A challenging game I am enjoying

This is game #14 in my series for completing SNES games using an emulator and ROMs.

In part 1 of the game Ninja Gaiden 3 I Start by explaining how I chose to settle on only playing the 3rd one in the Trilogy and how I almost went to the letter A for a choice (which I will did if I have no games to play for the letter I am on, will start back from A for choices).
So after testing out how to play quickly and seeing it is actually better than the first and second games because you can climb and do more, which makes the game become a lot more enjoyable from the get go and I keep on playing and slowly getting better in a speedy manner so I can ensure I pass levels and bosses without losing so many lives!

There are a variety of enemies throughout the levels and from the start you are attacked relentlessly through the stages, by having multiple enemies spawn in and keep doing so when moving along. But luckily they are generally only one hit to kill for most of them, so you can easily take them on if you are careful to not get hit too many times and use those powerups/weapons you collect and stack, to your advantage when needed.

With the first boss, it is pretty easy, just dodge the three fires it shoots out and hit it a few times and keep repeating until it is destroyed.
With the second boss, if you saved a lot of your pickups then you will get a lot of damage onto it early on when using them, just keep avoiding the boss and the fire and using your sword when in a low enough and accessible position to hit for more damage and it is a little harder yet still easy boss to work out how to defeat it.

I am really glad I came back to choose Ninja Gaiden 3 and gave it a chance because it has already been a lot of fun to play, challenging, great gameplay and not too easy or too hard with learning how to play and the enemies and bosses.

Streamlabs OBS used for recording and setting the scene with SNES font, my avatar and the game picture for what I am playing.

Emulator used: RetroArch
ROMS: They are the games
Saving: Using emulator saving between levels or occasionally in tough parts so I don't always die and repeat so then the game can get completed.

Man I really miss playing these old school games on Nintendo however my Nintendo switch just ended up getting sniper elite four and I am just absolutely floored with the size of the map the detail and of course the bullet ballistics.

But there are some times I just missed the old school eight and 16-bit cartridges. Having to blow out the cartridge just to be able to get it to play.

Do you have the subscription for the Switch? Because you can get the NES and SNES software/emulators from the store and play a whole heap of games on it!

Nice on Sniper Elite Four, that one I didn't play but it looked fun.

Yeah apparently I'm going to have to educate myself on all this because if I want to get all that extra content I'm going to have to get that subscription.

And all those old games really don't take up much space either.

And thank you very much I have been looking for this game for a while and was really frustrated until I ended up scoring it today. I am super excited.

It's worth the small subscription fee, because all you do is go into the Nintendo store on the switch, go to the SNES/NES parts, go into any game and do the free download which should give the emulator back on your home screen. Then you open that and all the games are there for it, the ones they have on it anyway. 🙂

Ah yes, good to get games you have been looking for and wanting for a while.

man you improve really quick from each death.. thats awesome.. but i must say.. you are literally f***
this game is some sort of nightmare.. get rdy to die a lot while jumping plataforms lol great start !!!

Haha cheers, I am a quick learner and always look to improve... but I had to take out some deaths because the videos would be longer and just multiple extra deaths in the same level, so I mix it up by showing multiple deaths and times attempting and continuing.

Oh I know there will be a lot more dying, the next level really got me a lot more than you will see tomorrow, literally died something like 12 times haha!

As a challenge seeker, I want to play the first ninja garden who comes in SNES but play whit a touchpad on the phone was terrible hahaha, I will try to buy a controller pro for my switch and use it to enjoy those retro games

I think it has them all or the trilogy which has 1 - 3. I think the NES on the Switch also has some but I can't remember.
The normal switch controls are okay to play on and better than a phone haha.
