Far Cry 3 - El Open-World más memorable de la saga de Ubisoft | Comenzando una nueva historia
Hace unos 3-4 días me desperté y leí un mensaje de @pusen en el servidor de Discord de HiveGC anunciando que habían varias ofertas interesantes en Steam. Logré comprar varias ofertas, pero el juego que compré sin dudarlo ni un segundo fue l increíble Far Cry 3. Ya he explicado que tengo mi mercado de Steam está en Pesos Argentinos (ARS) para que así pueda comprar juegos más baratos, entonces gracias a esto logré conseguir Far Cry 3 a $1.30 (unos 133 ARS) :P
Me pareció un precio increíblemente barato y no lo dudé. Tuve que hacerle una limpieza más profunda a mi disco duro para que pudiera instalar más juegos. Usualmente tengo muy poco espacio y debo hacer espacio.
Voy a mencionar que si no te interesa leer spoilers sobre la historia del juego, tengas discreción mientras lees este post. No planeo mencionar muchos aspectos sobre la historia, pero se me puede escapar una que otra cosa.
El aspecto visual es bastante increíble. Como ya la mayoría sabrán, no soy de jugar juegos con elementos visuales tan trabajados debido a que la laptop donde juego es un poco limitada en ese aspecto, pero siento que el trabajo logrado con Far Cry 3 fue estupendo. No hay punto de comparación entre este juego y otros más recientes, quiero decir, Far Cry 3 salió hace 9 años y aún así logra tener mejor aspecto que muchísimos juegos que he jugado a lo largo de mi vida.
El ambiente de toda la trama es en una selva, al parecer fuimos raptados junto a nuestro grupo de amigos y ahora tenemos que buscarlos a todos en la selva. Al comienzo nos dan una pequeña presentación de todo lo que hacíamos con nuestros amigos para luego ser abruptamente cortada por un maniático. El culpable de que estemos encerrados allí.
No recuerdo su nombre, ¿era algo como Vhaast? ¿Rhaast? Ni idea.
Definitivamente es un psicópata.
Básicamente nos ensartamos en una persecución apenas comenzamos el juego y esto muestra toda la acción que vamos a tener. Nos siguen perros, personas, helicópteros y no tenemos que mirar atrás porque moriremos. Me gustó muchísimo esto, no es un comienzo aburrido como en distintos juegos que he podido ver últimamente (como ese Visage que estaba jugando strawhat no hace mucho. Aunque son juegos distintos, aún así es aburrido incluso desde el comienzo).
Lo que no me gustó al principio fue que el aspecto gráfico tiene un cambio considerablemente decente a la hora de alternar entre el juego como tal y las cinemáticas. Para las cinemáticas se ve que es algo mucho más trabajado, así como en una película. Pero es más un capricho que nada, si el juego siempre se viera como en las cinemáticas estoy 100% seguro de que mi pobre bebé no podría ejecutarlo.
Hay quicktime events que sorprendieron un poco. Hace mucho tiempo que no juego cosas con este estilo de jugabilidad, los últimos juegos que recuerdo haber jugado con esta clase de elementos fueron God of War 2 en PS2 (que recuerdos) y Mario Party en DS XD.
Oh claro, y también TLOU, pero fue también hace mucho tiempo.
De resto, básicamente somos rescatados y empezamos lo que es el juego en general. Siempre me ha gustado muchísimo los escenarios de Far Cry 3, he jugado este juego desde sus primeras entregas (Far Cry 1) y siento que siempre han querido dar escenas que sean memorables. Far Cry 1 estaba basado en monstruos y en un experimento fallido si mal no recuerdo, y he notado que a lo largo del tiempo han abandonado este estilo y optaron por algo más "realista". Es más fácil recrear un mundo lleno de locos que un juego con monstruos surrealistas, supongo.
En Far Cry 3 específicamente me encanta la diversidad que hay, fue uno de los primeros juegos donde los animales aparecían en prácticamente cada terreno que vayas, dándole un toque mucho más vivo al juego. Ir caminando y encontrarte una serpiente, o un jaguar o un tigre, o en el mar encontrarte un tiburón mientras nadas. Desde que salió y vi este juego gracias a algunos youtubers, este simple hecho fue el que me permitió enamorarme de este juego.
Estoy bastante feliz de poder jugar este juego. Es un cambio radical a lo que estoy acostumbrado, ya he tenido ciertas oportunidades para jugarlo anteriormente en mi vida, pero estoy bastante feliz de poder hacerlo justo ahora. Los escenarios son bastante geniales y hay un montón de contenido por descubrir. El mapa también se ve medianamente grande y debo desbloquearlo a medida que libero unas especies de torres de control que al parecer bloquean la señal de la isla o algo así.
Es un juego hermoso. No digo que sea el mejor en ningún aspecto, pero me da una satisfacción increíble poder jugarlo en mi pc y no tener que jugar en algún dispositivo prestado por alguien. No sé si es que el juego está increíblemente optimizado y por esto mi laptop puede jugarlo sin problemas, aunque no en "ultra alto" como me gustaría, pero con gráficos en medio puedo jugar con bastante comodidad.
Ayer me diagnosticaron que tengo un problema de salud que debo cuidar bastante y por eso no pude publicar. Pero no tengo en mis planes dejar que eso afecte mi trabajo y espero poder seguir jugando mucho más y seguir publicando.

Far Cry 3 - The most memorable Open-World in Ubisoft's saga | Beginning a new story
About 3-4 days ago I woke up and read a message from @pusen on the HiveGC Discord server announcing that there were several interesting offers on Steam. I managed to buy several offers, but the game I bought without a second's hesitation was the amazing Far Cry 3. I already explained that I have my Steam marketplace is in Argentine Pesos (ARS) so I can buy cheaper games, so thanks to this I managed to get Far Cry 3 at $1.30 (about 133 ARS) :P
It seemed like an incredibly cheap price and I didn't hesitate. I had to give my hard drive a more thorough cleaning so I could install more games. I usually have very little space and have to make room.
I'm going to mention that if you don't care to read spoilers about the game's story, have discretion while reading this post. I don't plan on mentioning much about the story, but I might let one or two things slip out..
The visual aspect is pretty incredible. As most of you already know, I'm not someone who play games with such elaborate visual elements due to the fact that the laptop I play on is a bit limited in that aspect, but I feel that the work achieved with Far Cry 3 was amazing. There is no point of comparison between this game and other more recent games, I mean, Far Cry 3 came out 9 years ago and still manages to look better than a lot of games I have played throughout my life.
The setting of the whole plot is in a jungle, apparently we were kidnapped along with our group of friends and now we have to look for them all in the jungle. At the beginning we are given a small presentation of everything we were doing with our friends to then be abruptly cut by a maniac.
I don't remember his name, was it something like Vhaast? Rhaast? No idea.
He is definitely a psychopath.
Basically we get into a chase as soon as we start the game and this shows all the action we are going to get. We are followed by dogs, people, helicopters and we don't have to look back because we will die. I really liked this, it's not a boring start like in different games I've been able to see lately (like that Visage I was playing strawhat not long ago. Even though they're different games, it's still boring even from the start).
What I didn't like at first was that the graphic aspect has a considerably decent change when it comes to switching between the game as such and the cinematics. For the cinematics you can see that it is something much more worked, as well as in a movie. But it's more of a whim than anything, if the game always looked like the cinematics I'm 100% sure my poor baby wouldn't be able to run it.
There are quicktime events that were a bit surprising. It's been a long time since I've played things with this style of gameplay, the last games I remember playing with this kind of elements were God of War 2 on PS2 (what memories) and Mario Party on DS XD.

Otherwise, we are basically rescued and we start what is the game in general. I've always really liked the scenery in Far Cry 3, I've played this game since its first installments (Far Cry 1) and I feel like they've always wanted to give scenes that are memorable. Far Cry 1 was based on monsters and a failed experiment if I remember correctly, and I have noticed that over time they have abandoned this style and opted for something more "realistic". It's easier to recreate a world full of crazy people than a game with surreal monsters, I guess.
In Far Cry 3 specifically I love the diversity that there is, it was one of the first games where animals appeared in practically every terrain you go, giving a much more lively touch to the game. Go walking and find a snake, or a jaguar or a tiger, or in the sea find a shark while swimming. Since it came out and I saw this game thanks to some youtubers, this simple fact was what allowed me to fall in love with this game.
I'm quite happy to be able to play this game. It's a radical change from what I'm used to, I've had certain opportunities to play it before in my life, but I'm quite happy to be able to do it right now. The scenarios are pretty cool and there's a lot of content to discover. The map also looks moderately large and I have to unlock it as I unlock some sort of control towers that apparently block the island signal or something.
It's a beautiful game. I'm not saying it's the best in any aspect, but it gives me incredible satisfaction to be able to play it on my pc and not having to play it on some device borrowed from someone. I don't know if it's that the game is incredibly optimized and because of this my laptop can play it without problems, although not in "ultra high" as I would like, but with graphics on medium I can play it quite comfortably.
Yesterday I was diagnosed with a health problem that I have to take care of and that's why I couldn't post. But I don't plan to let that affect my work and I hope to be able to continue playing much more and keep posting.

I should probably have picked this up on the sale as well. I never played it enough to do it justice. I only played it for a couple of hours on the PS3 back in the day. I played Far Cry 4 all the way through though and I really enjoyed that. Should probably check out some of the newer games instead. Primal and Blood Dragon looks pretty cool and different.

I'm surprised you didn't buy it. I remember you mentioning that for you it cost $3 or something, you should have taken that opportunity.
I've seen Far Cry 4 and Primal and it's even more amazing, but I'm pretty sure my laptop can't handle that. Primal specifically looks amazing to me, that's the one based on prehistory, right? I remember watching it from my favorite youtubers, it was awesome.

I had already played it for a bit a few years ago and I have a deal myself to not buy games unless I’m gonna play them right away. I have so many games sitting in my library that I bought on sale just because the price was good. Then never played them. Primal is the prehistoric one yeah. Looks pretty cool.

Ufff no sabes lo que te espera manito, este juego es una monstruosidad la historia es excelente y los escenarios de acción son demasiados emocionantes, luchar contra esos bandidos es lo mejor que tiene far cry, espero que disfrutes el juego tanto como yo lo hice en su momento, seguiré está serie de pies a cabeza bajaja
Le quiero dar full a esto loco. Estoy pensando bastante lo de descansar de la universidad luego de lo que me ha pasado, así que muy probablemente vaya a tener más tiempo para meterle full a los juegos. Muchísimas gracias por tu comentario hermano

Wherever you see it, Far Cry 3 as a shooter is an almost perfect game, it's great at what it does, it's incredible what Ubisoft did with this game. I recommend it to practically anyone. Good post, and I hope you recover soon bro.

He jugado el primer Far Cry 1, y siempre que los veo me trae bastante recuerdos de cuando era más joven. Far Cry 3, aunque no es una revolución, es un buen juego y lo tiene bien merecido, yo lo jugué en Playstation 3 y por la comodidad de los controles disfrute aún más el juego. Excelente post bro, me gustó lo que dijiste sobre el juego. Espero y te recuperes, saludos :)
Fue el primer juego que vi que tenía una gran cantidad de contenido desplegado en cualquier parte donde vayas. Es bastante genial sentir que estás jugando algo muy vivo donde tendrás que estar atento a cualquier cosa, siento que Far Cry 3 te da una sensación bastante real si vivieras en una selva de verdad.

Far Cry 3 es un juegazo bro, he jugado muy poco de el pero hizo historia. La mejor parte es tener muchas formas de abordar tus objetivos, desde lo más sigiloso hasta lo más desastroso.
Traeré bastante contenido. Olvidé mencionar que pasé mi primera misión siendo bastante sigiloso, hay un sistema de habilidades bastante genial que había olvidado completamente. Muy probablemente lo haré para el próximo post. ¡Muchas gracias por tu comentario!
