I had my doubts about whether to start this game now or wait a couple more months. As some of you may well know, a few months ago I passed the first game of this saga; Jedi Fallen Order, so the sequel was clearly in my sights, I just didn't know at what point to play it. The thing is, going through my library and future releases, I realized that there weren't any games that were 'essential' for me these months, because while games like Monster Hunter Wilds or Spider Man 2 interest me, they are titles that I can play a few months down the road without a problem. So well, with that in mind I decided to embark on the Star Wars Jedi Survivor adventure and see how Cal's story continues.
We don't know exactly how much time has passed since the first game. We start off seeing that we are prisoners of some bounty hunters. After the events of the first game, the empire clearly declared us as a danger and offers a juicy reward for us. We will walk around in handcuffs listening as the bounty hunters talk about handing us over to the senator.
When we finally get to the drop off point, we will meet the senator. He will give us a speech and threaten us to lead him to the other Jedi's, and even though we tell him we are the only survivor, he won't believe us. Finally, after we finish talking we'll see our droid friend BD-01 come up behind us, uncuff us and somehow disable our lightsaber so the senator can't use it. It turns out that we let ourselves be captured to get here, since the senator has valuable material on his ship.
When we get free, a combat will begin, several soldiers will arrive and it will basically be a tutorial for us to adapt to the controls. Once we beat them all, we will see how the senator's ship breaks down thanks to BD-01 hacking it.
However, the ship will crash right into our platform and we will fall into the void, we will survive by grabbing onto some loose beams and move across them. This is another tutorial of sorts for us to adapt to the movement controls, as there will be climbing and jumping areas, just like in the first game.
Finally we will reach an important point where we will be climbing and a soldier will cut us off, at that moment we will see the bounty hunter who delivered us appear behind the soldier and kill him. The bounty hunter was our accomplice, a kind of guerrilla that from the beginning was part of our plan. From here we will advance together through the planet until we reach the ship.
The journey with our new guerrilla friend will not be peaceful, we will find a few soldiers and droids that we will defeat, often together and with quite striking movements.
Finally we will arrive at the senator's ship, we will see that there is a whole team outside trying to open it, since the senator locked himself inside. This whole team is working with us, we don't know who they are, but they seem to have a good relationship with Cal.
When we manage to open the ship we will access it and we will see that the senator is completely alone. We will use the force to control his mind so that he reveals the information we want. This information will be a kind of map that will show us that the empire has spread everywhere, which is not good.
When we finish gathering the information we will leave, but just as we leave the ship we will see how several enemy ships arrive and start shooting at us. To my surprise, one of the ones controlling these ships is the ninth sister, with whom we fought in the previous game and cut off one of her hands. I thought she had died, but no, she now has a robotic hand. The ninth sister will murder the Senator for being useless.
Then we will realize that in the middle of the shooting one of our companions was killed. Cal will be very upset and will want to go face to face against the ninth sister, but a ship will explode the platforms and we will fly away.
We will end up falling in a low part of the planet and we will have to ascend again to the place of the ship, since some of our companions are still alive. On our way to ascend we will encounter several enemies that we will defeat, soldiers, droids, nothing new.
Finally we will reach the conflict zone and we will see how a group of soldiers will corner us, but at that moment our bounty hunter friend will save us by clearing the area. We will tell him to keep the enemy ships away and that we will take care of the ninth sister.
Here we will have a duel against the ninth sister. During the fight we will get a new ability or, rather, a new stance. We will split our saber and put one in each hand.
The duel will end with Cal as the winner and the ninth sister beheaded by him. After this we will be on our way, we must meet our team.
Apparently there are only 2 of the team left alive. We will see that they are evaluating the way to the ship to escape, but this way will be full of enemies. At this point Cal says it's time to take revenge for all the dead teammates in this mission, but honestly, I must say that this part wasn't very epic because there were only 5 or 6 soldiers that died in 2 or 4 hits haha.
We will reach our ships and try to escape, but the empire will chase us and sadly one of the companions will end up dying in the chase, the other will escape and we will get separated. Finally we will manage to lose them and we will jump to the speed of light.
Being calmer in the ship, we will realize that it has suffered a breakdown. At that moment Cal will see an old video of all his companions, memories of the first game. Personally I was expecting all of them to be here, but for some reason now Cal is traveling alone.
The only one who can fix the ship's malfunction is Greez, who we knew as the captain in the previous game. So we will have to go to his location and see what he has been doing, but I think that will be a story for the next day. I really liked how this adventure started, I'm very intrigued to find out what has happened to Cal's companions. I hope next day we at least know why we are traveling alone now, but well, we'll see what happens.

Tuve mis dudas sobre si empezar este juego ahora o esperarme un par de meses más. Como bien sabrán algunos, hace unos meses me pasé el primer juego de esta saga; Jedi Fallen Order, por lo que la secuela estaba claramente en mi punto de mira, solo que no sabía en que momento jugarla. La cosa es que, revisando mi biblioteca y los futuros lanzamientos, me di cuenta de que no había ningún juego que fuese ‘esencial’ para mí estos meses, porque si bien juegos como Monster Hunter Wilds o Spider Man 2 me interesan, son títulos que puedo jugar unos meses más adelante sin problema. Así que bueno, teniendo esto en cuenta decidí embarcarme en la aventura de Star Wars Jedi Survivor y ver como continua la historia de Cal.
No sabemos exactamente cuánto tiempo ha pasado desde el primer juego. Comenzaremos viendo que somos prisioneros de unos cazarrecompensas. Luego de los acontecimientos del primer juego, el imperio claramente nos declaró como un peligro y ofrece una jugosa recompensa por nosotros. Caminaremos esposados oyendo como los cazarrecompensas hablan de entregarnos al senador.
Cuando finalmente lleguemos al punto de entrega, conoceremos al senador. Nos dará un discurso y nos amenazará para que lo guiemos hasta los otros Jedi´s, y aunque le diremos que somos el único sobreviviente, no nos creerá. Finalmente, al terminar de hablar veremos como nuestro amigo droide BD-01 se acerca por detrás, nos quita las esposas y de alguna forma desactiva nuestro sable laser para que el senador no pueda usarlo. Resulta que nos dejamos capturar para llegar hasta acá, ya que el senador tiene material valioso en su nave.
Al liberarnos comenzará un combate, llegaran varios soldados y será básicamente un tutorial para que nos adaptemos a los controles. Una vez los venzamos a todos, veremos como la nave del senador se averia gracias a que BD-01 la hackeo.
Sin embargo, la nave se estrellará justo en nuestra plataforma y caeremos al vacío, sobreviviremos agarrándoos a unas vigas sueltas y nos moveremos a través de ellas. Esto es otra especie de tutorial para que nos adaptemos a los controles de movimiento, ya que habrá zonas de escaladas y saltos, igual que en el primer juego.
Finalmente llegaremos a un punto importante donde estaremos escalando y un soldado nos cortará el paso, en ese momento veremos al cazarrecompensas que nos entregó aparecer detrás del soldado y asesinarlo. El cazarrecompensas era nuestro cómplice, una especie de guerrillero que desde el principio formó parte de nuestro plan. A partir de aquí avanzaremos juntos por el planeta hasta llegar a la nave.
El trayecto junto a nuestro nuevo amigo guerrillero no será pacifico, nos encontraremos unos cuantos soldados y droides que venceremos, muchas veces de forma conjunto y con movimientos bastante llamativos.
Finalmente llegaremos a la nave del senador, veremos que hay todo un equipo afuera intentando abrirla, ya que el senador se encerró dentro. Todo este equipo trabaja con nosotros, no sabemos quienes son, pero parecen tener buena relación con Cal.
Cuando logremos abrir la nave accederemos a ella y veremos que el senador está completamente solo. Usaremos la fuerza para controlar su mente y que nos revelé la información que deseamos. Dicha información será una especie de mapa que nos mostrará que el imperio se ha esparcido por todas partes, lo que no es bueno.
Al terminar de recopilar la información nos marcharemos, pero justo al salir de la nave veremos como llegan varias naves enemigas y comienzan a dispararnos. Para mí sorpresa, una de las que controla estas naves es la novena hermana, con la que luchamos en el juego anterior y le cortamos una mano. Pensé que había muerto, pero no, ahora tiene una mano robótica. La novena hermana asesinará al Senador por ser un inútil.
Luego nos daremos cuenta que en mitad del tiroteo asesinaron a una de nuestras compañeras. Cal estará muy molesto y querrá ir de cara contra la novena hermana, pero una nave hará explotar las plataformas y saldremos volando.
Terminaremos cayendo en una parte baja del planeta y deberemos ascender nuevamente al lugar de la nave, ya que algunos de nuestros compañeros siguen vivos. En nuestro trayecto para ascender nos encontraremos con varios enemigos que iremos derrotando, soldados, droides, nada nuevo.
Finalmente llegaremos a la zona del conflicto y veremos como un grupo de soldados nos acorralará, pero en ese momento nuestro amigo cazarrecompensas nos salvará limpiando la zona. Le diremos que mantenga a las naves enemigas lejos y que nosotros nos encargaremos de la novena hermana.
Aquí tendremos un duelo contra la novena hermana. Durante el combate obtendremos una nueva habilidad o, mejor dicho, una nueva postura. Dividiremos nuestro sable y nos pondremos uno en cada mano.
El duelo acabará con Cal como ganador y con la novena hermana decapitada por él. Luego de esto nos pondremos en marcha, debemos reunirnos con nuestro equipo.
Al parecer solo quedan 2 del equipo con vida. Veremos que están evaluando el camino a la nave para escapar, pero dicho camino estará repleto de enemigos. En este momento Cal dice que llego la hora de vengarse por todos los compañeros muertos en esta misión, pero honestamente, debo decir que no fue muy épico esta parte porque solo eran como 5 o 6 soldados que morían de 2 o 4 golpes jaja.
Llegaremos a nuestras naves e intentaremos escapar, pero el imperio nos perseguirá y tristemente uno de los compañeros terminará muriendo en la persecución, el otro escapará y nos separaremos. Finalmente lograremos perderlos y saltaremos a la velocidad de la luz.
Estando más tranquilos en la nave, nos daremos cuenta de que ha sufrido una avería. En ese momento Cal verá un viejo vídeo de todos sus compañeros, recuerdos del primer juego. Personalmente me esperaba que todos ellos estuviesen aquí, pero por alguna razón ahora Cal viaja solo.
El único que puede arreglar la avería de la nave es Greez, al que conocíamos como el capitán en el juego anterior. Así que deberemos ir hasta su ubicación y ver que ha estado haciendo, pero creo que eso será una historia para el próximo día. Me gustó mucho como empezó esta aventura, tengo mucha intriga por saber que ha pasado con los compañeros de Cal. Espero que el próximo día al menos conozcamos porque ahora viajamos solos, pero bueno, ya veremos qué ocurre.

Muy poco me ha gustado la película de Star Wars, mucho menos las cosas que tienen que ver con ello, Pero por alguna razón me ha parecido interesante tu aventura en esta experiencia. Se mira cool el hecho de jugar con lásers.

STOPI played the first part of this game and I found it simply brutal, not only for what it is as a game, including also everything it represents as a story for Star Wars. I'm really looking forward to playing the second part! It looks really incredible, I need to know what happens next! Really spectacular!
Luce genial esta segunda parte, espero que la historia siga manteniendo el buen nivel.
Sabes que he visto cosas mixtas del Jedi Survivor, como que le falta pulido en algunas cosas y así, pero personalmente no he jugado ninguno de los dos, a pesar de eso para mi se ve brutal y algún día le dedicaré su debido tiempo.
Dicho eso y más importante, piensas jugar el Monster Hunter Wilds de salida o esperaras unos meses como dices? yo ya lo tengo reservado así que si lo compras algún día podemos hacer unas cacerías.
Sí salió medio roto y años después aun tiene sus problemas jsjs, pero dejando eso de lado me está gustando.
Con el MH creo que esperaré, primero porque no se si tenga tanto tiempo para dedicarle jaja y segundo porque luego de probar la beta se me bajó un poco la emoción por el rendimiento. Sé que dijeron que lo iban a mejorar para el juego final, pero tengo mis dudas.
Con el MH te diría que lo del rendimiento va en serio, al punto de que dijeron que están estudiando reducir los requisitos mínimos en PC por como va la optimización, mostraron gameplay en PS5 y se veía bastante fluído, lamentablemente no veremos eso reflejado en la segunda beta ahorita en febrero, pero igual si gustas esperar a que salga y ver si está bien optimizado con tus propios ojos es perfectamente válido y hasta sabio, yo probablemente me coma un juego mal optimizado de salida por andar con las ansias asjaksja, esperemos no sea el caso.
