Each day of our lives, we experience new things even those we thought impossible. These type of things constantly reminds us that the world is in steady change and there's a need for us to change with it. I can confidently say that I have gotten education to a satisfactory point, and I have experienced farming firsthand. Beaten by sunlight all-day in what is considered mechanized farming where my energy is consumed at a very high rate, but never did I think that a day will come when a mobile phone and laptop could give the same output as that which consumes a lot of my energy. The introduction of dcrops play to earn farming games 2 years ago has totally changed the narrative. Although the output may not be as quick as that of mechanized farming, I consider it the case of a puppy and a calf in which the latter can take up to two years to arrive but is never in comparison with the former. Most times expectation is what matters irrespective of the time.
My Doorway to Dcrops Farm to Earn Game
My hive blockchain journey is headed to its second year at which the end of this year will successfully complete the two years journey. However, I have only had an interest in one hive game which is splinterlands right from the day of my hive account creation not until December 2022 when I revisited the hive game tab and had an interesting discovery called Dcrops. Not knowing what I was doing yet, I registered an account after which I got confused and had to immediately seek help from the discord server. I proceeded with my first beta pack purchase and got some common seeds which couldn't get me started. Just to be on the safe side, I took time off and focused on understanding the game. After a while, I made my first land card purchase.
First, I went for one fertile land and a pumpkin seed which I failed to harvest in time. The season was the first for me so I never really cared much about mistakes. I made those mistakes and learned from them. After some time, my understanding advanced and everything about the game started flowing in easily. I could now tell every symbol placed on the seed cards and land cards. In the second season, I barely sold up to 100 shares which was a call for me to do better. To increase my end-of-season reward, I doubled my fertile land and added one awesome land to them. I also went shopping and purchased many seed cards from different seasons and currently, the breakdown of my seed cards can be seen below.
The Current Season & what it brings
When I newly joined the dcrops farming game first event I witnessed was the Christmas event but I couldn't have joined it because I barely understood what was going on. This season came with a hybrid event (drops 2 years anniversary & Easter event) in which I'm actively participating although I'm yet to get something out of it.
Let's take a look at my current farm
This season I have made a total sale of 593 shares and expect an additional 300+ more which I intend to sell next season. My observation is that there have not been much of crop tokens to gain in this event period compared to the nonevent period. The leaderboard shows that Whales has made many sales resulting in the value of shares for this season being reduced to 0.3 crops per/share at the time of this post
This shows that the event period might not be that beneficial to new members unless a miracle comes their way and help them win big while participating in the event. That brings me to my second observation, the reward for the Easter event keeps going down which makes me wonder when enough golden tickets will come my way at least to help me snatch one of these rewards before they run totally down.
My Least Preferred Section of the Game
They said nothing good comes easy. This brings me to the section on quest completion in the game. To be honest, completing the quest has been a nightmare for me. The last time I tried focusing on it, I ended up wasting a lot of my crop trying to reroll Quest to my preference and still, I was unable to complete it. I guess I have stopped trying until it becomes easy to get there at ease.
As you can see, the season ends in 2 days and I haven't gone near completion of the quest so I believe why I referred to it as my least preferred.
On a general note, my experience so far has been promising and I see myself in a speedy development sooner than later. I also hope this event period doesn't leave me empty-handed, hey! if in any way this post failed to meet your expectation, just know that this is my first dcrops post. I believe the more I know the game, the better I can write about it.

You'd realize I didn't mention the price right? Every season has sharing value for the reward pool. By the time of the post yesterday, each share was worth 0.3crops. Maybe this is what you thought was the price. No hon, I wasn't talking about price at all rather the reward pool sharing rate for this season
Okay, there's nothing wrong with that. I just read about two years, I thought you were in the project for a long time. It became interesting what the price of the token was at the very beginning in relation to HIVE.
