¡Hola a todos!

Debo admitir que no podía esperar más para hacer un nuevo post acerca de ARK, y es que este juego de verdad me enamoró y a pesar de haberlo visto tanto hace mucho tiempo, jugarlo es una experiencia completamente diferente y única que me pone bastante feliz haha.

Hasta este punto ya tenemos casi +40 horas invertidas al ARK y siento que aún hay muchísimo por explorar y hacer. Me gustaría estar al día con todas las cosas que hemos creado, pero tenemos tantos screenshots y tantas locuras que terminaría haciendo un post de +5k de palabras, lol. Para esta ocasión solo les mostraré un poco de todo lo que hemos construido, domado y también cómo el juego nos recordó lo difícil que es.

Hasta este punto ya tuvimos nuestro primer Trike. Personalmente me parece uno de los dinosaurios herbívoros más útiles que existen, y noté que tiene una habilidad... Esto no existía antes.

Muchos dinosaurios en ARK parecen tener habilidades, pero no todos. Antes creo que solo el Pteranodon y el Quetzal tenían la habilidad de cargar a personas y animales utilizando sus patas, esto haciéndose con click derecho. Pero con el Trike noté que ahora podemos hacer una carga que parece hacer bastante daño, aunque no la probé con animales luchadores como un T-rex o un Spino, pero personalmente no creo que un Trike pudiera hacer mucho contra ese estilo de dinos.

Hasta este punto solo queríamos tener de todo un poco, aunque obviamente limitándonos solo a los herbívoros porque literalmente cada dinosaurio agresivo podía hacernos mierda en cuestión de segundos. Y no estoy exagerando, de verdad cualquier cosa que fuera más grande que un Raptor podía acabar con nosotros muy fácilmente, @rishahp fue saqueado por una banda de troodones quienes lo durmieron y abusaron de él física y psicológicamente para luego terminar matándolo. Yo no recordaba el ARK siendo tan difícil, pero adjuntaré una prueba de todo lo que hemos muerto en solo 1 día:

Ya les explico cómo sucedió todo esto.

Antes de contarles toda nuestra historia muriendo, prefiero mostrarles un poco de nuestros avances. A pesar de tener muchos dinosaurios no teníamos las monturas para cada uno y debo admitir que no recuerdo exactamente por qué ya que puede ser porque no teníamos materiales o no teníamos el nivel suficiente como para aprenderlas.

Algo que aprecio bastante pero también temo muchísimo es el mar de este juego. Al comienzo del juego ya puedes ver Megalodones rodeando las orillas de las playas y esto es algo sumamente peligroso ya que, bueno.. un Megalodón es MUY grande en comparación al tamaño del jugador.

Eso que ven allí es un Megalodón sacando su cola del mar. Me parece muy curioso porque desde hace muchos años este bug ha existido en el juego, Megalodones que parecen estar dando una vuelta en 360° y se quedan estancados con la arena del mar, supongo que estando allí mueren porque no pueden comer o no sé si les falta el oxígeno porque la mayoría que he visto están muertos.

Pero ignorando ese hecho, el mar de verdad es algo temible. Tengo recuerdos de que aún hay muchos dinos más grandes, temibles y fuertes, solamente miren lo que considero que es el mar con una profundidad media:

Eso que ven a la derecha es un Megalodón, y sí, no se ve tan grande ni temible. Solo es unas 2-3 veces más grande que el jugador y también puede matarte de solo 3 mordiscos si no tienes nada de armadura encima XD.

Y recuerden que hay dinos más grandes.

Olvidemos el mar por un momento y observen la suerte que tuvimos: Un Bronto que al parecer estaba algo aburrido decidió caminar por encima de nuestra humilde casa de madera que ni siquiera tenía techo, algo bastante irónico porque ayer decidimos mudarnos y construir nuestra fortaleza en otro lugar, y aún así nunca construimos un techo para nuestra casa XD

Oh, ¿y recuerdan que dije que los Megalodones solían bugearse en el mar y también morían por eso? Este es el ejemplo perfecto de ello. De verdad no entiendo por qué sucede esto, creo que hay algo malo en la hitbox de estos dinos, pero hey, carne gratis.

Ahora, respecto a nuestras muertes: Básicamente todo nos mataba. Mayormente nos mataban animales acuáticos como Sarcos (cocodrilos gigantes) o Megalodones y al intentar recuperar nuestras cosas nos mataban otras cosas más pequeñas, como las pirañas de un río cualquiera, lol.

Pero el peor de nuestros enemigos fue un Therizino que apareció justo al lado de nuestra casa y acabó con TODOS nuestros dinos, y cuando digo TODOS fueron TODOS excepto un Moshops que estaba un poco alejado de nuestra casa y por eso el Therizino no lo atacó. Teníamos otro Moshops llamado "Brayan" en honor a nuestro amigo @brataka quien también murió, pero se convirtió en un animal mucho más grande poco después.

Y he allí como nuestro querido Brayan murió, muy probablemente ni siquiera intentó atacar al Therizino, pero prefiero creer que murió heroicamente.

Ya que siempre moríamos decidimos explorar un poco de la isla y comienzo a notar que lo que más me encanta de este juego es la iluminación, siento que a veces es simplemente mágico. También a veces subestimo el tamaño de algunos dinos, como por ejemplo el Bronto de esta foto quien a pesar de estar en un terreno más abajo y más alejado, es más grande que unas cuantas piedras que tiene a la derecha.

A pesar de estar derrotados y haber perdido a muchos dinos, decidimos tomar la decisión más inteligente de nuestra vida: Domar al Therizino que acabó con todos nuestros dinos. Jamás había pensado que el Therizino era un dino fuerte ni mucho menos, pero a lo largo del tiempo hemos notado que es una máquina de matar imparable que ha acabado con media fauna de todo ARK y aún así no ha estado cerca de morir (miento, en realidad sí ha estado cerca de morir pero aún así ha logrado escapar con vida).

No importa que haya acabado con todos nuestros dinos, a partir de el momento que lo domesticamos decidimos nombrarlo como uno de los mejores guerreros que hemos tenido.

Brayan evolucionó a un nombre correctamente escrito "Brahyan" y dejó de ser un Moshops para ahora ser un poderosísimo Therizino. Es bastante loco pensar que lo domamos siendo nivel 24 y ahora está cerca de ser nivel 50, esto demuestra qué tanto hemos jugado T_T

¡Y eso es todo por ahora! Me gustaría seguir describiendo más nuestras aventuras, pero hey, es mejor dejar un poco para luego. Antes de finalizar quiero que vean esta foto porque esta es una característica que no tenía ni idea de que existía, no estoy seguro si es nueva o si siempre ha estado.

Hello everyone!

I must admit that I couldn't wait any longer to make a new post about ARK, and this game really made me fall in love with it and despite having seen it so much a long time ago, playing it is a completely different and unique experience that makes me quite happy haha.

Up to this point we already have almost +40 hours invested in ARK and I feel like there is still so much to explore and do. I wish I could keep up with all the things we've created, but we have so many screenshots and so many crazy things that I'd end up making a +5k words post, lol. For this occasion I'll just show you a little bit of everything we've built, tamed and also how the game reminded us how hard it is.

Up to this point we already had our first Trike. Personally I find it one of the most useful herbivorous dinosaurs in existence, and I noticed that it has an ability.... This didn't exist before.

Many dinosaurs in ARK seem to have abilities, but not all of them. Before I think only the Pteranodon and the Quetzal had the ability to carry people and animals using their legs, this being done by right clicking. But with the Trike I noticed that we can now do a charge that seems to do quite a bit of damage, although I didn't test it on fighting animals like a T-rex or a Spino, but personally I don't think a Trike could do much against that style of dinos.

Up to this point we just wanted to have a little bit of everything, though obviously limiting ourselves to herbivores only because literally every aggressive dinosaur could do shit on us in a matter of seconds. And I'm not exaggerating, really anything bigger than a Raptor could finish us off very easily, @rishahp was ransacked by a gang of troodons who put him to sleep and abused him physically and psychologically and then ended up killing him. I didn't remember the ARK being so difficult, but I will attach a proof of everything we have died in just 1 day:

I'll explain how all this happened.

Before I tell you our whole dying story, I prefer to show you a little bit of our progress. Despite having many dinosaurs we didn't have the mounts for each one and I must admit I don't remember exactly why as it may be because we didn't have materials or we weren't level enough to learn them.

Something I appreciate quite a bit but also dread very much is the sea in this game. At the beginning of the game you can already see Megalodons surrounding the shores of the beaches and this is something extremely dangerous since, well... a Megalodon is VERY big compared to the size of the player.

You know what are you seeing? That's a Megalodon pulling its tail out of the sea. I find it very curious because for many years this bug has existed in the game, Megalodons that seem to be turning 360° and get stuck with the sand of the sea, I guess being there they die because they can't eat or I don't know if they lack oxygen because most I've seen are dead.

But ignoring that fact, the real sea is a scary thing. I have memories that there are still a lot of bigger, scarier and stronger dinos, just look at what I consider to be the sea with an average depth:

That thing you see on the right is a Megalodon, and yes, it doesn't look that big or scary. It's only about 2-3 times bigger than the player and it can also kill you in just 3 bites if you don't have any armor on you XD.

And remember there are bigger dinos.

Let's forget the sea for a moment and look at the luck we had: A Bronto who apparently was a bit bored decided to walk over our humble wooden house that didn't even have a roof, something quite ironic because yesterday we decided to move and build our fortress in another place, and yet we never built a roof for our house XD

Oh, and remember I said that Megalodons used to bug out to sea and die from that too? This is the perfect example of that. I really don't understand why this happens, I think there's something wrong with the hitbox of these dinos, but hey, free meat.

Now, about our deaths: Basically everything killed us. Mostly we were killed by aquatic animals like Sarcos (giant crocodiles) or Megalodons and when trying to retrieve our stuff we were killed by other smaller things, like piranhas from a random river, lol.

But the worst of our enemies was a Therizino that appeared right next to our house and killed ALL our dinos, and when I say ALL it was ALL except one Moshops that was a bit far away from our house and that's why the Therizino didn't attack it. We had another Moshops named "Brayan" in honor of our friend @brataka who also died, but turned into a much bigger animal shortly after.

And there's how our dear Brayan died, most probably he didn't even try to attack the Therizino, but I prefer to believe that he died heroically.

Since we were always dying we decided to explore a bit of the island and I start to notice that what I love the most about this game is the lighting, I feel that sometimes it's just magic. I also sometimes underestimate the size of some dinos, like for example the Bronto in this picture who despite being in a lower and more distant terrain, is bigger than a few stones he has on the right.

Despite being defeated and having lost many dinos, we decided to make the smartest decision of our lives: tame the Therizino that killed all our dinos. I had never thought that the Therizino was a strong dino, far from it, but over time we have noticed that it is an unstoppable killing machine that has wiped out half the fauna of all ARK and yet it has not been close to dying (I'm lying, actually it has been close to dying but still managed to escape with its life).

Never mind that he has wiped out all of our dinos, from the moment we tamed him we decided to name him as one of the best warriors we have ever had.

Brayan evolved to a correctly spelled name "Brahyan" and stopped being a Moshops to now be a very powerful Therizino. It's pretty crazy to think that we tamed him when he was level 24 and now he's close to level 50, it shows how much we've played T_T

And that's all for now! I'd like to go on describing more of our adventures, but hey, it's better to leave some for later. Before I finish I want you to see this picture because this is a feature I had no idea existed, I'm not sure if it's new or if it's always been there.
