Last time I quit just as I defeated the first cyber psycho, which is a side quest line. Today I want to advance the plot a bit more, so I went straight to the main mission where I met Dexter DeShawn, an important fixer. Dexter will tell us that he has a big project on his hands. He wants to steal a biochip from the hands of the corpo, to be more specific from Arasaka. The corpo in this universe are sort of like the mega-corporations that control pretty much everything. Araska in particular seems to be one of the most powerful, with quite a large military power. This biochip is a powerful artifact that, according to Dexter, could change the balance of power in Night City.
However, before moving on to the main objective, he tells us that we need to take care of something else first. Dexter needs us to recover a combat robot known as "Flathead" that has fallen into the hands of a criminal gang. He will also tell us that a female corpo agent has been investigating and showing some interest in the robot, so we could use that to our advantage.
At the end of the meeting we will have two options: We will be able to go directly to the criminal gang's lair and recover the robot or, meet first with the agent corpo to see what she has to tell us. In my case I chose the second option, I wanted to meet with her. We will meet in an unpopulated area and there she will let us know who she is and her interests. Apparently she doesn't care about the robot, what she cares about is how a criminal gang managed to steal it. She suspects that there is an infiltrator in Militech, another mega-corporation, and she wants to find out who he is. We will also see that she has kidnapped one of her workers because she thought he was the infiltrator.
We will reach an agreement where she gives us the money to buy the robot from the criminal gang and not have to do it by force. So when the robot is ours, her team will arrive at the gang's lair to interrogate them.
Having finished the meeting, all that remains is to head to the criminal gang's lair. Upon arrival we will be greeted not very friendly, there will be a tension in the air while we talk, things will escalate pretty quickly until we can finally decide whether, we shoot one of the members and we are forced to kill the whole gang or, we calm down and deliver the money we received from the Militech agent. I chose the latter.
When we give them the money, we will take the flathead robot with us. But just when we are about to leave, the corps will arrive and a shootout will start inside the lair. And as we decide not to shoot the criminal gang, they will be our "support" while we try to escape.
Finally, after finishing with several corpo soldiers, we will arrive at the exit, where the guy that the agent had kidnapped in her truck will be waiting for us. He will tell us that, in a way, we saved his life by making the decisions we made with Stout, the Militech agent, so, as a favor, he will save ours and allow us to leave without problems. This is the end of the mission.
After finishing the mission I decided to take a walk around to see what I could find. I ended up inadvertently arriving to one of the combats of the street fighting mission line, which in case you don't remember, consists of completing different combats in different parts of the city. In this case the fight was against twins who share the same mind, so, when fighting, we will do it against both of them at the same time. The rule of these fights is simple, we can not use any weapon, only our fists.
Beating them was not complicated. Although something I noticed with this fight is that the melee combat in this game is horrible, it just doesn't feel right, it's clunky, robotic and ugly, I don't like it at all. But well, after defeating them we will have completed the mission and we can leave.
I must admit that this chapter has made me more interested in the game. Unlike the previous two chapters, where there were many things that didn't convince me, in this one the story did manage to grab me. I'm interested to know more about that Militech agent, will we see her again? Also, with the Flathead robot in our hands, we can now begin the infiltration of the Arasaka offices to steal the biochip.

La última vez lo dejé justo cuando derroté al primer ciberpsicopata, que es una línea de misiones secundarias. Hoy quiero avanzar un poco más en la trama, así que me fui directamente a la misión principal donde me reuní con Dexter DeShawn, un importante fixer. Dexter nos dirá que tiene un proyecto grande entre manos. Quiere robar un biochip de las manos de los corpo, para ser más específico de Arasaka. Los corpo en este universo son algo así como las megacorporaciones que controlan prácticamente todo. Araska en particular parece ser una de las más poderosas, con un poder militar bastante grande. Este biochip es un artefacto poderoso que, según Dexter, podría cambiar el equilibrio de poder en Night City.
Sin embargo, antes de pasar al objetivo principal, nos cuenta que debemos encargarnos de otra cosa primero. Dexter necesita que recuperemos un robot de combate conocido como "Cabeza Plana" que ha caído en manos de una banda criminal. También nos dirá que, una agente de los corpo, ha estado investigando y mostrando cierto interés por el robot, por lo que podríamos usar eso a nuestro favor.
Al terminar la reunión tendremos dos opciones: Podremos ir directamente a la guarida de la banda criminal y recuperar el robot o, reunirnos primero con la agente corpo a ver que tiene que decirnos. En mi caso opté por la segunda opción, quería reunirme con ella. Nos encontraremos en una zona despoblada y ahí nos hará saber quién es y sus intereses. Al parecer a ella no le importa el robot, lo que le importa saber es cómo una banda criminal logró robarlo. Sospecha que hay un infiltrado en Militech, otra megacorporación, y quiere descubrir quién es. También veremos que tiene secuestrado a uno de sus trabajadores porque pensaba que él era el infiltrado.
Llegaremos a un acuerdo donde ella nos da el dinero para comprarle el robot a la banda criminal y no tener que hacerlo a la fuerza. Así cuando el robot sea nuestro, su equipo llegará a la guarida de la banda para interrogarlos.
Habiendo terminado la reunión, solo nos queda dirigirnos a la guarida de la banda criminal. Al llegar nos recibirán no muy amigablemente, habrá una tensión en el aire mientras conversamos, las cosas escalaran bastante rápido hasta que finalmente podremos decidir si, le metemos un tiro a uno de los miembros y nos vemos obligado a matar a toda la banda o, nos calmamos y entregamos el dinero que recibimos de la agente de Militech. Elegí lo segundo.
Al entregarles el dinero nos llevaremos al robot cabeza plana. Pero justo cuando estamos a punto de irnos, llegaran los corpos y se formará un tiroteo en el interior de la guarida. Y como decidimos no dispararle a la banda criminal, estos serán nuestro “apoyo” mientras intentamos escapar.
Finalmente, luego de acabar con varios soldados corpo, llegaremos a la salida, donde nos estará esperando el tipo que la agente tenía secuestrado en su camioneta. Nos dirá que, de cierta forma, le hemos salvado la vida al tomar las decisiones que tomamos con Stout, la agente de Militech, así que, a modo de favor, el nos salvará la nuestra y nos permitirá irnos sin problemas. Aquí acabará la misión.
Luego de acabar la misión decidí darme una vuelta por los alrededores a ver que encontraba. Terminé llegando sin querer a uno de los combates de la línea de misiones de peleas callejeras, que por si no lo recuerdan, consiste en completar distintos combates en diferentes puntos de la ciudad. En este caso el combate era contra unos gemelos que comparten la misma mente, por lo que, al luchar, lo haremos contra los dos al mismo tiempo. La regla de estos combates es simple, no podemos usar ningún arma, solo los puños.
Vencerlos no fue complicado. Aunque algo que noté con esta pelea es que, el combate cuerpo a cuerpo en este juego, es horrible, simplemente no se siente bien, es tosco, robótico y feo, no me gusta nada. Pero bueno, luego de vencerlos habremos completado la misión y podremos marcharnos.
Debo admitir que este capítulo me ha hecho generar más interés por el juego. A diferencia de los dos anteriores, donde había muchas cosas que no terminaban de convencerme, en este la historia sí logró atraparme. Tengo interés por saber más acerca de esa agente de Militech ¿La volveremos a ver? Además, con el robot Cabeza Plana en nuestras manos, ya podemos comenzar la infiltración a las oficinas de Arasaka para robar el biochip.
Le estás agarrando el gusto a la historia, eso es genial. Espero que lo sigas disfrutando, este juego es un poco extenso, así que da para disfrutar un buen puñado de horas, mucho ánimo.
The battles against the cyberpsychopaths seemed strange to me, I don't know, they don't convince me but I must say that there are some that are excellent. I remember one that was a kind of reference to the weeping woman or monster that was really scary when she started screaming and running at you with her mantis claws.
