Video games that have been ignored or forgotten by many, today are being recognized and that excites me a lot, video games that do not have the value they really should have. Me, I'm a girl who day and night dreams about vampires, so today I'll talk about Soul Reaver, an old game that is very worthwhile.
Los videojuegos que han sido ignorados u olvidado por muchos, al día de hoy están siendo bastante reconocidos y eso me emociona muchísimo, videojuegos que no poseen el valor que realmente deberían de tener. Yo, soy una chica que día y noche sueña con vampiros, así que hoy les hablaré acerca de Soul Reaver, un viejo juego que vale mucho la pena.
The story of this great video game shows a lot of greed and envy. Our main character, Raziel, a beautiful vampire, one day acquires wings, something that is not at all common for his species and that only someone special is worthy of possessing them. Kain, who is the main enemy of this story, impressed by Raziel's wings, looks at them with greed and jealousy, then fractures and tears them off as punishment for such injustice, obviously he only did such a thing out of envy. Kain, who is a kind of evil king, orders Raziel to be thrown into the abyss, a place where vampires suffer and suffer a lot of pain until death. Our precious Raziel dies, but a strange being, the guardian of that infernal abyss brings Raziel back to life, sacrificing his beautiful body, becoming a strange blue being. I would classify him as a kind of spirit, since in order to have a presence in the physical world where he used to live, he must consume the souls of his enemies and thus have a limited presence.
La historia de este gran videojuego muestra mucho la codicia y la envidia. Nuestro personaje principal, Raziel, un precioso vampiro, un día adquiere alas, cosa que no es nada común para su especie y que sólo alguien especial es digno de poseerlas. Kain, quien es el principal enemigo de esta historia, impresionado por las alas de Raziel, las mira con bastante codicia y celos, después fractura y las arranca como castigo por dicha injusticia, obviamente solo hizo tal cosa por envidia. Kain, quien es una especie de rey malvado, ordena que lancen a Raziel al abismo, un lugar en donde los vampiros sufren y padecen de mucho dolor hasta la muerte. Nuestro precioso Raziel muere, pero un extraño ser, el guardián de ese abismo infernar trae de vuelta a la vida a Raziel, sacrificando su hermoso cuerpo, convirtiéndose en un extraño ser azul. Yo lo catalogaría como una especie de espíritu, ya que para poder tener presencia en el mundo físico en donde él antes habitaba, debe de consumir las almas de sus enemigos y así poder tener presencia limitada.
I have to be totally honest, I played it quite some time ago and I didn't like it at all. The game didn't have any subtitles and I've certainly always been bad at English. But it wasn't just the subtitles that I hated about this game, it was also the way it looked, plus I didn't understand how to play at all. As time went by, I improved my English a bit and I played it again but this time I could see it in a different way and I really loved it. The controls that this game has are very similar to those of any old platformer video game, that is, pretty bad but with a lot of practice and effort, you get used to controlling the camera. It would be amazing to see a remake of this game with the graphics and controls designed from scratch, I would have a great time.
Tengo que ser totalmente honesta, hace bastante tiempo lo jugué y no me gustó para nada. El juego no poseía ningún tipo de subtítulos y ciertamente siempre he sido bastante mala con el inglés. Pero no solo era el tema de los subtítulos lo que odiaba de este juego, también el como se veía, además de que no entendía nada de como jugar. Con el paso del tiempo, mejoré un poco mi inglés y volví a jugarlo pero esta vez pude verlo de una manera distinta y verdaderamente me encantó. Los controles que este juego posee son muy parecidos a los de cualquier videojuego plataformero antiguo, o sea, bastante malos pero con mucha práctica y esfuerzo, te acostumbras a controlar la cámara. Sería increíble ver un remake de este videojuego con los gráficos y controles diseñados desde cero, me lo pasaría en grande.
Visually it's a horrible videogame if we compare it with the games of this era. Even so, it's a bit of an old game, so I understand why it looks like this. After a while playing, you get used to the ugly face of our character and the horrible scenery around us. What makes this game amazing is the gameplay experience, it's quite fun and it's more immersive than it looks. In this game you will be able to find riddles, you can do exploration and have lots and lots of battles. To make our adventure much more epic, the game is accompanied by an excellent soundtrack with incredible voices, even I dare to say that there are video games of this era that include a lousy soundtrack and horrible voices that could not compare at all with this work of art. My rating to this game is a resounding 10. I want to thank my precious aunt for helping me a bit with English when I was a little girl and for telling me many vampire stories hahaha. Visualmente es un videojuego horroroso si lo comparamos con los juegos de esta época. Aún así es un juego un poco viejecillo, por lo cual entiendo el porqué luce así. Luego de un rato jugando, te acostumbras al feo rostro de nuestro personaje y a los horribles escenarios que nos rodean. Lo que hace increíble a este juego es la experiencia de juego, es bastante divertido y es más inmersivo de lo que parece. En este juego podrás encontrar acertijos, puedes hacer exploración y tener muchísimas batallas. Para hacer mucho más épicas nuestra aventura, al juego lo acompaña una excelente banda sonora con voces increíbles, incluso me atrevo a decir que existen videojuegos de esta época que incluyen una banda sonora pésima y voces horribles que no se podrían comparar en nada con esta obra de arte. Mi calificación a este juego es un rotundo 10. Quiero agradecer a mi preciosa tía por ayudarme un poco con el inglés cuando era una niña y por contarme muchos cuentos de vampiros jajaja.
