My Gaming Journey Finally Begins!

in Hive Gaming2 months ago

So around a month ago I finally built my first ever gaming PC.It took me a few months and a lot of researching but I finally got it. To tell you the truth, I was really torn about what game I should start with. And finally decided to go with Metro Redux 2033 and couldn't be happier about that choice. I never thought picking which game to play first is going to be an issue for me but it was. And that's because I was away from gaming for a long time. And essentially the only gaming experience that I had was playing Counter Strike and Stronghold Legends, and that was it. For the record I’m 23 now and gaming as childish and silly as it sounds was one of the things that I daydreamed about for a long time. About what I wanted to play and how it would feel like to finally play God of War 2018 for the first time(it was amazing by the way) and maybe a little nervous because I didn’t know if I’m good or not at playing games(I know it’s silly), but here we are!
Before I get to what games I played in the last month or so, I want to ask you guys(if anyone actually read this) to tell me your favorite games and how much playtime you have on them!
Now to the games:

Metro 2033 Redux

I had no idea what this series was about when I bought it! I know it was not a financially reasonable decision but I’m very happy that I did. So my only knowledge of the series was a few minutes of gameplay that I watched from the last installment of them, Metro Exodus from graphics cards testing videos! And that was it. But that was enough to convince me to buy it! Well that and the fact that it was at 90% discount:)
I’m not going to details about the game because there are tons of posts and videos that give you everything that you need to know about the game far better than I can, but let me just say this, Metro 2033 Redux was the first ever game that I played on my new pc despite dozens of other great games that I could go for, and I couldn’t be happier that I did go with this!
Looking forward to playing the second one,Last Light and who knows maybe I'll upload the playthrough on 3Speak, we’ll see when the platform comes back ofcourse.

God of War (2018)

This game came out around six years ago and back then all I could do to at least get a Semblance of how the gameplay experience will feel like, was to watch let’s play videos on Youtube. You might think watching the complete walkthrough of the game not just once but from different Youtubers will decrease my enthusiasm on playing it, but NO! It only got me more excited and less patience to finally play the game. My biggest point of admiration of the game has to be the beautiful graphics and visual design and of course the tight and well written plot.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

I have always been a fan of Call of Duty games since the World at war title on PS2, Although I didn’t have the chance to play all of them and the ones that I did (Modern Warfare 1 & 2) were at extremely low fps, I’m talking 20 frames per second! I never got over it and around the time that Black Ops 6 came out, I started my journey with the series and played the first one. To my surprise, the story and its twists were really interesting and honestly it raised my expectations for the second installment. Hope I don’t get disappointed!( The numbers Mason, what do they mean??) or something like that.

Deep Rock Galactic

There were other games that I played like Crysis 2, Shogun:Total War, Sky: Children of The Light, PlateUP!... but I chose Deep Rock to mention simply because it’s so freaking awesome!
It is by far my most played game with close to 75 Hrs of playtime, and I can’t stop(send help!). I mean, mining minerals and shooting bugs as dwarves that crack jokes even when close to death, how can that not be fun?
(Also you can get drunk and do the missions with a fuzzy head and maybe pass out at the bar if you drink too much! Not that you should do that of course;)

So there, that was my first month of gaming for you and can’t wait to play more!
I was about to start Far Cry 4 and upload the playthroughs on 3speak but unfortunately the platform went down and my plans to finally start uploading videos went down with it! But I’m hopeful that it will be back and I can share this exciting journey with you guys with high quality content.
Note: If anyone is interested and owns PlateUp! I will be more than happy to add you on steam and get the restaurant going!

First of all, I congratulate you on your PC gaming; as a gamer since I was 6 years old (I'm 41 now) what you say is not stupid, on the contrary, living that illusion in the world of video games is something very beautiful and great, so I understand you perfectly because I still live that illusion as the first day I touched a console.

I didn't know the last game, Call of Duty Black Ops is a great game and the following ones are even more brutal, you'll like them a lot, you'll see. I haven't played GOW, I hope to do so soon because it's a visual delight and one of the best games out there without a doubt. Metro Last Light is a great game, I want to play Exodus to see what it's like despite the reviews that say it's not that good. You started with a great game and I hope your adventure continues to rise and you enjoy these wonderful games a lot. I currently have a PS4 and an Xbox series S, the idea is to eventually upgrade to a gaming PC, but the time hasn't come yet, I want to have a PS5 first hehe 😅... Greetings friend 🤘... You Rockkkk!!! 👍😎🔥🎮❤️

Hey man, thanks for the heartwarming comment, I really think GOW is a MUST to play for any serious gamer so check it out if you can. I really hope you get the PS5 or who knows maybe PS5 pro? anyways if you have any recommendations you're more than welcome to share, cheers!✌️
