post. I love how you support games you enjoy, even when you don't have to.
