I have to talk about a plague that has existed for many years, decades have passed and this danger still does not disappear, it continues to affect poor people who are introduced without knowing that they will lose their lives and will never recover them, few are those who warn about the devourer of souls causing the unwary to fall one after another, due to the nice publicity that the big businessmen allow themselves to pay thanks to the obtaining of riches due to this type of video games, the obsession that causes is indescribable, they feel the duty to be better and better and for that reason they resort or to play more for hours and hours, even full days or simply pay to have better objects, not to mention that some ask you for membership to start playing. Young people who feel lonely are the big victim, being in a virtual world where they have friends, it feels like an escape from their sad reality, where instead of facing things they isolate themselves where they are "truly happy", what they don't know is that they are hurting themselves. Lately I have seen a lot of promotion about MMORPGs in the community and I simply consider it unacceptable, instead of supporting each other as partners, we only harm ourselves by promoting MMORPGs, titles that harm people's minds and health.
Tengo que hablar de una plaga que lleva existiendo desde hace mucho años, han pasado décadas y este peligro aún no desaparece, sigue afectando a pobres personas que se introducen sin saber que van a perder sus vidas y jamás las volverán a recuperar, pocos son los que advierten sobre el devorador de almas provocando que los incautos caigan uno tras otros, debido a la bonita publicidad que los grandes empresarios se permiten pagar gracias a la obtención de riquezas debido a este tipo de videojuegos, la obsesión que causa es indescriptible, sienten el deber de ser cada vez mejores y por eso recurren o a jugar más durante horas y horas, hasta días completos o simplemente pagan para tener objetos mejores, sin mencionar que algunos te piden membresía para comenzar a jugar. Jóvenes que se sienten solos son la gran víctima, estar en un mundo virtual donde tienen amigos, lo sientes como un escape de su triste realidad, dónde en vez de afrontar las cosas se aíslan donde "verdaderamente son felices", lo que no saben es que se hacen daño a sí mismos. Últimamente he visto por la comunidad mucha promoción acerca de los MMORPGs y simplemente lo considero inadmisible, en vez de apoyarnos como compañeros, solo nos perjudicamos a nosotros mismos promoviendo títulos de dicha índole, títulos que dañan la mente y salud de las personas.

A clear example of this problem can be found in South Park, in the episode called "Make Love, Not Warcraft", where we can see how the protagonists degrade their conditions as human beings the more time they spend playing the videogame, culminating in a totally deplorable state and even when they have achieved their objective, they have no intention of stopping, thus faithfully representing reality.
No hay que irnos muy lejos, el principio de esta enfermedad comienza aproximadamente por 1994, donde es lanzado por primera vez el Warcraft, que luego daría pie a la obsesión de muchos en el 2004, World of Warcraft. Muchos medios y caricaturas importantes han representado la preocupación por los jugadores de dicho videojuego que aún sigue vigente al día de hoy, advirtiendo de como en exceso puede provocar sedentarismo además de actuar como una especie de droga que te consume, generando al largo plazo una dependencia, te sientes bien al completar misiones, cada vez que te premian te da esa dosis de dopamina que te incita a seguir jugando por horas y es un no parar, llegando a puntos insanos donde el individuo con el afán de mejorar puede durar horas en una misma zona matando los mismos enemigos con tal de subir de nivel o obtener objetos y recursos, creyendo en su gran imaginación o más bien sesgo que dicho acto es algo verdaderamente divertido. Un claro ejemplo de esta problemática lo podemos encontrar en South Park, en el capítulo llamado "Make Love, Not Warcraft", donde podemos observar como los protagonistas se van degradando en sus condiciones como seres humanos cuanto más tiempo pasan jugando el videojuego, culminando en un estado totalmente deplorable y aún habiendo conseguido su objetivo, no tienen la intención de parar, representando así fielmente la realidad.

Although WoW is still the king, today there is a MMORPG that due to its slight innovation has managed to attract much of the gaming community, called VALHEIM, this title by grabbing several aspects of games such as Minecraft, title that also destroyed and snatched many lives, create a mixture that is simply addictive, if a person you know invite them to play with them this game, say no, they will thank me later, I'm saving your life.
Después otras empresas ver que con los MMORPGs se podía sacar una gran rentabilidad arrebatándole la vida a personas inocentes, decidieron con el pasar de los años sacar su propia versión del WoW, simplemente el mismo juego con otra apariencia pero con los mismos resultados, algunos otros siendo acabados por salvadores anónimos que mediante el uso del hacking lograron vencer al yugo de la empresa creadora, como es el caso de Tales of Pirates. Algunos de estos títulos usualmente abusan de la publicidad para atraer público, atrapar pobres incautos en sus sucias garras, dicha publicidad hasta se podría considerar invasiva, un claro y evidente ejemplo es el de Albion Online, el cual objetivamente es un mal juego que solo tiene jugadores debido a la publicidad o por otros jugadores que buscan que sus amigos también entren a jugar, tratando que la mayor cantidad de sus amigos se unan a la "divertida aventura", casi pareciendo personas que quieren meter gente en una estafa piramidal. Aunque el WoW sigue siendo el rey, hoy en día hay un MMORPG que debido a su ligera innovación ha conseguido atraer a gran parte de la comunidad gamer, llamado VALHEIM, dicho título al agarrar varios aspectos de juegos como por ejemplo el Minecraft, título que también destrozó y arrebató muchas vidas, crean una mezcla que es simplemente adictiva, sí una persona que conozcan los invitan a jugar con ellos este videojuego, digan no, me lo agradecerán luego, les estoy salvando la vida.

Habiendo expuesto los peligros y artimañas de este "medio de entretenimiento" tan criminal, espero que lleguen a tener más conciencia sobre deciden jugar o recomendar que otros jueguen ya que ya saben, un simple videojuego puede cambiar tu vida permanente y cuando te arrepientas quizás sea demasiado tarde, habrás perdido a todos tus amigos, te habrás alejado de tu familia y terminarás sin vida social alguna, déjame decirte que si pasas horas enfrente de un PC estás desperdiciando tu existencia además de estar dejando entrar al demonio del sedentarismo dentro de tu cuerpo, no tendrás ni condición física para subir unas escaleras. No estoy diciendo que dejes de divertirte mediante los videojuegos, solo quiero que seas consciente de los peligros que conllevan aquellos títulos que basan su premisa en crear un personaje entrando a un mundo donde puedes vivir una vida falsa que fácilmente tu subconsciente preferirá en vez de la realidad. Y es que los estudios lo confirman, puede ser que los videojuegos no te hagan una persona violenta pero lo que sí pueden es volverte un adicto con síndrome de abstinencia que siempre va a querer su droga, su pequeña dosis de un MMORPG.

Some people, for example, I only play 2-3 hours a day and I enjoy it and quit. I have friends who play 12 hours a day, but they usually quit after a month anyway, so they don't dedicate their lives.

Your article reads like a hyperbolic rant, to be honest. You talk about people losing friends, family, their social life, getting fatter and unable to walk up stairs. That's hyperbole. Most people play MMOs to connect further with friends and be more social.
The tiny percentage of players you write about? Maybe 1% of the entire playerbase is like that. Millions of people play MMOs with no issue whatsoever.
Who said WoW was the first? I never said that. I mention it as the beginning because it is the most successful as you mention.
You mention it yourself, they are more sociable in a fictitious environment that comes to replace reality, because they feel better in there.
I didn't say that at all. Using myself as an example: I have a family. I have a child. I have friends who also have children. We all go out to the beach, to restaurants, to each other's homes and have barbecues and fun together. We also play MMOs and other co-op games together.

Respeto su opinión, pero no voy a compartirla. Skyrim se puede jugar indefinidamente y es un juego de un solo jugador. Eso es solo un ejemplo, ya que las personas pueden obsesionarse con cualquier cosa, incluso con el trabajo. Así que declarar que un género de juego es perjudicial, no me parece una afirmación justa.
