I know this post is about a PS2, but looking at that old, enduring console of yours made me miss my PS1.
Anyway, some of my personal preferences you might like are...
GTA: San Andreas is a must. Add Bully if you like the trait of that game. Shadow of the Colossus and ICO for something 'deep'. I heard the former has a terrible remake on the PS4, so enjoying the PS2 version is better. And also Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock, but only if you're into rhythm game. 👍
The PS1 is the only PlayStation I've never owned! If I really get into game collecting I may try to go after a PS1 and some games for it too, I'd love to try some old classics :D
I do really like rhythm games! Admittedly I'm not good at them, but I still have fun with some Guitar Hero. I also got the SoTC/Ico bundle on PS3 but I would love to play those games on the original platform. Is the PS4 remake really that bad though? I've heard nothing but positive things about it 🤔
Last time I watched its gameplay video on YouTube the only thing that is improved in SotC is the graphic. HD graphic, but clunky old PS2 control, making it more like an HD remaster rather than an actual "remake" like, say FF7: Remake. .-.
That makes sense! When I played SotC I definitely had some control issues, but it's also the controls many are used to... it would have been nice to have updated controls and then be able to switch to the classic ones. The game is still a classic, however, and still a lot of fun!
