Greetings to all of my dear gamer friends, today I am back to share with you my experience and opinions about a very special game. But before we dive into the fascinating world of this title, I would like to ask you a few questions.
Do you like speed and action games? Are you looking for a challenging title? Do you like chaos and destruction? Well if your answer to these questions was yes, you are in the right place. Today I will tell you about the fantastic game Crazy Taxi.

This iconic game, originally released for arcades in 1999 by SEGA, has earned the appreciation of many gamers and that of course includes me as well. I was lucky enough to try it for the first time back in 2019.
Now, you might ask, why so late? The answer is simple, I'm from Cuba. In my country the internet was not easily accessible until 2018. Despite the delay, the wait was worth it, because Crazy Taxi caught me from the first moment I met him.
Gameplay
The premise is simple, You are a cab driver who drives a cab, worth the redundancy. Your objective is to pick up people and transport them as fast as possible to their destination. So far, it all sounds pretty conventional right. However, the real magic of Crazy Taxi is revealed in the way you approach this task.
The fun lies in the way you decide to get to the destination, as you will create a wave of destruction with everything that gets in your way. From razing other cars to knocking down all sorts of objects. Chaos will be constant and you will be able to scare half the world.😅

The game itself lacks a plot, as it was originally designed for arcades. The main goal was always to focus on gameplay, offering us gamers an exciting and action-packed experience from the moment you start playing.
Game mechanics
In Crazy Taxi, the gameplay is the real star, because in each game you will be able to try new things like tricks, stunts and discover unexplored routes, among other options that guarantee our maximum fun. But in order for you to understand it, I will show you how is its gameplay in depth.
Don't run out of time!!!
The first thing you should know is that each game has a countdown time limit. This is recharged with each person you leave at their destination. At the beginning of each game, you will have the possibility to choose a time mode that suits you.
For example, you can start with 50 seconds, 3, 5 or even 10 minutes. Personally, I recommend you to choose the 50 seconds mode, because it creates more tension because you are running out of time and it makes you act crazier.😅

Types of urgency.
In Crazy cab each passenger has a different type of urgency to get to their destination. Some go around happily regardless of how long you take and others will quickly get annoyed and throw themselves out of the cab for not taking them fast. There are also those who are somewhere in the middle, which I call happy in a hurry.😅
Tip: You can tell a passenger's level of urgency by the color of the dollar signs around them.

Always follow the arrow.
This time we won't have a mini map to guide us to get to the destination places in the right way, instead we will have a giant arrow on top of the car that indicates the direction to take at all times.
Sometimes it can be a little confusing because it only points like a compass to the place we should go. But it doesn't take into account what's in between, whether it's buildings or the sea. It's up to you to figure out the best way to get there, of course with a lot of destruction along the way.

Win the best score.
At the end of each game you will receive the score you won. In it you will see how many passengers you carried to their destination, the money you collected in total and your ranking, which curiously is shown in the form of a license.
There are many ways to score, the easiest is by transporting passengers, but if you want the best you will have to perform high speed stunts. This includes passing between cars, jumping over ramps, drifting and of course causing as much destruction as possible in your path.
The best thing about this is that you can use it to compete with friends and somewhat brag about your achievements in the game. I must admit that I was pretty bad at the beginning and everyone was always beating me, well... I still am... but in part, not to say that.🙃😅

The Protagonists.
In the game we have 4 characters to play. Each of them has their own personality and driving skills. It is in your hands to take advantage of each one and get the best scores.
And they are: Axel, B.D. Joe, the beautiful Gena and Gus,(my favorite).

The Minigames.
If you thought that Crazy Taxi was just what I just told you, you can get ready for an additional surprise. The game also contains mini-games! Did you know that? Tell me later in the comments.
These mini-games called "Crazy BoX" add a new layer of experience to the original title, which is already quite fun. They introduce mechanics and objectives that you won't find in the main game. For example doing stunts and performing unique challenges.

But no, that's not all, the best is yet to come. If you complete these mini-games you can unlock unique upgrades and achievements that will serve you in the main game. Great, isn't it?

Soundtrack
What would this title be without its soundtrack, this is one of its best sections. Thanks to it we can achieve a complete immersion and feel that we are part of the madness and frenzy that takes place within the game. It belongs to the genre of Punk and Rock.
However I can assure you that after playing your first game it will be difficult to forget it, in fact if you want to listen to it before trying the game I leave you a link to You tube so you can take a look and draw your own conclusions.
And the graphics?
Of course I can't finish this post without talking about the graphics. The first thing you should know is that we are talking about a game from 1999. That tells us that we should not demand a high graphic quality, because that did not exist at the time it was made.
But don't worry about that, for an old game it is quite well done. And the graphics are correct to enjoy an acceptable quality. I leave you some sample screenshots.

My final opinion.
As a summary and personal opinion I can tell you that it is a great game that you should not miss. I liked it in all its aspects and I can't miss anything. I like its crazy gameplay, the frenetic music and of course the great immersion it creates. So I recommend it 100%.
Hands on action
Now it's your turn, you already know most of the details of this great game, it only remains that you pangas to play. And you know there is no excuse, it is available for both PC and mobile, so you can choose your favorite platform. Of course that is if you like this genre.

A great game that was part of my childhood. It was one of the first titles I played on a PC all those years ago. I remember my dad had a steering wheel that we connected to the PC to play this game, the game itself is fun and using the steering wheel was incredibly crazier haha. I understand they are doing a remaster, will be interesting to try it out when it comes out.

On the other hand, I can imagine how much fun it must be to play this frantic game with a steering wheel. I've only been able to try it on mobile and PC. But I'd definitely like to one day play it with a steering wheel as well. The experience should be even more immersive.

Lol looks like a game that I would enjoy. I remember playing GTA San Andreas and I would just take cab missions and deliveries and such and I would have so much fun with it. Sometimes I just want to do that without the time limit so I can chill and pretend to be a real driver following the traffic rules and such. hahah

I too when I was playing GTA San Andreas did a lot of Taxi missions. They were a lot of fun and made you feel like a normal person.😅. Something hard to be in a GTA. To act normal I mean.🙃.
