The new mounts keep racking up in World of Warcraft. The best thing is I'm not doing much to get these. Mounts have often been a thing to chase and work towards in World of Warcraft so I'm glad they've made at least some mounts easily accessible to the masses with this expansion. Rewarded for exploring
The Swarmite Skyhunter isn't one of those mounts though. If you target the mount you should be able to get it in no more than 10 minutes. All you need to do is to fly around and collect all the Skyriding Glyphs across all the zones in the game to unlock an achievement. I knew there was an achievement for this as I've noticed I've been getting progress towards it as I've been collecting these but I didn't know there was a mount tied to it as well. I've just been collecting them whenever I've been nearby and haven't been actively looking for them. I was quite surprised when I collected the last glyph only to see I had a new mount in my collection.
I knew this mount was in the game as I remember seeing a Reddit post about it. Most people were slamming it in there for being ugly and boring but I have to say that I quite like it. It's a well designed little spider that has nice animations both for flying and for groundrunning. The haters are probably just arachnophobic or something...
There are a few more mounts to be collected that use the same model. Some come from doing PvP, one comes from raiding and one comes from reputation gains with one of the major factions. It's unlikely I'll ever be getting the PvP versions as I never liked doing PvP, and I rarely commit to raiding as it can be quite time consuming. I'll definitely be getting the reputation mount at some point down the line, but I won't be farming for it. Reputation is gained passively by just playing so that's enough for me. No rush.

This mount looks great, I don't understand why people don't like it if it's great, it's like seeing Anub'arak but smaller and in a mount.
