El videojuego del que vamos a hablar en esta ocasión en videojuegos que desprenden nostalgia, es del turok 2 seeds of evil, la secuela directa del videojuego turok, en donde vamos a continuar con la historia de este juego y la experiencia que brindó la primera experiencia de este juego, además de que este videojuego era compatible con muchos periféricos de una consola que tuvo mucho éxito en su momento, la cual es la Nintendo 64.

Este juego siguió con la temática de videojuego de disparos en primera persona, ya que al terminar el desarrollo por parte de la empresa bit managers, el juego vio la luz en el año 1998 para la consola Nintendo 64 y es que además se agregó compatibilidad para diferentes periféricos y expansiones como la famosa expansión pak que ayudaba a expandir la memoria ram de la consola de Nintendo 64 para así poder gozar de una tasa de fps más alta en los videojuego y así reducir el tiempo de espera de carga en algunos elementos de este juego, algo que podría decirse que es similar a lo que podemos hacer hoy con las consolas de la actualidad como por ejemplo en el caso de ps4, que podemos colocar un disco duro externo con más capacidad o en el caso de playstation 5 en donde ya podemos también expandir la memoria de nuestra consola utilizando un disco duro SSD de tipo m.2, no obstante esto era algo que era capaz de aumentar algunos fps en diferentes videojuegos pero no quita que de igual manera la Nintendo 64 tenía bastante limitaciones en algunas cosas, pero sin duda alguna era capaz de poder muy bien gráficamente este videojuego de turok 2, además de que tenía muy buenas animaciones ya sea en cuanto a nuestro personaje o las armas que podíamos utilizar dentro del gameplay del juego.

Algo positivo que tuvo turok 2, es que tomó de inspiración algunas mecánicas de otros videojuegos que obtuvieron mucho éxito como el Golden eye 007, además de que se agregaban algunos aspectos para agregar mas emoción y dinámica a la experiencia de juego y los niveles que podíamos ver en este juego, sin duda alguna también el diseño de los enemigos y los niveles fue algo que ayudó a sumar mucho valor a este juego, ya que además también es recordado por su excelente banda sonora, que es recordada por muchos jugadores ya que era gracias a esto que los niveles se sentían con gran emoción, en cuanto a los efectos y sprites, el juego también hacía un buen trabajo ya que era muy emocionante ver como funcionaban las diferentes armas que teníamos disponibles y como afectaban estas a los enemigos que atacábamos en los escenarios del juego, también la forma en la que podíamos obtener armas mejores a medida de que fuéramos superando más niveles dentro de la historia del juego.

A pesar de que como bien dije la Nintendo 64 era capaz de manejar bastante bien este videojuego, lo cierto es que algunos niveles tenían mapas tan grandes que era difícil para la consola poder procesar todo esto en tiempos tan cortos, por lo que el juego tenía algunas caídas de frames en zonas específicas, pero lo cierto es que a pesar de que contáramos con el accesorio de expansión de ram, esto no era una solución definitiva al problema pero ayudaba a mejorar un poco dicho error, pese a esto el juego fue muy bien criticado y bastante aclamado por diferentes revistas de Nintendo en la época y muy bien recibida en la comunidad del gaming, ya que el juego llegó a alcanzar cifras de rating que ya habían alcanzado videojuegos como Golden eye 007, ya que al igual que este juego turok 2 logró implementar de forma mejorada su apartado de multijugador para 2 jugadores, por lo que la experiencia de juego en este modalidad era bastante mejorada y divertida, Turok 2 es una joya de videojuego de esta famosa consola, y además es otro de los pilares de los videojuegos de disparos en primera persona, o como mejor lo conocemos a día de hoy videojuegos de categoría FPS.
