Hi guys,

You may know me as an spl player as the most I have written about when it comes to hive games is splinterlands. Well, you’re not wrong to categorise me as such cause I do pretty well in it so I love playing it.

Today I’ll be talking about a different game which has been created by the same company managed by splinterlands. Infact they have about 3 games in their collection but today I’ll be talking about moon karts.

As the name implies it’s a kart racing game which has similar mechanics to that of splinterlands. But what can I say? You can only get to appreaciate it when you play it. In this post I’ll be writing my first impressions on the game and then on subsequent posts that I make on the game I’ll make sure to explore the gameplay.

One thing that I like about games built by this company is that they put a lot of effort into their gaming interface. They make sure that you have a feel of that web 2 game lovers feel and you’ll definitely love it.

Just like on spl, the higher level your character, the more stats you get.in spl, if you have a very good card you’re sure to win a lot of games with it if it’s in a higher level when you climb up the tier. It’s the same for moon karts. The moment you start climbing up in ranks you’ll meet more experienced players and this will require those good characters which you upgraded along the way.

The moon karts game features a driver in kart like car. Unlike the renowned spl which is a card game where you can only select and watch the cards play, this game allows you to control your go kart while you play. It’s not just about speed but you have to be strategic as well as that you can earn rewards.

For each game you have 2 minutes time to play which is lovely for something which resembles a strategic game. Before you play any game you’ll need to acquire a character and a go kart as well. You can choose to play as a single player or multiplayer where you compete with others online.

They have in game currencies which are very important. As you race you’ll need to acquire more speed as you climb up the ladder. You can boost your speed by buying or purchasing more fuel which you can use to boost your speed.

I remember I spoke about a driver and a go kart. It turns out before you get those you’ll need to purchase a pack which you can inturn open to get those. You can get the packs from the external hive engine market or in game shop of moon karts. When it comes to upgrading you’ll need to use a currency we call script to upgrade your characters. These script can also be found on hive engine.

When you win a match or race you’re rewarded with the in game currency called Colony, the nice part about this is that you can actually sell these as they are real world assets as well. Just like on spl there is also a leader board here where people who finish above certain spots get rewarded with colony when the season ends.

So today we have looked at the game and what it has to offer. The next time I am sure we’ll be looking at the game play and how to go about it.
