Hello cybernaut, welcome once again to another of my stories, today we go with free fire and We will remember a little of his past ....
At some point we return to the hole from which we left, in my case, I have returned to free fire once again. It was months that I was away from him. I remember I had left because I couldn't make sense of it anymore, the people were very rude, they were getting more and more morbid, and a very toxic community. Apart from that, I also felt that it was not the same as before (I'm talking about my beginnings).
Returning to the game, I see that during these months it has had changes, some good and some very ugly, but the change that I noticed the most, was the players.
I have already mentioned before (here in hive), how aberrant the free fire players are, "their community is rotten". Back in the day, something very common in every game, was to come across vulgar and rat children (those who hide in the most hidden parts of the map), out of nowhere, and they would humiliate you with their moves and mocking dances "just for being another player". Back then, it was very easy to get angry thanks to these actions and thus become another toxic. "You could say: that's the dark side of free fire."
An old friend of mine found out I was back in the game and invited me to play. Before, he and I played very often, but I saw that his attitudes were out of place (he even annoyed me), the game had changed him, and that was also a reason why I left. Seeing how free fire absorbed people and even broke friendships, I didn't like it very much, however, the blame is not all on the game, it is also on those who let themselves be consumed by it.
I see that this "friend" has not changed, he is still as rude xD (he had even deleted me), but as we have friends in common, and for that reason is that he found me again. When he started to play I witnessed his "transformation" (the game absorbed him), suddenly he was vulgar and even said rude things to me and shouted into the microphone (reason for me to stay away).
Times change and so do people. Apart from my friend, if I have noticed how the other players if they have had a change "there are no more fights or insults by microphone frequently", in that aspect has improved. Also the things inside the game have changed (like places, biomes, furniture, etc...). Before free fire was a bit simpler, now it has a lot of fantasy stuff (characters with fictitious armor, weapons with very strange shapes, and weird objects in the maps). I remember those times when I played with friends and the game style was totally different from today. Back then, there were "clans", and they organized tournaments among themselves to see who was the best "even betting" (of course, I'm talking about when I was 20 years old, now I'm 24). All that changed, or rather "was lost". In my opinion, the company [Garena] is very much to blame for this [...].
One thing that will never change is the way in which they manage to make money from their players. For a long time they have been recycling skins, and reusing them again giving them a different touch (but obviously you can tell they are copies). There was a time when free fire was also famous for the "clothes", or rather, the skins. This game came out in 2017, by then, Garena was doing a good job to keep their audience happy "they made an effort", and created real battle passes, with well crafted names and quite nice skins (it was worth spending money on those passes).
I remember very well, what the game had a pretty big decline and the veterans (players with battle passes [2018-2019-2020]) withdrew from the game and sold many of those veteran accounts, their prices hovered between about 200$ to 600$ and even more. They sold them on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, here in Latin America, it became a whole business!
Now there is nothing innovative, it seems to me that putting money into it nowadays is a waste, before when something new came out, you could tell that it could be exclusive, now, everything they sell looks very generic, "even so, many of their users spend their money on this, such as 'my friend' ...".
The games have become easier. Before, being a "heroic or Grandmaster" was a luxury, (Free fire has a lot of history), In its heyday, many kids got addicted to the game and developed amazing "techniques" that they used in duels, Are prevented a lot of fast rank up because it was normal to run into an insane person in every Battle (it was crazy [those were good times...]). There were Pro players everywhere, and those techniques were transmitted through YouTube "no kidding", I learned some of those by watching a few videos, for example (the ghost shot, the weapon switch, the kangaroo jump, and more...). Over time those techniques have received a tweak by the rat kids (turning them into crappy techniques) that ruined the game a bit, and that scared some people away (I was one).
It didn't take me long to upgrade to heroic once again, it used to take me around weeks. But since there aren't so many demon players anymore, it's now a breeze to get up to heroic.
Free fire has changed a lot, I will always think that the best of the best is behind me. And you cybernaut, do you know anything about Free Fire? Take care and see you soon.
Must not be fun anymore then hahaha. I played this back when it came out a few years ago with my friends. Had some good time but never got hooked into it.
Jaja es algo muy contradictorio, ahora que no hay tantas peleas "hay más paz", pero siempre faltan algunas para reírse (aunque sean groseros xD)
This is me going back here haha, but I totally get your point, there is some places we can't escape from, honestly I don't know that much about FF but I play other BRs like Fortnite and sometimes Apex, but they are games in which I take vacations from time to time, it can get really messy sometimes because tryhards are everywhere haha.
