Interesting to see you and I having much of the same experiences with out first video game consoles even though mine was a SNES 22 years ago. Gaming really is something special.
I remember working all of summer back in, I think, 2007 so that I could buy my own Xbox 360. I had so many friends in my class playing CoD:MW and Halo 3 together, and I really wanted Rising Dead as well. They didn't have it in stock in our town so we called the electronics shop in the town over and they actually went to the bus station to let it ride the bus to our town. I remember excitedly waiting at the bus station for it to arrive. Such a good memory.
just like the games, the consoles also generate good memories to remember with nostalgia now that we are old hahaha
I never got to play the SNES but I have seen videos about SNES games. I can imagine the excitement of waiting for your game to arrive from the next town, when one was waiting for a game even a single day was eternal.
