After hours of chasing around to the annoying amount of rendezvous, the door to Crooked Mans secret hideout has finally been reached. The players could see the desperation in Bigbys footsteps, the anger in his kick as he busted open the magical door in the hope to beat the shit out of the man who turned the whole town into his puppet show.
I was hoping to see some surprise attacks on Bigbys part, wrecking some of the hired thugs, causing unannounced chaos to the big boss den would’ve been more fun to watch but the hope died down as soon as he entered the secret hiding spot. The Crooked Man was already expecting the visit, he even sent out a fetcher to guide the intruder to his desired destination.
The introduction of Tim was brief, aside from the hardship of him finding work due to his disabilities in Fable Town, the game didn’t show much of his back story. His character did come off as an innocent but hard working soul who just doesn’t want a war to break down between two big forces in the town. And his concern on this matter did sound logical. Two powerful sides would bicker and try to take down each other, but in the middle of it, the people who have nothing to do with it would only suffer.
I have to say, the entry of Bigby in the middle of Crooked Mans secret club discussion was just too satisfying to watch. A powerful kick on the door, ranging steps into the room and then silently taking out the cigarette pack from the pocket and simply lighting one up while leaving the people inside dumbfounded and feeling insulted.
This is the first time the game introduced the character of Crooked Man to the player, and from the look of it, it became quite clear how such a man ended up obtaining so much power over the whole town. He came off as a very calm but calculated manipulator, the way he drives the conversation, it would make anyone believe whatever happens, this man would be able to keep it under control.
Well, in the end the mystery of all the killing rampage of call girls finally got to reveal, and the outburst of Georgie with continuous whining did get somehow annoying at one point. What I didn’t expect was the turn of event and finding the original girl with ribbon. Now, the question is, do I feel bad to leave a gut in the open wounded Gerogie alive to suffer till the end while watching his beloveds mutilated body lying beside him.. Well the answer is nope. That fucker deserved all of it.
Time to finally fight the Blood Mary.
