I Finished The Radiant Echoes Event In World of Warcraft

in Hive Gaming4 months ago

With barely a week left of the event I was finally able to finish it and collect everything I wanted from it during the weekend. I collected all the different transmog sets, mounts and pets that you can buy with the event currency. Let's have a look at all the new things added to my collection.

The transmog

All of the gear that drops from this event is brand new and limited to only this event. At least for now. They could always add it back into the game at a later time. I thrive at collecting limited time pieces like this so for me it's been an absolute blast, even if the event itself has been rather repetitive. Luckily, it hasn't taken me more than 20-30 minutes of daily playing to collect them.

The leather variant of this unique set can be seen in the image above. There are different variants for cloth, mail and plate wearers as well but they look quite similar so I won't be showing off each set. They are all quite familiar. I'm really happy that I've been able to collect all of them with just one character thanks to the new warband feature. Before this was added to the game I would have had to collect each of these sets on four different characters.

The set up above is the main armor set from this event. There are some other exclusive sets that can be collected that are based entirely on chance. The main set can both randomly drop and be bought with the event currency which you're guaranteed to get enough of at some point. I can't be bothered grinding for hours on end for something I might not get in time. I'm an avid collector but I also respect my own time.

Mounts and pets

I was also able to collect two new mounts and three new pets from this event. All of these follow the same blue and gold translucent theme and are all reskins of mounts and pets that we've seen in the game before. Still, they're event exclusive so I had to get them.

They're all also based on old content which is quite fun. It's rare to see new variants and reskins of these old models these days so it fits the theme of Azeroths memories. There's an undead construct, a gnoll and an onyxian whelp.

There's two mounts but I'm only able to show off one of them due both of them being faction restricted. There's a gryphon for the Alliance and a wind rider for the Horde. As a life long Alliance player I'll be riding around on the gryphon but I did also get the unlock for the wind rider so if I end up playing Horde in the future I'll at least be able to use it.

The gryphon is one of my least favorite mount models in World of Warcraft due to it being so ordinary. There's a bit of nostalgia tied to it though seeing as the gryphon was the very first flying mount obtainable by Alliance players when they released flying mounts in the Burning Crusade expansion back in 2007. The recoloring of it does add a level of coolness to it though.

The new expansion releases in just about a week. I probably won't be doing much more than preparing my characters by cleaning out their inventories . My Death Knight is released from her Pandaria prison in just a few days so I'll probably be playing around on her a bit just to get a proper feel for the class before maining it in The War Within.

limited edition gear. wow.

Basically just something for people to do while waiting for something new to come around.

Luckily, it hasn't taken me more than 20-30 minutes of daily playing to collect them.

Sounds less time-consuming and more fun. Good luck with the new expansion releases.
