Just wanted to point out, sorry -- this is Dragon Age: Origins, not Inquisition. 🙂 And was released in 2009!
I love this game so much, I've spent hundreds of hours in it!! Been planning on doing another playthrough, but, right there in your post, at the Battle of Ostagar, the game keeps crashing. 🙁 Think I need to do some fixes or something to make it more compatible with Windows 10 and modern hardware, eurgh.
No worries! I felt a little awkward pointing it out, but I'm glad you appreciated it! 😊
I have a modern gaming laptop. Not quite brand new, it doesn't have the 3000 series graphics cards, just the 2000 series. But it more than meets the specs for Dragon Age and is all up to date. From what I was reading a lot of people have this problem where it crashes at Ostagar specifically on more modern hardware.
Since then, I've modified the file so it's more Large Address Aware, changed compatibility to be with Windows 7, am running as admin, and I've started a new character... fingers crossed it works this time. Have only just reached Ostagar and it's the battle that usually ruins everything. We'll see how it goes! 😃
Well hope this time around it works for you. Yes it is true old games are not always compatible with newer OS's. You can set compatibility mode in the property's of the .exe
:) I'm the opposite of you, I've played D&D on paper, but only a few PC games. Have u played any of those old gold box games on PC? I like that dog.. looks part hyena.

Oh shit, you are correct. Thanks for letting me know, I made the change to the title and info fields.
Nice! I have played through it at least once, maybe twice. Hmm.. yeah check your version. I am running 2.1.1.5 for reference.
Also if your graphics drivers are pretty old its worth trying to update them. Alot of times its just the drivers to your machine causing issues.
Hope you get it working, and again thanks for the correction. I do appreciate it.
