Hello Again My Fellow Gamers!
Welcome back. Got another hot topic that I'd like to talk to you guys about, and that's Fortnite's collab with Cowboy Bebop!!! I actually did not expect this, well, maybe I should have, because everyone is in Fortnite these days. But this one made my jaw fall off my face! 🤯 I can't believe that my boy, Spike Spiegel is in Fortnite. Cowboy Bebop is one of my most favorite anime shows of all time. I grew up watching the show and I remember staying up all night on Saturday watching it on Toonami back in the day. When I saw the trailer for the collab, I was pretty much in awe. It was an immediate purchase when I logged into Fortnite. I'd to showcase some of the cosmetics and items that the bundle comes with and also gameplay of me slaying players with Spike Spiegel. Let's goooo!
If you don't know the context of this backbling, good! Because it's a huge spoiler if you haven't watched the anime show. This is definitely a nice backbling for Spike Spiegel because it just makes sense. The backbling is also reactive, so if you're sprinting, sliding, or even shooting, rose petals falls off it. As for the weapon wrap, it's an animated texture from the opening sequence from the show. The Iconic Intro!
For his pickax, Spike comes with his loyal companion, the Swordfish II. When you swing his pickax, a beautiful galaxy contrail effect comes from it, as if the spaceship is flying in deep space in an elegant way. Unfortunately, he does not come with a glider for the Swordfish 2, which would of made more sense for Fortnite to give him that. Either way, the pickax in my honesty opinion is a 10 outta 10 woolongs. 💫
And finally, we have Spike's Swordfish 2 as a emote traversal. Now you can travel in style while surfing the infinite galaxies. I don't know if it's just me, but the traversal seems a lot more quicker than other traversals in the game. I'm glad that Fortnite was able to let players ride the spaceship in some way, even though that they skipped out on the glider, for now. Maybe some time in the future you'll be able to purchase it but for now we have this. 😎

As for the lovely Ms. Faye Valentine. She comes with an old but futuristic phone backbling. It is also reactive where different images appears on there. As you can see in the photo on the left, Ed appears in the video and so does Ein, the corgi. Ein would have been a nice addition to the bundle, but unfortunately he's not here. Hopefully, if they do come out with more Cowboy Bebop characters, I will be expecting him to be in some kind of bundle. 😌 The photo on the right is another weapon wrap that you can actually get for free by completing quest in the game. It's also an animated texture from the show's opening title.
Faye Valentine also comes with a pickax, but this time it's her Red Tail spaceship. Although it's very similar to Spikes pickax, this one has a different contrail color with slightly different effects. Now, lets move on to some super high octane gameplay!
Seeing Spike given life and moving throughout the game is truly something special. I hope they add the rest of the characters from the show. But I have a strong feeling that they will. I mean, there's already like a whole bunch of My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and various other anime characters in the game right now.
I forgot to mention that the bundle also comes with an emote with the iconic tank theme from the show's opening. Just hearing the theme within the game is such blast from the past. Honestly, I think that Epic Games did an amazing job with the whole collab, and I've noticed that they've been getting a lot better at creating anime models for the game. Who would you like to see next in Fortnite? Personally, I liked to see Cloud from Final Fantasy 7. That would be another dream come true, oh and also Max Payne!
Seabelts - Tank!
This space jazzy track has been living in my head rent free for many years. I highly recommend that you watch the anime and listen to the entire album from the Seabelts. They were so far ahead of their time when it came to making that stylize jazzy sound in their music.
