Doom Eternal
# Old version(5/2016)
The new DOOM is the first game to carry the name in 12 years, and the first real Doom game in 22 years, after DOOM 3 disconnected from the formula of fast action for a more atmospheric and slower experience. Developer id Sfotware seems to have realized its past mistake and decided to reboot the franchise and start over. In doing so, they created the ultimate DOOM game that somehow manages to be incredibly nostalgic as well, and the shootings of the most refreshing first body the market has seen in years. That's right - Dom is actually redone by feeling like a classic game. He is fast, brutal and not afraid of high difficulty levels and graphic violence. At the same time, the game adopts more modern elements such as checkpoints, weapons, and even some kind of narrative that pushes this horror carnival forward.
This is not to say the story that is particularly important. This is an afterlife after all, and every bit of dialogue or cinematic scene is used solely to move you from one area full of demons to another. However, if you choose to listen to what the individual characters you will be meeting say, or even read the codex values you collect, you will find an interesting story behind the game's bloodbath. You can learn more about what happened in Mars, understand the origins of each type of monster in front of you, appreciate the guns with which you blast these monsters' heads, and even find out who is the same faceless soldier you play. Still, Doom is Doom, so you can run through the steps without bothering to listen to even a single line of dialogue or read a single codex record, and still enjoy up to the moon (or Mars).
When I say run, I mean it literally. The first thing to note when you pick up the remote is how fast the game is. Your soldier doesn't really walk as he slides to the floor with incredible speed. It takes a while to get used to it, and at first you'll probably miss a jump or two, or go past the demon you wanted to bump with your rifle butt. Once you get into the rhythm of the game, you can appreciate the extra momentum as you head forward to push your shotgun into Cacodemon's face, or run in a circle around Hell Baron with your Plasma Rifle. Our space soldier has become more agile and flexible since the last time we met him, and jumping and climbing around the stage became an integral part of navigation and combat. Standing at a stand is worth the death, but the new freedom of movement means you don't even have to keep your enemies away.
Glory Kills' presentation of Doom's formula also pushes you right to the heart of the action. Once you are seriously injured by a breast, it will start to flash in blue and orange, indicating it's time for the final blow. Sure you can stay a safe distance and finish the job with some bullets from your submachine gun, but Glory Kills add life, ammunition and even armor - all of which are very important when you're playing even at the standard difficulty level. There is also the visual reward, as Glory Kills show different ways of demonizing demons. It does get boring after a few times, but it's still fun to try different kills, and life additions or ammo are worth it.
While Glory Kills are a great way to fill your life meter in trouble, if you run out of ammo, you can always count on the electric saw. It will not be a silent homicide, and this time it is an important part of every battle. The saw can take down any enemy at once, tearing them apart as ammunition spills out of the bleeding carcass like the world's sickest piñata. The saw requires a special type of ammunition, and the larger the enemy, the more special ammunition it takes to cut it. Because you can carry only a limited amount at any time, you can't run around like a space skin. The same is true for the other iconic weapon in the Doom series - the BFG. Although it does not cause ammunition to squirt out of your victims, a single shot well placed from this massive weapon can clear an entire room.
Of course, there are other weapons at your disposal, each more useful and fun than its predecessor. And the best part - you can carry them all at once. You'll have to choose between sniper rifle, clipped shotgun or rocket launcher - they're all there and ready to use when the situation demands it. You can also design any weapon to match your style of play. For example, the hunter may want to add a grenade launcher that allows him to shoot a small explosive device that explodes on the spot, or upgrade the barrel to allow a rapid burst of multiple shots in succession. The machine gun can be equipped with powerful intent to slightly increase both accuracy and damage, or add a small missile launcher that consumes more ammunition for much higher damage. This level of customization is indeed shallow, but it is enough to give you the freedom to develop your own style when slaughtered by demons.
So far, I've focused on the combat aspect of DOOM, which makes sense since shooting demons is how you'll spend most of your time with the game. However, between a room full of monsters and another, there are searches to be made and secrets to be found. These secrets come in the form of collectibles, like Doomguy dolls that develop monster and weapon models, or upgrade points for your armor, health, and ammo capacity. It's great to see that the secret areas, which made the original DOOM so unique at the time, made their way into the new game. The modern twist of character and weapon upgrades is a step up from the original consumables, putting real weight behind every new secret you uncover.
DOOM excels at designing stages and monsters. Seeing the modern versions of the classic monsters would put a smile on the face of every fan of the series, and the way they scatter in every way in bloody detail would make that smile a wicked laugh. Unfortunately, the game falls a bit short when it comes to how the weapons look and sound. If I had to use one word, I'd use "generic" - while the classic shotgun brings back nostalgic memories, most other weapons, including the BFG, look like generic weapons and sound like them. The plasma rifle in particular looks and sounds like Toy and not like the powerful destroyer that is, I also came across a bug in the PS4 version that causes all the music to stop until I claimed an earlier save point.
The multiplayer part of the game takes the opposite approach from the single player. Here, DOOM aims to be more modern, abandoning its roots for a more similar experience to Call of Duty games. Gone are the days when each player starts with the same basic weapon and then runs insanely, skipping and launching around the map to find the nearest powerful weapon. Now, thanks to ready-made equipment, the game can be started with relatively powerful weapons, making the search for powerful weapons least necessary, and therefore less sought after. It was just fine in a completely modern style of play, but DOOM still has some old-school elements, like non-renewable health and armor. So instead of fast PVP action, you get obsessed with armor, health and power objects. Unless you raise the breast.
Demon Run makes the player one of four almost invincible demons. Some of them are more powerful than the others, but all of them are obviously stronger and more resilient than human actors. It's time you stop running away from players, and start killing them in quantities. Playing as one of these demons is very fun and empowering, but they feel unbalanced in most situations. The main problem of the multiplayer mode lies in the fact that modern combat elements do not go so well with the more classic ones, as opposed to what happens in the single player mode.

However, what can't be found in the multiplayer component is easily found in SnapMap. This easy to use map editor allows community members to create collaborative and competitive gaming experiences. While there is no variety as mods support would offer, the tutorial is intuitive and will allow you to start building and creating amazing things with the tools at hand. Of course, you can share your artwork with the world, and there are already some very interesting and innovative community maps out there.
Just like its predecessors, DOOM is a great first-person shooting game. It is a combination of Old School playgrounds with a modern style that work together perfectly, providing an experience that both veteran FPS players and those with more modern preferences will love. The single-player campaign is definitely the strong side of the game, and the majority of participants, with all the fun it can sometimes be, simply can't compete with more modern titles. SnapMap will attract the creative lovers who are looking to build their own personal hell.
The New Version(3/2020)
The new game in the series, Doom Eternal, is a direct continuation of the previous game in the series, simply called Doom, which reboots the series in 2016, where our hero finds himself once again in hell (don't worry, there will be a spoiler how it happened) and has to deal with a multitude of demons, Fortunately, however, he has quite a few ways to kill, blow, cut and destroy each one.
Trip with friends to hell
A new mode introduced at the E3 conference is the multiplayer that joins the veteran gaming series, which has so far not supported the multiplayer in any of its previous games. The new mode, called Battlemode, lets players choose whether to play as the Doomguy (called Slayer), or Hell's Side, as demons.
The Battlemode is basically 1Vs2, with the player playing Slayer coming with a full life and shield, as well as all the weapons and ammunition you can get. The two players who play against him as demons will be able to choose from a wide range of demons, each with their own special ability, which allows the demons to create countless different combat strategies.
I don't just want it - I need it
As we wrote, the intended release date is November 22 (a little far, but that's what it is), and the game has also come out on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch as well as Google Stadia, With Release View includes 3 different editions that will be available for pre-order purchase:
The first is the Standard Edition, which will be available in hard copy or digital. The second is the deluxe edition, which in addition to the game will also include a one-year stripe, 2 single-game campaigns that will be added in the future, a demonic skin to your character and a sound package for your weapons.
The third option is the Collectors Edition, which comes in a metal case and will include, in addition to everything that comes with the luxurious edition, the full-size wearable Slayer Helmet, cassette (and download codes) for the game's original and Dom's 2016 , A stone print "The Gift of Argent Power" as well as a book featuring game illustrations from id Software.
Conclusion
In summary, DOOM Eternal does what its predecessor did and transcends it in every way. Developers realized the strengths of adrenaline-filled battles, with a crazy soundtrack by Mick Gordon in the background, and took them one step further. Eternal is another of what we got in 2016 with upgrades in almost every parameter and everyone joins in for the fun experience I had in this quarantine.
there is a gameplay from the game:
