In the 2nd episode, I did a bit more than my goals, but that's perfectly fine with such a slow start. I'm still getting used to the game mechanics, but I slowly remember how everything works. The setups are just a bit complex, and you have to plan a bit ahead to create a flourishing city.
Since I'm playing with all the DLC's I have, I know I can settle down on a -huge- island a bit later, and if someone already took it... I'm just gonna take it with force.

I did some upgrading on streets, got to over 750 Artisans, which unlocked me Ship of the Line. Almost the most powerful ship to unlock in the game.

Of course, my people were doubting if I could turn the tables with these NPCs, but I showed them I will make them a profitable city with low taxes and everything they need. They decided to throw in a beer party, which is awesome. Once everyone gathered, I decided to use the Easter Egg and enjoy the view a bit.

Finishing the first expedition first gave me a head start. I timed to prepare a ship full of building supplies that I could send to the New World once I finished the expedition. This way, I could establish three Islands of my choosing. I usually try to get as close to the border as possible as it will save me some time traveling, and it gives me less exposure to potential future enemies.

I only started building on one, with the primary needs that my citizens need so they can develop. The other two Islands will provide me everything that I need until late end-game. Having plenty of oil is really important, as it is being used to generate electricity.
Tune in for Episode 3 :)
Cheers,
Ruben
