Unboxing Razer Viper Ultimate

in Hive Gaming3 years ago

Hello fellow Hive gamers!

As you all know, a gamer's peripherals are key. I have been rocking a Razer DeathAdder Elite for a couple years now, but I decided that it was time to finally dip my toes into the wireless mouse pool. I had always stayed away from wireless peripherals because input lag is a BAD thing, but with the rise of esports, it seems like wireless has come a long way. So let's see what's what!

The packaging is very nice, and speaks to the quality of the product contained within.

The mouse comes with a wired USB charging dock and a USB wireless dongle. The charging dock has a USB port on it that the wireless dongle fits in beautifully and does not interfere with the mouse sitting on the dock.

The dock and mouse both support Razer Chroma via the Razer Synapse app, which has many different modes you can set for the LEDs. I like to keep the color cycle that it has for default, but you can also set it up to change color from green to red for how much battery charge is left on the mouse, which is useful to have a visual cue to remind you to dock the mouse to charge it.

I have been using it for a couple days now, and I can say with certainty that input lag is not an issue whatsoever. It also allows for adjustment of dpi in 5 different stages, which are all customizable. The buttons are also programmable, so there are lots of options for customization. All in all, I am very happy with the upgrade! Now to go pwn some noobs...

Until next time, thanks for reading!
