Commencing Battle Mission

Hello again my friends

Welcome back. Today I wanted to show you guys something quite cool. I bought this figma a few years ago and never opened. Which is crazy because, I don't normally buy something and not open it. But I guess it just wasn't the right time back then. Today however, I wanted to show you the unboxing process. And yes, It doesn't come fully build. You have to put the pieces together yourself! 🤯

The renders on the box looks pretty dope; showcasing all of the weapons that the figma gets and the different dynamic poses that the character can do. The base model of the figma, that you can see towards the back in the middle, looks really nice even without the armor on. If you noticed the logo on the top right. It's from Bandai Namco, the ones that released this figma. Now, I didn't know that Bandai Namco had their hands in Mechs and a crap ton of anime’s. I must of been living under a rock this whole time haha 😅 I always thought it was strictly video games.

When you open the box, this is what you'll see. When I saw how many pieces were in the box. It was a bit daunting at first. But when I took a closer look at the contents of the package, it didn't seem too bad and the more I looked at it, the more excited I got. Honestly, I felt like a kid again.

This is probably the coolest instruction booklet I've ever seen! It's quite detailed and it walks you through on how to have a smoother assembly process. It even tells to start from the top to bottom. Since it was my first time building a figma model. I did have a little trouble figuring out on how to put the pieces together. But then I noticed the big red box on the top right of the page. It basically said that I was noob and I should flip to the next page if this was my first time building something like this (Lol). 😂

Here's all of the pieces in its full glory. By the way, I really like how that neon green translucent piece stands out.

Tool.jpg

Gods Hand Made In Japan Woohoo!

This is the tool that you'll need to slay a project like this. The tool is called a nippers or rather the god hand. The name is quite heavenly haha. Anyway, the process of cutting chunky plastic is oddly satisfying. Spin chilling, goosebumps type feel, ya know? You can get the god hand on amazon https://a.co/d/iJ2GJL0 , but I was a bit surprise that these tools price range from 13 to 60 dollars. Which I thought was pretty crazy. But it kind of lets you know that a lot of people take this hobby very seriously. And I totally understand now, because the process of building these figmas is actually quite therapeutic. I mean it felt really good clipping the plastic pieces and putting them together. And just a side note here, I am not affiliated with god hand. Just thought that the product was quite good for beginners, such as- myself.

It took me quite some time to put the head, torso, stomach, and hips together. Most of the pieces you see here on the image, are like 2 or 3 pieces that you have to put together for each individual body part. You can't see how many pieces there are for the stomach, but the top half, and bottom half are two pieces. It also includes two ball joints that connect to the torso and hips, which makes it 4 pieces in total! It just makes me wonder though, whoever planed the blue print for these figma models are quite intelligent. There must of been a lot of trial and error that goes into the production of making these models. Maybe someday when I get a 3D printer, I'll be able to make my own mecha models.

This is what it looks like when it's all together. And I gotta say, the base model looks freaking cool! 😎 Surprisingly the figma is fully articulate and has a wide ray of motion. As you can see on the image above, there's different hand models that you can switch out for more dynamic poses. On the left of that, is the armor pieces, which you'll see in the next few photos I took. I know on the package it says 30 minute mission, but this actually took me almost 2 hours to complete (lol). 😆 I very much enjoyed the process of building this together.

That was an awesome project! I'm actually planing on getting more different types of figma models in the near future. I truly had a blast building this one and taking photos of Spinatio. I saw that you could get more add-ons, such as weapons, and more armor types. You can even customize your very own Spinatio and mix and match armor pieces, which is really cool. You can find Spinatio Army Type on Hobby link Japan https://www.hlj.com/1-144-scale-30mm-exm-a9a-spinatio-army-specification-bans62175 but they usually go out of stock quickly. I think I seen another one on Amazon. So if you’re interested, better go buy one while you can!

I've been vibing a lot to ambient drum n bass lately. Feels like I can hone in and have super laser focus while i'm working on projects. Puts me in the flow zone.

Woohoo, you made it to the bottom of the page! I'll let you in on a little secret...I'm already working on a special project. Shhhhh. So be on the look out for that. You don't wanna miss this. 😎👌

And as always, have a good one guys,
until next time, peace, love, and positivity. I'm out.

Que buen trabajo , se nota la dedicacion , muy bueno!!! saludos!

Thank you very much I appreciate it. 🙏

These things are incredible. I've had the opportunity to put together some Robots and All Terrain Cars but with legos, all with over 500 pieces. The experience is unique and when you manage to finish everything the satisfaction is abysmal.
Yours turned out great, I don't know about that character, but I must admit that it turned out very well. I did not expect to get this kind of content here, maybe at some point I will bring one.

Thank you Daltono, I don't think it was all that bad putting it together. Now if I had a Gundam kit, that would probably take me 2 weeks. lol

Ah man, it was extremely satisfying. I had music going on too, a really great experience. I think it's because I haven't worked with my hands like this in a very long time. It reminded me of when I was kid gluing popsicle sticks together, creating a house and people with it.
