Rock Tunnel here we go!
This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types
Nearby to Rock Tunnel and above the poke centre was that little grassy area Goliath had passed. A bit of exploring through it found a Growlithe which was ready to be caught.. if only the roar hadn't made Goliath flee!
He wasn't happy with this, so it was face off against the Lass in front of Rock Tunnel to defeat a Paras and Ditto before a quick heal and entering the tunnel.
It would be a big sting to get through okay but at the end would be Lavender town and soon after, is to head to Cerulean city!
It was time.. time to go into Rock Tunnel and use the flash taught to Abra in order to see through the pitch black tunnel. But thankfully Lavender town is just on the other side!
First trainer fight inside would be a Pokemaniac that starts strong with a Voltorb, one using self-destruct which would take out or almost defeat most Pokemon in Goliath's party. Luckily for him, Grimer was a tough one with the ability to withstand much more damage and only took about one third from it. Wartortle which was switched from, gained level nineteen.
After defeating the Pokemaniac's Shellder and then using a repel so the wild Pokemon would leave Goliath alone for a short while.. smooth running to the next trainer, another Pokemaniac but this time a higher level Kabuto was being used as his only Pokemon.
A super effective one shot Thunderbolt was enough to seal it away, to allow gaining level twenty nine on Grimer and carrying on with the next trainer battles.
After an easy battle with nothing exciting happening it was a Pokemaniacs turn and this was a cool combo to see, a Pikachu and a Slowpoke. Both could get a lot stronger or be the evolved forms which would make them much more dangerous!
Dratini and Grimer though could easily make light work of these two, it wasn't long before some easy money and experience was made, from this battle.
Notably in one fight after facing against many Pokemon in another battle which had a Dratini in it.. this one had a Drowzee who had managed to get off a confusion against Goliath's Dratini and with this, almost defeat it but it hung in there and was able to get level twenty four from this battle.
Emulator used: RetroArch with a Gameboy Colour core
ROMS: Pokemon Blue after being put through the randomiser
Saving: (Used for quick loading and for getting back to before I had all Pokemon faint, if I lose and so it is quicker.)
