Hello again my friends.
Once again, I'm back from my long slumber. I liked to apologize for the long hiatus. 2023 was a rough time, 2024 was a self improvement journey, but 2025 will be magical. I just received my collector's edition for Alan Wake 2 and I've been waiting for this package since June 2024. So I'm super excited to share it with you guys.
Starting off with the box, you're already presented with nice visuals. The Tree illustration holds great significance when it comes to the story. So I won't spoil it here, but what I can say is that it's quite eerie and ominous oooOOOooh. When you open the box, the first thing you see is the lamp, a special item that you come across later in the game. Also there's a 2x micro usb cord to plug into the lamp.
You can also put batteries in the lamp for on the go haha 😆 but I find it quite fascinating that you can plug the cord to a power adapter and it literally becomes a lamp. I very much love the aesthetics of the lamp. When I look at it, it makes me feel safe. A personal helper that illuminates my way through the cold dark abyss.
Here's some concept art that came from the booklet. I've been collecting collector's edition for years and this is usually the part where i'm the most inspired to make art myself. The different artists and concepts that goes into making these video game always gets to me because it tells you how much dedication that goes into, well, making games. Depending on the right team and management, the final product can turn out quite beautiful, and that's Remedy. The best studio out there in the gaming industry.
Welp, that's all folks. I think this is a great way to start off the year for making some cool content. I won't say what's in the plan, but just know that there will be more content coming in the future. I miss you guys so much. ❤️

Alan Wake 2 is such a great game. From the lore to the dark atmosphere. The collector's edition was worth it. 😊

I hear you. It's just that Sam Lake is super creative and inspirational. I grew up playing most of the games that he's worked on, like Max Payne 1 and 2. Remedy is one of the gaming studio that has stayed true to them selves over the years. That's why I respect him and the dev team so much.
