The years are the 1950s, New York City. The world has never looked grayer and darker. I'm John Blacksd, and I have a simple mystery to crack. Will I be able to solve the mysterious murder case in Blacksad: Under The Skin?
Blacksad: Under The Skin
If there's one thing I love about this world is detectives. They are unique individuals, capable of taking a case and analyzing it into the smallest tiers, with a view to solving the most difficult crime cases. The Blacksad series is actually a comic book series, which tells a host of stories from different eras throughout history, when it uses one central element and is the use of human animals as main characters. The series presents interesting stories as well as deep and varied characters. The Blacksad: Under The Skin game is definitely trying to move it into the video game world.
Plot -
The game Blacksad: Under The Skin lets us into the shoes of John Blacksad, a private black cat detective who has had an easy life at all. Blacksd sits in his office one day when suddenly Mrs. Sonia Dunn, the daughter of a successful boxing institute who is mysteriously dead, goes into the office. Sonia asks Blacksd to help her find the rising star of the boxing club, which also disappeared after Sonia's father was murdered. John agrees to accept the mysterious murder case and goes off to look for clues all over the dark New York
Games -
Blacksad: Under The Skin is an adventure game developed by Pendulo Studios. The game is an adventure game that makes extensive use of the Point N Click game format, which became a familiar and beloved style of play in the 1990s. During the game, we will detect Detective Blacksd in many different locations around the city, find clues and try to put together the big puzzle to show us what really happened and how the Boxing Institute owner was murdered. In addition, the game contains a plethora of parts that will force you to schedule various buttons on the keyboard to continue the story. The game also offers us to play with a controller rather than a keyboard for a smoother gaming experience.
Controlling the main character as well as all the elements of the game is very easy, and it was very easy for me to figure out what to do at any given moment. The game presents an effective set of tips that will help you understand where you should go. This system can also be completely eliminated for the ultimate detective experience.
The game gives you a free hand when it comes to your choices. During different conversations with the variety of characters the game has, you can choose what to say from a law bank, with each option displaying a different answer from the other side of the conversation. Using this type of system creates countless different options for the game plot, up to a level that has about six different endings.
Besides wandering and gathering clues, the game features a number of systems that allow you to get new directions for your exploration. You can connect two different clues to one larger and more detailed clue, you can focus your senses on the character you are talking to to overcome any weaknesses the same character has and more.
Graphics -
The game looks great graphically, but it's not a graphic breakthrough. I played a game on my PC and it showed great graphics and animations. However, there were times when the textures became dim. The characters themselves look great and each character feels different from the other (even if we come across a cat it won't look like the cat we're playing).
The use of animals instead of humans makes the game even more inviting, and here too, there is a graphic importance, with each animal responding as it responds in nature. For example, if a cat hears a cry or a loud voice, its ears move toward the voice, large gorillas will exhale heavily when they are nervous and animals such as rhinos use their horns as weapons.
Sound and Music
Usually I don't attach too much importance to the soundtrack of the game, but in a game like ours, which shows detectives in the past, it is of great importance to the music that will be transmitted to us during our wander around the city. Much to my delight, the game presents the classic jazz tunes we all know when it comes to detectives, and every moment of the game is accompanied by mesmerizing jazz tunes. We also received unique tunes in the action, incorporating the favorite jazz style.
Conclusion -
Blacksad: Under The Skin is a particularly fun detective game. It will carry you a lot of moments of creativity and thinking out of the box, and will allow you to find the solution to the murder case in a way that suits you best. The graphics are great, the music is perfect. If you are looking for an interesting but not necessarily fast and busy game, Blacksad: Under The Skin is definitely a great option.
