Hi guys,
Welcome to my weekly dosage of splinterlands content. Today I am going to be talking about a strategy I used in winning a particular game. With me it is always nice if I am able to select certain cards out of curiosity and then I end up winning. With this particular battle I was given a 99 mana which I don't like seeing. Yh Yh, I know that there are some people who love it when they get a huge mana to use.
But in my case when I get a mana as high as 99 then I become confused as to what to use. SO in this way I don't like it. In this case I was able to use it to my advantage with the help of the combination of a few cards. I went with 6 cards as usual but it was a few cards who made the difference.
For safety sake I went in for a resurrect card to make sure I got a particular card back it was killed in battle. You know, with the summoner I chose it gave all my cards a void magic ability meaning that if they resurrected the shield will actually help them stay for sometime. To support my cause I went in for other cards like Djinn renovo,
So in this case the rules to battle were in my favour. I say they were in my favour cause I like it when they say cards cannot have the sneak, snike and opportunity ability(fog of war). I think for me I thrive in this type of environment. The other rulesets were all monsters have the reach ability, and the all magic and range monsters have the reach ability.
So I went in for the life element summoner(Grandmaster Ruthe). I wanted to go in for a different element but the cards I wanted to use for my first card was in the life element section. The card that I want in for was Uriel the Purifier. This is a melee card that has 11 mana. With it's great mana it also carries a very strong CV.
It has 4 melee attack,3 speed, 12 health and 4 shield at max level. The abilities of this card are what make me like it so much. It has the flying ability which means other cards can miss it when they attack. It also has the heal ability, redemption ability, it has the recharge ability which I do not like but the you'll have to deal with this disadvantage since the card is a very strong card.
The reason why I wanted this card was because of it's high health and also its heal ability. With it's flying ability a lot of attacks missed it and even when it was attacked it healed back in time. The thing is, I combined it with another very powerful melee card; arkemis the bear which has great melee attack capabilities.
So I went in for supporting cards like Djinn renovo, adelade brightwing and other powerful cards to support. But for this battle the heroes were the first card and my second card. They were the cards who changed the story.
This is the battle link here. You can watch the match to see how it went.
