During the presentation of Sony's new PlayStation 5, it was revealed that there would be a new game in the Spider-Man series with Miles Morales as its protagonist and it would arrive exclusively for the PS5.
After a long wait, Sony finally shared the final design of the PlayStation 5 as well as the launch games. The official presentation of the PS5 took place after the postponement of the event, one that was made because of the social tension in the United States due to the incidents generated after the death of the African-American George Floyd as well as the presence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) that forced the whole industry to delay its works for 2020
One of the games that generated more impact in the gamer community around the world was the announcement of a new video game for the Spider-Man series, one that would not have Peter Parker as the main character but would give way to the next generation: Miles Morales, the renowned Spider-Man who takes a lot of importance in the Marvel universe for the "Spider-Verse".
However, many have questioned whether this was just a video presentation of what would be a DLC or an expansion for the original Marvel's Spider-Man game for PS4, although this time it would be exclusive to PS5. In fact, rumors began when Sony Interactive Entertainment executive Simon Rutter commented that this was just an extra for the company's original game.
In response to this, Insomniac Games made a statement on Twitter revealing that it would indeed be a completely new game under the title Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which would be released exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and would have "robust and extensive" content considering its predecessor. Here we present you everything that is known about the following Spider-Man adventures on PS5.

As mentioned above, the creators of this new Spider-Man game for Sony's PS5 were faced with the conflict to comment that this title would be an independent game that would be found within the established universe of the first Marvel's Spider-Man. On this occasion, the already known Miles Morales would take the baton as the incredible Spider-Man of New York City.
As if that wasn't enough, the company also announced when the video game would be ready: summer of 2020. Although this is not an exact date, in the United States summer is considered to be between the last months of the year, that is, November or December before Christmas and the end of the year.
This means not only that the Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales game would be ready to be officially presented on these dates, but also that since it is an exclusive PS5 release, the Sony console will also debut during these dates. It is even more likely that both, console and videogame, will arrive at the same time as a "bundle" release.
This would all be part of a common strategy by Sony to get people to use their companies' profits in December to get the new PlayStation 5. This has already been done in other years, but it will also respond to the need of many as they are locked in their homes by the coronavirus pandemic.
History
In the post-crisis scene of the first title, Miles Morales reveals to Peter Parker that he has the powers of Spider-Man, so the two could have an interaction in this second part to act as teacher and pupil while fighting criminals in the city. At least this would be during the beginning of the game, since in the trailer shown you can see that Miles is already a superhero who knows how to control his powers.
Apart from this, there is no confirmation of what will happen with both of them and specifically with Peter so that Miles will come to "replace" the original Spider-Man considering that both are in the same city. However, thanks to the leaks of a user called Utopianthrowaway90 and seeing that Miles has his typical black suit and not Peter's red and blue one, we know that both will go their separate ways.
It is said that Insomniac Games is exploring the idea of swapping both characters but that they will keep the breakpoints with Miles specifically to advance the main story. With respect to the villains, previous leaks position Eddie Brock as the new villain and although everything indicated that Harry Osborn would be Venom in this game, this enemy will appear as a unique version never before seen together with Carnage and Mysterio.
On the other hand, it's not yet known what will replace the Aunt May element of the previous video game. This was a dramatic touch that made a final catharsis with her sacrifice, so in Miles' story he will have to face an even bigger ethical dilemma to overcome the most emotional moment of the previous installment.
Villains
In addition to Green Goblin and Venom, which would make a lot of sense given the conclusion of the first game's story, there were many indications of other Spider-Man villains throughout the game world, provoking future antagonists in a possible sequel that has now been confirmed by Sony and Insomniac Games.
Venom could be a clever distraction given the grim state of Harry Osborn's tank. Actually, we could be watching Riot or Carnage instead of Venom. Given the popularity of that particular character, Insomniac may want to spin his own Venom narrative in the future for an independent game as a more violent anti-hero than Peter or Miles.
One of the most peculiar villain easter-eggs is related to Sandman, whom Peter finds trapped in a sandpot thanks to one of the game's collectible backpacks. Who knows, if some evil force catches up with him, it could explode and wreak havoc to set him free like it did in the comics.
There's a nice reference to Mysterio during the Halloween party sequence in the game and a part of his helmet is in a backpack inside the game, so at least we know he exists in this universe and could make his big appearance against Miles or Peter, thus requiring the help of the former to defeat him.
A.I.M and Taskmaster are also mentioned in the Spider-Man game, and could easily come back in the sequel because the relevant side quests of the title end very well. The Lizard also gets a little attention through some gameplay knowledge, and might come out of the gutter sometime in the near future.
Price
The price of the new game from Insomniac Games has not yet been revealed. Currently PS4 games are between 60 and 80 dollars if they are great titles or members of a great brand. Considering that it is Marvel and Miles Morales' game will be one destined as exclusive for PS5, it is most likely that it will cost between 100 dollars as estimated.
